LOL.. of course it is! But Im surprised at what I can get out of it.. I play a lot of different PC games and dont tend to have an issue with really any of them save Arma 3 multiplayer.. but that may have changed since patches, I just gave up on it with 10fps per game. I really am learning a lot in the process which was another reason why I went budget build besides not wanting to spend too much cash I wanted to learn along the way and upgrade frequently. Then I had a baby. No upgrades in my near future.. LOL. Funny side note, my PC mobo, HDD and case used to belong to a fairly well known actor here in the US. The data was all there when I bought it. I still laugh when I look at it sometimes. This planet sure can be small.

Plays dayz... goes to store finds food, gets back "home" and cooks it. Eats some cooked food. Gets off of dayz. Has to go to store to get some groceries, IRL. Gets home and cooks some dinner. Eats. :huh:

You actually can adjust several settings in dayz and your PC, still have it look good and be running between 30-40 in cities.. at least I can with my rig. So just wondering, since Im bored.. what is peoples average lifespan in dayz? So far it feels like I can live longer in the SA versus the mods, but I wonder what other peoples opinions are especially those that are new to dayz. Feel free to discuss, troll, hate, rage, riot, or ignore :)

1. I haven't died yet.. cant say 2. Not yet.. if they offer mod support soon, which Dean said is a top priority. Then someone will create a version with spawn points. Its been in before. But also.. it really only takes about 15 mins to run to just about any location from just about any spawn in SA. Just sprint there and it really does not take that long. 3.No dedicated servers yet.. again, mod support inbound. 4. You can never eliminate all hackers.. its a fact of life. But its much more rare since around mid-jan when B.E. detected a script injector that was being given away online that so many little hackers were using. Now anyone that hacks still faces a global BE ban, which is quite horrible if you're not a pro hacker and most are not and they have to pay for or create their own script injector and that is not easy or expensive.

Bullets>food. Why? Because if you're dying.. at least you can have fun killing people or shooting zeds. But if you have a ton of food and no bullets all you can do is be full.

Do people not know what a player looks like alive versus dead? Its very clear if you just look at them. If they are not dead, put a bullet in their head until they are. Their body will turn all "ruined" looking when they actually die.

Im sure people will take his parting in various ways but I mean... this was the plan all along. Dean is there as a consultant. Thats really it. He has ideas, and since he came up with Dayz BIS is working with him because well, its highly profitable for them. Its also why you see such hap hazard approach to this game. They are just kind of winging it as Dean comes up with new ideas. Im sure what will happen is Dean will leave, Dayz will get better.. and eventually we will hear about Rockets Mtn game that focuses on survival. I for one am happy to hear he is going. I think BIS with its Arma background will take this game to a better place than Rocket with his, "Lets make a real game that is just a pain as real life is and add in everything in the world we can come up with."

Alpha = public hive (too many reasons to list why) Beta and beyond = private hives ..All you have to do is look at the history of BIS games to know this will happen. Im also sure mods will be allowed too at some point.

Check your control settings and make sure your PTT button is not set up with anything else.. Like say image capture or fraps video record.. It would make sense if you're taking an image every time you use PTT which would slow down any PC at least ever so slightly.

I mean no offense.. but its hilarious that people will try to take gear in the hopes of hiding it from other players in a game that resets those loot tables every 4 hours or less in most cases. Its like trying to drain the Ocean with a spoon, and emptying it into the river that flows back into the Ocean.

You never played any of the mods did you? Its been in the dayz mods before and probably still is on some of them, both just getting sick and eventually dying.. and also once you die you spawn as a zed. Both options were pretty lame imo, but Im sure a lot of people out there would like it if they never tried it.

^ yes! George Sukalos or however you spell his name needs to get on this subject asap. Im sure he could explain how aliens abducted Dean Hall while on his Mtn expedition, and that ever since they have been using Dayz to reprogram players in the hopes of creating a slave race prior to their invasion.

The lack of knowing I can do simple tasks like walk, run, climb and jump make this game kind of what it is.. The fear factor goes way up when you are literally crippled and its a zombie apocalypse. It's sort of like being this guy all the time while trying not to die from everything: ...wut, too soon? :P

I like the camo effect you get with just about any ruined clothing item.. makes it look all apocalypsy.
