I just realized that there are multiple types of servers. I joined a stable hardcore, and was on the coast.. at first I was like WTF?! I mean I had logged out at Black Lake and the server was damn near empty when I did.. so how the hell did I die? So I back out.. and join another stable HC server. Ok, now I am my normal character spawning in at Black Lake where I left off with all my gear. So I realized, that having joined 2 different HC servers that something must be up. So after sometime, I backed out and went to my server history section. I find the server where I spawned on the coast.. it says version 115946 or somthing different than the other stable servers.. the number was slightly higher? Then I start to look at the servers and I see that there are others like this. They show on the server version as the same as the others.. but on the title of the server itself, it will say its 115946 or something similar. And I'm willing to bet the same is for regular servers. This was all on stable build only. This may explain why some people complain of being reset? Or in the least people should be aware of this. :)

But then it takes longer to finish loading them all in.. :) But yeah, you're right.. I

Do a Youtube search for "New Dayz standalone hack"... filter to this week or month. Now sift through the stupid fake, invalid ones. And proceed to get sick. Another wave of hackers is apparently on the rise. I know this from the last time we had this happen.. the reason I held off on getting SA for a bit. When hacks become public and free.. the shit hits the fan. But, now here is the solace. Eventually a massive ban wave, global.. will gloriously fuck them. And we shall all point and laugh at their pathetic whining posts.. I cannot wait to read the first one :)

^ this is exactly why I play this game.. shootouts ending in friendship. I used to play the mods a lot and on the forum I frequented, those of us that played a lot, against each other.. ended up good friends. We would have epic firefights.. and then forum post about it and all the people involved would be posting about their side of the fight. Epic stuff.. :)

I noticed that too.. See this was definitely different hive type stuff. I have a full geared character on each hive, of the what I thought were the only 4 hives. But after testing it, I could see that somehow people seem to be running slightly different builds.. or they are getting a different hive. Because this was most definitely hardcore stable. Negative. My regular character is alive and well at the NWAF. :) It was most definitely HC.. I joined it twice Caboose. Twice. ;)

See, up until now I had thought it was like this: stable regular stable hardcore experimental regular experimental HC So how many hives are there say just for stable? I stick to the same servers usually.. so I had never noticed this

Yes, on the honorable KOSer part. :) Just yesterday.. or maybe day before? I tracked a guy down into the Devils Castle tower. He was effectively pinned down. I could have just stayed quiet and shot him as he came out the door on the outside staircase.. but instead I waited, entered the tower and proceeded to tell him over sidechat voice that I intended to kill him with my M4. He had an SKS or Mosin.. I could not tell when I saw him. So I start to move in, now he has the advantage as I have to ascend the stairs. Then after a few tense minutes, he talks.. "please, please dont kill me man. I just got all geared up and Im still new. Please man.. I wont do anything to you." I felt so bad, I backed out and let him live. Had to watch my back the entire time as I left.. was not a good feeling. But it was better than just slaying the poor fellow. I went on and had good times after that :)

Im pretty sure that when you add that, to the "mysterious" scope zoom (i.e. instead of 4x its more like 1.8x) that you can conclude the devs did this on purpose.. maybe during testing, maybe for good.

Can you get some in game photos or video of this? Or let us know which servers you were on?

Yes, I played Arma 2 and most of the Dayz mods... except "broken point". Also, I agree with your presumption. Most people seem to have watched Frankies videos, rather than came from the mods, and into the SA.

LOL... ok. So you're saying that in the mods, you felt a Lee Enfield was the same as an M249? Now did you ever actually have and use an M249? Because that statement is rather laughable man... it really is. Its tantamount to saying, the crossbow is just as good as the G17. edit: Oops, I guess we already cleared that up.. :blush: Nevermind!
