I played Socom on PS2 right up until the servers were taken down for good. At the end the player base was about 40 most nights.. the final week it went into the 1,000's. So, you are 100% correct.. all this game needs is a small group who want similar experiences and it will not "die".

You might need a new monitor or something man.. I dont have any of those issues and quite frankly I see fine at night... I never use lights or torches or anything. :/

Because you don't have to do any "fixes", easy or not. This is a one time thing, that permanently corrects the dark recording issue without needing to adjust anything in the game (other than windowed mode). Why ask, why I offered help.. and not offer any yourself? That part, right there... is confusing as fuck man. :)

For some reason no one brought this up: Shadowplay - Windowed Borderless Mode. Open Geforce Experience - enable desktop capture. Open Dayz - enable windowed mode in video settings. Push CTL-ALT-ENTER to go into the borderless mode once the game starts. Record your gameplay without any issues whatsoever. For streaming, listen to the other advice.

My confidence lies with those who will soon mod this game to new heights. As for BI, they are literally focused on making a console game.. but that's okay.

I mean no personal offense.. but those ideas are terrible. We do not need more "realism", we need more entertainment value. I mean.. I can be homeless if I want "survival". If you want ideas.. how about when they make the single player game, they ramp up the difficulty on it. So give those players who opt out of online play a choice: EASY, or DIFFICULT. In difficult mode, animations play longer for no reason at all. It takes you 15 minutes to cook food. Every 30 mins you have to take a piss, and that takes 5 mins. Every hour you have to eat. Every 10 mins you have to drink. One infected hit will kill you. There.. does that seem more fun? Also.. too late for ideas at this point, BI has their plans locked down.

Well, I sure hope I have to pay attention to everything I eat in game.. That sounds like sooooo... much.... fun. :/

Y'all got it wrong. Defeat the final dragon, inside Diablo's Castle. There are 7 dragons in total, each specializes in different elements. The final dragon is diamond, the toughest to beat. You'll need to find a broad sword, have it blessed by the mage in the Northwest village of Tisy. Then find the magical anvil (which does lay within the dungeons on Unicorn Island off the coast of Rify) and forge the diamond tipped spear of destiny with it. Once you have all of that, defeat the other 6 dragons, use the spear on the final dragon when he exposes his weak spot (look for glowing orb on his throat) and wait about 15-20 mins for him to die while he attacks you. When he dies you'll get the special dragon crystal. With that crystal you can load special ammo, make special arrows, forge a sword that kills almost everything in game in one hit, and make special armor that can withstand explosives and infected hits.

This close to beta.. too late to the party if you ask me. Ideas are great, but ask yourself first.. is there even a chance of them doing something brand new, that they haven't already started work on, this late in the game?

I have some mixed feelings about base building: 1. its nice to have something to do once you reach the "top level" of loot possession. 2. it created essentially a new game, not about survival, but about attacking and defending your/others bases. 3. it created a ton of fps/lag issues in certain situations.. Im not too eager to see this happen again (once people are stock piling shit tons of loot on one server, etc..) 4. The way it was implemented things always came out looking rather.. childish. Now with that said.. if its done right, if it entails using existing structures far more than building an entire new one (blocking off windows, doors) than it sounds like it could be a good thing. But I dont really see it working out well if say one server becomes very popular, and 75% of your friday night player base frequents that one server. People build bases on it, it becomes a pvp fest, and eventually players are logging into other connected hives just to gear up, then log into said popular server to drop off at their camp, and go kill each other. My question is, does that really fit into the design of dayz? Is that not better for a mod, rather than the SA base game?

Last night I had a massive pack attack me. There were some odd things happening while inside structures and the wolves outside trying to attack me.. invisible walls I couldn't get past, etc.. Eventually I found a neat trick: Open the front door, let a wolf inside the house, close him inside with me, and axe him to death. One by one, I killed the entire super-pack with this method.

Shadowplay. There is nothing else to discuss if you are only talking about recording. The issue is Shadowplay currently causes a "darkness" in the recordings, without the use of various simple work around's. Search how to do that, and you will be very happy.

Fully, not burnt, using a stick over a campfire. Seemed like a bug? But I was wondering if it was perhaps a feature? Like small chance of illness? It put me in stage 2 illness.. I eventually gave up, and committed suicide just outside of my camp.

I got sick from eating cooked chicken.. mouth tasted weird.. and it certainly was cooked. Is this a thing?

I suppose you're simply looking for a place to interact with like minded people. In the end we are here because of one person's dream, that turned into many peoples lively-hood. A video game, that is arguably revolutionary in its concept and design. Whether or not you feel that the game is heading in the right direction, or that it is fun to play is irrelevant. YOU ARE HERE. First pack I ran into destroyed me.. it was my fault, paid zero attention. Second pack, I saw first.. took cover, tried to hide and crawl away. Somehow they saw me, attacked and after about 10 mins and 1 dead wolf, they ran away. Third pack, I heard first. Went prone, tried to hide. Nothing worked. Backed up against a guardrail, and used my sword to hold them off. 20 mins later, not one wolf seemed to be able to be killed and I passed out. Not once did I start bleeding.. It was rather traumatizing. :/

I could have swore there was a trading post type section, but I cant find it.. been a while since Ive stopped by :) Anyhow, I am in need of some tanning service. Leather..not skin, you weirdo. Ive been trying to find a damned barrel for so long it hurts, so Im hoping someone out there will have a barrel I can temporarily use, or knows of a location of an emtpy one? I just want to make a leather vest showing the world I am in fact a hunter, not a threat. Not that it will work, but we all have dreams.
