Why in the name of all that is Dean, did they implement persistence? It seems like its rather game breaking right now, with how it eventually forces servers to crash. And its not like it offers us anything in its current state other than one hell of a good way to hoard loot. So I ask, why so soon? Why implement it when its really not even close to working properly? Now I know its Alpha, all that.. but thats my point.. shouldnt they wait, or pull back on persistence until its actually working to some degree, rather than releasing it in mass when it so clearly breaks the game after enough time passes. The devs themselves said servers may become unstable after 6-7 days and will need to be reset, so why do this to us when it could be tested internally and released once its more polished? Why send it out to stable at all right now? Anyhow.. Im sure this will turn into a discussion rather than someone giving me a clear answer that seems logical as to why they would release something like this, after doing a lot of testing and gathering statistics.. why not just work on it more before pushing to stable? Because you know.. this happens a lot now:

I think we may start a trend here.. server owners making their server the best possible to get others to make it their home.. it means people might start just handing out gear and leaving loot stashes. it really is cool to see the same people, every day.. makes it feel much more like a community and home. I cant wait to congratulate Nikoplaysdayz for killing me the other day... first legit death Ive had in ages. I mean I was startled by the fact that he looked like my clan mate, and actually lowered my weapon.. but still.. it was a damn good kill on his part. And seeing other players engage in action at the NWAF, as well as being helpful in other towns setting up care packages for players to find.. so cool, all of it. Ive rented the penthouse apartment from a nice fellow name Mr. Freeman in Novo. Im moving in next weekend, and cant wait! There is even a grand piano in the main living room that he is just throwing in for free! So excited.. he did say however that several deaths had happened recently in the Penthouse, which was a turn off Ill admit but the view is just so spectacular, and being so high up Im sure it will be the most secure place in all of Chernarus. I think its silly that any AR would ever be found without a mag in it. UNLESS ITS INSIDE A GUN STORE. I mean.. think about it.. Helicopter crashes.. there was an AR on board, but it was not loaded, and there was no ammo on board for it. WTF?! Okay, next one.. Military Barracks. Not the armory. It has 2 AR's inside of it.. not one magazine or box of ammo. Again, WT-literal-F?! No wonder everyone in Chernarus died.. they were running around with empty weapons. :|

So you have somehow killed over 200 players and you still arent sure? Either that is one massive exaggeration.. or you need to pay attention to life in general because after repeating something some 200 times you should have picked up on a thing or two.. Nope. Early Alpha. Damage bugs and spreads across items. Sometimes a perfect shot, only results in a damaged item. Like sunglasses.. Ive had a headshot do nothing to me but damage my glasses. Name the shot, Ive seen it only damage one item.. or kill right there. Its bugged. Not user error.

In my heavy amount of experience with the 2 weapons, killing a respective 20-40 players per weapon over the months.. (My clan kills a lot of people) Ive found that my arguing for the AK101 was silly.. the AKM is in fact slightly better currently. The damage is what does it.. everything else is so nominal that you have to look at the damage as the equalizer.. when it takes 1-2 to down any player, but the AK101 seems to always take an extra bullet or 2.. up close, then you cant ignore that fact. Ive seen it dozens of times, and was a huge advocate for the 101.. but I was silenced by logic. The AKM is better.

You should read the above posts... No. Its about the persistence of the items that have spawned in.. the loot respawn mechanic is fine... But all of this would be a moot point if persistence was off, or not implemented. As those items, would not be spawning incorrectly like they are, and even if it did for a quick moment.. the server restart would clear it up. The only reason loot spawn mechanics are broken is because persistence is broken.

You can build one now.. with backpacks Maybe Igloo style would be best. :)

I am of the opinion that every helicopter crash site should have 1 weapon with a mag and ammo for it, as well as other higher end military loot like ammo cases, high-cap vests, and maybe even the press vest. I cant stand that a heli crash site is so rare and when you get there on a fresh server first, you only find pants and unusable parts for a rifle. There should be a reward for anyone who finds one like an AKM with mag and ammo box, or AKM, scope, mag... etc. At least one weapon that would make you ask yourself, should I drop the one I have for this? Like take the M4.. if you do find one, 5/10 there wont be the parts you need to make it a viable weapon initially. So you have to decide to grab the M4 that is currently unusable besides a 1 round a time thing, if that.. and then you have to find other crash sites if you do keep it, eventually to make it a viable weapon... and in the end, other weapons compare just fine to it that are much easier to find and maintain.. so why? In the end, I hope they make it worth while. Right now its too early to get really worked up about it. But if it stays this way.. it will be maddening.

It is a bug that can be exploited by players. To get an empty area to start looting up again, you have to find the few remaining items that have not been looted. Sometimes its not possible because of some ammo on top of a locker, or things inside buildings that cannot be picked up.
