Say your body disappeared after death instantly.. People would be a lot more careful outside of spawn areas, and super reckless near them (as new spawns that is). And on the other end, if you spawned next to your dead body people would be acting the fool all over the place..

We had zombies that were basically one hit kills during one of the later vanilla mod updates.. it was insane, and about 5-10% of the community liked it.

I entered the Corps back in '96 and we used bootbands back then.. except for combat/field, that was anything goes

As far as US military, we do not (unless its a new thing they started doing recently) tuck our pants in our boots. We use bootbands to make it look that way..

You did not give me a 5 minute option so I was forced to pick 1 hour.. it usually only takes me 5-10 minutes to gear up if I spawn near electro.. bodies everywhere.

That is exactly what I do.. I have my PC monitor off to the right side of my couch and our large flat screen tv off to the left for the tele.. I can watch TV and play dayz at the same time. The wireless setup works great with no issues, and I get to relax while I play rather than be hunched over

I am highly impressed, both with the clan and the event.. COUNT ME IN. Well, as long as its not all full by the time I get there.. ;)

Dumbed down? How.. like they remove features and dont do a direct port which they would do since its, you know on the same format? Like Outlast, or well.. you get it. And if you really think the average 12 year old would not like this game, I guess you do not realize how many average 12 year olds already play it on PC. Console is just a medium.. like PC. Its like saying a screwdriver is not worth using ever, only a powered hand driver. They both do the same thing, just one is more convenient. If they bring Dayz to consoles the only difference will be the graphics will be set lower. Thats it. And they might have microtransactions or something stupid like DLC. But its not going to be lacking content or dumbed down just because its being put on what is essentially a low level PC disguised as a console. I get it. WE ARE THE MASTER RACE. But do we really have to be so ignorant as to believe we are actually better? I can still remember when I was poor and only had a console. It was rough, third world living man. Now I feel like a refugee who made it to America.. humble and thankful. Not justified and judgemental.

That is buried on page 26... of an old post about experimental. I would say this post was called for since its unclear what is happening with the patches today. It informed the hell out of me.. and stopped me from making a post on the same subject. I dont get why the admins and mods seem so against a new thread in a general discussion area? Ughhh.. dont effing server hop. Go watch some videos, learn about servers and restarts and how looting works. Get a buddy who has played longer than you and knows his stuff. Because if you have played for 10 hours and only have 2 pipsi from it.. YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG SIR.

Sony and MS have already offered help and funding to ensure this happens.. it most likely will as the porting is straightforward and the money is REALLY GOOD. With that said though, it will be at least a full year before this game is in final release and out of beta. After that they can sign contracts, and port over to consoles. And make more millions.

You know, when you're marketing a game to mostly US players, or in the future plan to.. it makes sense to have them feel "included". Im willing to bet its got a good deal to do with them being approached by console makers. All of this silly stuff got added in after Sony and MS started to talk to the dayz staff from what I can tell.
