We would be deep down inside.. the overwatch would call them out first, well before they got there.. which would allow us time to scatter, take cover, and take their ass down like... faster than a big girl destroys a box of thin mints. Also the nades only really throw so far.. so they would have to get pretty close to cause any damage if we were all hanging around the Xmas tree. ;)

While a more open area sounds ridiculously bad tactically for a large scale meeting.. perhaps it actually would be best? There is only open fields surrounding the quarry, and just one overwatch could spot anyone approaching in the proper position (I know of several that would work). Also, if anyone did attack us there is plenty of room to flee and hide among the alcoves, sheds, and cliffs. Would be a tough spot to try to attack unless you had some serious numbers involved.

I had this need to entertain people a short while back around Xmas.. joined an experimental full pop. I impersonated Matthew Mcconaughey and was acting as if I was tripping out on this really good stuff called Drakon Acid. It comes in large bags, and makes you hallucinate like crazy.. at least thats what I told people. Well this one guy, we are rolling around.. he is laughing his ass off and Im having fun. We get in front of the school in Elektro with the tree and eventually we somehow are on the very top of the roof.. I tell him I think Im starting to "peak", and that I see dragons flying around of all sorts of colors. I started to act like I was freaking out.. and leapt off the roof to what I said was a rainbow bridge to freedom, and that he should follow me.. I landed right on the xmas tree on accident. Died, right there. All I heard was him cracking up laughing looking for my body, which had decent gear on it.. eventually he did, and then fell out laughing even harder. It was just priceless. About 20 mins later I made my way back, and found his corpse along with about 5 others pilled up in front of the Church. Bandits were inside, baiting me to open the door, which was locked. One of them glitched out the back well, I saw him pass through it.. and came out to attack me, a fresh spawn with nothing on him. So, I ducked, rolled, picked up a pick axe off my dead friend and exacted revenge for him. All in all, it was just one of the most entertaining nights of dayz ever for me. I laughed so much, had a massive fight with high tension against what I think were horribly awful hacker-bandits, and the only bad part was I missed out on recording it all because I got too drunk to remember to hit record. :) Great story OP..

Dot, You have been nothing short of immature, condescending, and arrogant since you walked into this thread. Like I stated before, if you werent rude then your critique would be met with conversation. You seem to have been quite rustled by the FOG clan, that much is true. We were already here, so you cant say that YOU struck a nerve. But having you make this account, not say who you are or what clan you roll with and make claims of amazingness like you're 14 going on 40 makes me want to literally laugh in your face. You come across as such a pathetic person, its barely worth my time talking to you. But since you asked for it, allow me to retort. First and foremost, our sever is not empty. Check back next week and see where we stand. Its been live for all of 4 days without FOG #1. And in those 4 days we have made a steady climb from the bottom of the server rankings into the top 900. In just a few days, just like our other servers have done.. eventually getting into the top 150, which for a private shard 1st person only is quite good, considering it only takes us usually about 1 week to get there. So with that said, our server is doing fine on population. Now, lets backtrack to why you are so upset over the FOG clan? I mean you claim to have owned us several times, and you're so good and all that. Why the hostility? We play respectfully on the field and off, and treat others as they treat us. What exactly made you come in here with your, "its so easy for you on easy mode with your 2 hour loot refreshes, I mean restarts" bullshit? Have you asked yourself that question? Hey, self.. why the fuck do I care so much about these grown men that pull no punches and are about as a transparent clan as has ever been on dayz? I bet you havent. I bet you are just reacting. yeah.. I like it just like barren persistent servers. Each has their own draw to it.. the way our server is and has been for a while is more like DayZero, where its highly pvp focused and loot is not that difficult to come by. Sidenote, our server just seems like a loot haven even with persistence off. I mean Ive found everything on it, and rather easily. Back to topic, its fun gearing up and going to war and knowing where to find the action and having regearing not be such a pain in the ass. But its not for everyone, nor is it something I would recommend doing all the time without variation. I love to hop into servers and mess around from time to time. Love the challenge of barren persistent servers with almost zero loot. Love the game. Glad you are enjoying yourself on our server.. and I hear you on the freezing thing. I often get so caught up in the fight on our server that I forget to eat, drink and whatnot lately. Which leaves me freezing, starving and seeing grey for long periods of time. Pisses me right the hell off.. but I love it! :)

I had just ran through that area on experimental and did not see any new additions? Thats weird. Oh well.. I suck for being late to the party. btw, the mil area is old. The mine area was changed and is new. I had no idea the villages were in though.. I think its a really cool addition. Why anyone would be opposed to new areas that used to be useless, is beyond me. Now they are great towns to call home and light a fire since they are so far away no one visits them unless they are looking to get away from others. Ive got a few of them on my list now that I use, and I can tell you.. people dont ever loot them.
