Ok, its back up.. but I will wait until after the 12pm server reset so players have a good chance of getting the gear before it resets. Ill see you all at the Novo Xmas Tree just after 12pm PST when the server comes back up after the reset. Usually about 12:05-12:15.. Ill log in once its up, kill myself in a glorious fashion, and whoever comes along first will think its a Chistmas Miracle when they find the gear there (if they didnt read this first of course). :P

The server is not coming back online.. so this will be delayed an hour or 2 until it is up.. I will make it on the hour so its easy for people.. Check back! Server?: Because we have constant long resets and hang ups, freezing, crashing, on server #1 our original server. #2 works really well for 99% of our clan.. not me though :( Gear?: As a thank you to those who have played on our server.. At the Christmas tree in Novodmitrovsk you will find me soon on FOG #1. I have a SMERSH vest fully loaded, Olive High Cap Vest, Olive Cargo clothing, M4 near fully loaded, Flashbang, tons of ammo, Ghillie Top, Gun Wrap.. etc.. Ill be commiting suidicide in front of the tree in approx. 35 minutes (11am PST).. you can come to watch, or come to loot. the choice is yours. For me this is every dayz server over the past few weeks.. the higher the ping the more it happens for me.

These are disconnects most likely.. its not persistent, so when it resets the time does and the loot also. If none of those changed, you simply lost connection. And for the record, we NEVER EVER reset our server randomly.. that would be abuse and we stray far away from that stuff. Its on 2 hours already, we would have no reason to be resetting it especially because we dont mind dying and regear very quickly.

The restarts can take between 6-12 minutes.. sometimes slightly longer (15min.) Id love to see a little more night as it gets close to restarting, but as for the long resets there seems to be nothing we can do about those. As for 4 hours restarts, Im all for it.. but have no control over our server. Its independently rented for the FOG clan by one of its members.

Ill drop a trade secret here.. I immediately loot shacks. If they are looted, I move inland right then and there.. if not, I loot more until I find looted buildings, then I move inland slowly towards the NW.

Yesterday.. I experienced a chain of events that led to my finding my first huey crash and "legit" smersh vest (found one in the xmas patch that was loot heavy, but that doesnt count really). I was thinking about how more than any other game Ive ever played, dayz has led me in directions and to places I could have never imagined and it is always a chain of events. A death leads to a respawn which leads to revenge on your killers. An accidental ambush leads to friends finding 2 M4's, leading to hours later, because of the chain of events, you finding a heli crash with 2 smersh vests. A random in game encounter, leads to your being taught how to play the game ....leading to you later meeting that person (who taught you how to play) again, at random, almost 2 years later. Ive had all of these experiences within the past 48 hours, personally, in dayz. What chain of events have led to remarkable, wonderful, odd, or memorable things that happened to you?

I play here, and have a teamspeak channel, etc.. my clan I started is doing quite well, and even though we focus on KOS because we find it fun, we are very respectful and do not always shoot people. Those are designated hot zones, and apparently there is another clan that is cannibals that often runs around Novodmatrosk. The newer large city up North with the tall town square tower.

Mugur.. I dont know if you're still on the game, but it was nice seeing you again on my other post... ..but I could really use a hat, any color will do and type does not matter. Any server is fine too, what ever you play on. If you're still playing the game that is :)

Over 9 months ago Mugur and I met in game at Green Mountain. It started a friendship, and now I learn ...even more for my friend. Mugur.. it was a pleasure meeting you. Truly. And having you return here after all this time, remembering our encounters together.. it made me feel very nostalgic and emotional. I did not know I was responsible for sending you on that path in part, by not having killed (which was never even an idea I had.. I knew you were a man that I could trust and would never want to harm that trust in any way) you. Thank you Mugur. I feel like life is small sometimes, even though it is so massive. I hope all is well for you.. I wish you luck in your future my friend, in what ever you may do. Merry Christmas Mugur! This was unscripted, unplanned, and happened while playing DayZ within our teamspeak channel. Backdrop: A random player on our server asked to join our clan, but we were full at the time. Over time our members got to know him by talking to him in our public channel, that our players on our server often use. The consensus was clear, he was a raging alcoholic. So time goes on, and one day he asks me again while Im feeling in a comedic mood. So I say yes, as a bit of an experiment to see what happens. It took a total of 5 minutes for him to go full blown drunk.. and things took a turn from simple getting to know each other ..to much more adult and personal in nature. NSFW!

Non-presistent.. I find most of mine from Green Mtn. to NWAF.. stick towards the western side and on fresher servers you often get lucky with not too much traveling
