Yeah... it would have saved me some trouble, but to be honest I had planned to kill off that character anyhow.. so its was mainly for science that I did to begin with. ;) This.. Since I learned I cant do it on my body, which to me was just priceless thinking that someone may shoot me and then get blown up trying to loot my body, I will be forever placing nades in tents and global objects whether they are mine or not. MWAHAHAAAHAHA!

It seemed to me to be sort of a replacement.. as in we have boulder pack now, but no coyote.. but I dont know. They seem similar to me.

I am only one man.. also, I am not a hoarder. Just a light collector ;) Its fairly empty now.. friends heard I had extra stuff I didnt want and came running :P This post is not one of my typical "giveaway" posts.. which I do often btw. This was just to show those who felt like having camps or high end loot was too tough without a group, that its very possible even with a very small amount of time invested (approx. 15-20 hours total).

This is really all I have these dayz.. Night. But the new renderer pics have me slightly worried that the night may be far brighter soon. When I was playing in clans and meeting other players constantly... I would always ask them, "where are you?" The common response was, "Im not sure." So then I'd ask, "what can you see around you?" A few minutes later and I would be telling them where they are and when I would be there to meet them.. Thats how bad it is for me after all these years playing on this map. Even with the new stuff added, I can still pretty much just look at the terrain and know exactly where I am. Its a blessing and curse. A blessing in that Im never lost, and can always help others quickly. A curse in that the map itself, feels like Ive lived there my whole life and nothing is new. Sort of like the small town I grew up in IRL. I know it like the back of my hand, and at times that gets fairly boring.

I hate that I always know where I am these dayz.. Its literally impossible for me to get lost for any real length of time.

Its a feature. Trust me, it is.

I was that kid that wanted to do all of those things... at once.

What did I miss... ?

Something like what an old version of dayz had.. a randomly appearing, scary as hell, crap-in-the-pants inducing death monster. Something like this: ...or they could just somehow make zombies actually scary. Either or.

Those who are filled with fear will find in time that a lot of energy was wasted..

I just died laughing.. thank you to all who helped in that. Now to the OP, I would love to see what the modders do with NPC's. There were some mods for the early dayz that had NPC soldiers in them that I loved.. and Ive always found the arma AI to be quite fun to go up against.

Dayzero is a ton of fun. But remember its a mod of a mod. When dayz SA goes to the mod community, it will flourish.

The value of base building is simple to explain... At one end of the player spectrum, simply staying alive is the key focus, at the other end finding something to do in game, that fills up your time, is the focus. Clans and groups tend to be in this category. Cars, gathering excess loot, making camps, etc.. all help players who have run out of things to do, find something to do. So base building has its value in that, and in that alone; it is simply something to do, that can and will fill up your time. Large clans will keep making their base bigger, or will make more bases. Players will be forced to protect them, while others try to search them out and steal their precious gear. Clans that want a short cut to building a base will raid one simply for the building materials. It goes on and on. It, like anything else in dayz is only there for players to choose if they want to take the time to do it. Now, with that said... taking the time to complain about base building.. assuming that things will be bad, or worthless... is a total waste of time. Because all it is about from the beginning, is time. Will base's take up players time? Yes. Does it have value in that, like anything and everything else in dayz? Yes. Simple stuff.

I find the entire map, and further more game, to be just like this. ;)
