Fear is the fundamental flaw with this game. People get immersed and forget to just have fun ;)

I have learned to only add a server to my "favorites" if I get lucky while on it.. I keep the hotstreak going and as soon as it goes cold, I look for my next golden goose ;)

I watched these guys in Balota, shortly after the filming of the above video, ...they must have fired off about 300+ M4 rounds shooting Zeds. They had no idea I was watching them from the ATC tower, and I was just laughing my ass off. They just kept coming at them over and over again. I lost them as they ran off in the distance shooting every 10 seconds or so.. LOL

Now that is a video that needs to be made.. Zombie Love.

I think it would be great to see in a mod down the road, a version that randomly creates events on the map. Things like: Heli crashes Large Ship washes ashore AI "Eradication Teams" that will show up on the map and hunt down Zombies and players alike (killing and looting them nets you top tier gear) Hordes of Zombies Fires Dam eruptions Rain + Flooding (this is actually very "doable" if it goes to modding) Small Survivor campsites (AI bots that will have a scripted story if you "talk" to them, and will either give you help or hurt/rob you) Supply Drops (meds/food in large quantities - enough for 10 players or so, resulting in a area to fight for control over)

The same can be said of your middle finger. Regardless of how unthreatening, or friendly you may seem while talking to them. The fear that lies within a bandits heart can cause him to instantly shoot without thought at the mere sight of your middle finger.

I flipped a guy off today who thought it would be good to hold me up.. I got shot in the face for it. :D I love being a fresh spawn! That's where all the real fun is, not caring and just running around like an idiot fighting Zeds and making people laugh.

So I have grown bored with my character on the stable regular servers (non-hardcore) and rather than going out in a blaze of glory so I can start over, Ive decided to give my gear away to some lucky new players. I will be running a Community Event today on the STABLE REGULAR SERVERS. Again, non-hadrcore for those who do not know. The event will be held today at approx. 1pm PST, this is in roughly 3 hours. Please sign-up for the event by stating, "I'm in!" below with your in game name listed, thank you! Your goal, should you choose to participate is to get to the NWAF, specifically the Southern area near the barracks and jail located at the SW corner of the North West Airfield complex. This is also known as the international airfield. Get to that location and await instructions. I will post here at approx. 1pm PST with exact loot locations and which server this will be on. You may log in and out on any server you wish prior to this event going live. I will post the server first, then loot locations here at around 1pm PST. Once that post goes live, you will have an undetermined amount of time (until server restarts) to acquire the loot before it disappears forever. There are only 2 rules: 1. Come as a fresh spawn or risk being shot to death by those who are helping me keep this from being a bloodbath, sniper-fest. No weapons in hand while at the airfield unless its from acquiring the loot being given up in this event. Melee is ok, no firearms or pistols please. Your best bet, come straight to the airfield as a fresh spawn and only loot for food/water along the way. 2. Prior to me posting the location of the loot, all players involved must be logged out/in near the Southern Barracks section of the NWAF. This is located here: http://www.izurvive.com/#c=34;-75;6 Anyone seen logging in, in the Middle or Northern section, or seen running around these parts prior to my posting loot locations risks being shot to death by said security team. This is meant to be a safe and fun experience for all involved, but once I post those loot locations the security team will relax and it becomes a every man for himself scenario. If you find the loot, you must protect yourself from others in the area or log out immediately. Your choice. :) Here is the gear you may acquire if you are lucky enough. Loot will be divided into a minimum of these 3 locations 1. 100% Pristine - Camo Mosin with Long Range Scope, Compensator, Bipod + PU scope and 100+ rounds of ammo. 2. 95% Pristine - M4 with MP magpul parts (handguard and buttstock) + other attachments + mags + ammo. 3. Hunter Backpack, assorted gear (FNX pistol w/attach., camo clothing, etc.) - all pristine. Most of what is being given away is rare loot, in pristine condition, and just what any new player would need/want to survive. If you're lucky enough, you may get all of the loot yourself, or you may die trying.. or just come up empty handed. Either way, at that point you will be at the NWAF and can begin to loot there if you can survive! ;) This is NOT a trap, everyone who follows the rules will not be harmed in any way. :D

Will do! Sounds good too, I like having even more players involved adding in gear. Will make it very worth it for those that come. I think Ill make a post tonight, and have it be sometime tomorrow evening or on Sunday. What works best for you?

10 minute timer for dead bodies means that loot of yours is long gone by the time anyone gets there.. I had to log out unfortunately and just saw your post.. I let myself get eaten by a zed in the forest just NE of the far northern Sandbag bunker at the North end of the NWAF :) So it looks like we both made the coast today ;)

Well, loot is down.. server restarted just prior to this event starting so it will all be there for the next 4 hours, until it restarts or someone finds it :) Saw that..:P

Do it anyhow.. I frequently connect to EU servers and I am in US :) I have no problem with pings of 500+.. its not good for combat, but thats about it

In less than 1 hour, about 45 mins from now I will post the exact server. About 15 mins later, I will post the exact loot locations :D

You should come, swap out for the better weapons if you get there first, that way even those that are late may get your weapons as a side prize! :D
