As for the Zombies.. I mean it happens, alpha and all. But next time do whats in this video below.. move the whole time and you will be fine. Don't bandage until you are free and clear, completely. As for looting your body, its supposed to be a 10 min timer before its cleaned up from the server. And Ive yet to hear anything official about looting your body, so I would assume it was just a bug.

Yep. The other part is the player you shot could have had a press vest on that protected his chest when you shot. Or books on him, or ballistic helmets in his pockets. Or just about any gear that took the damage allowing him to move, and get a shot on you. You would be surprised how quickly a player who has a lot of experience in this game can kill an adversary regardless of distance or movement. So surprised in fact that you may think his skill was simply hacking. If he was a hacker, you never would have snuck up on him. It would have been the other way around.

YES! ..because contrary to what the OP assumes this is a very good thing. We dont want it like in the mods where you had to have separate ammo and mags. That was BS. Just give working suppressors once they are coded properly and all will be well. I dont mind if it was like some of the mods where only the Zeds could not hear it, but other players hear it fine just nerfs the distance can be heard. Or full on suppressed, either way. :)

This is a game and all.. but would you in real life hand a loaded gun to someone you had no idea about? Or would you be more inclined to get to know them to some degree before arming them? I personally would choose the later in almost every situation. I do the same in game. Unless I could just give zero fucks, then I dont mind arming everyone around me to see what happens ;)

I got over the "burning ants" phase when I was 6. Some people just never got to play with fire I suppose, and have no idea how to handle it ;)

Is Dayz crashing for you, repeatedly after about 5 minutes of playing? If so this happened to me many times over the past week, maybe the new patch, maybe my transferring the game back to my SSD. I cant be sure. But it happened, over and over again. But then I realized the problem. I was clicking my Dayz "quick-launch" icon on my windows taskbar. Rather than selecting, "play dayz" within Steam. This for some reason caused Dayz to open 2 different applications. Now when I transferred my game back to my SSD I had this issue as well, but it was because I still had 2 version of Dayz, 1 on my SSD and 1 on my HDD. I deleted my HDD data, refreshed my quicklaunch icon, and all was well. Sort of. ;) As long as I click my quick launch, regardless, it will try to open 2 different Dayz games. Its not easy to see, and sometimes the game starts up before I can even see that it is trying to do this. But each time (almost) it crashes after about 5 mins tops. So my solution was to simply select to play Dayz within Steam. This only opens one version of Dayz, and all works flawlessly. I also have noticed that even when the game does not crash, if it is attempting to open 2 versions it will run very laggy and stuttery. So I thought I would let people know in case they are having the same issue. If when Dayz crashes you see a Steam box open that says application crashed, unable to open due to other instance or something like that. This is probably your issue. Good luck! And if anyone can elaborate on why this is even happening, that would be great :)

So looting is fine, but having trouble with looting is not? Can you define grinding so that there is no more confusion.. please. I dont even get what you want then, if looting is "grinding" but its not, unless it is.. wtf? So if there was no more "grinding" of loot.. or no more loot at all. People would do the same things they do now with said loot "grinding". Again, what the hell is really going on here? Why are we even having this conversation? Again, the confusion continues.. each time I try to respond to your quoting my comment, I struggle to even grasp the point being made. Loot is not a goal unless your a dragon? wut? :| I guess the only way I can respond is welcome to dayz? :blush:

Go to Elektro. Place all of your Gear on the ground in front of either Firestation.. now climb to the top and leap to your death! Ive done this before.. and highly recommend it

What? The point of this game is loot. The entire point. Its not survival, its not pvp, its loot. The original mod, that Dayz used to be made, was an Arma loot finding mission. I think it was literally called "Loot finding mission" or similar. There is a mod called Wasteland. You do not need to loot. There is another game called Arma 3. No zombies, no looting. Just PVP action. There are mods for Arma 3 that are just like Dayz with and without Zombies. Some even have the SA features added in. Go pick one of those and give it a try if looting is not your cup of tea. Because the only other option is for BIS to change this game and make it so there is no loot anywhere, no point to the game, and everyone starts with all the gear they want. Now try to explain to me what everyone is going to do in that scenario? Oh yeah, it will basically be a huge, slow paced shooter that lacks any real focus or purpose. No stats. Just running around, sitting on a hill and shooting each other. Id rather play BF or CS at that point. Since you know, this game is far from smooth and silky.

+1 *Its already impossible to map all of the dayz commands on a PS4 controller. So, thats a start ;)

The only way you can say that is if you were alone in the server. You realize that fact right? Usually the most simple and plausible solution is the answer. So, it was either a sniper or it was alpha. Now go make a bug report of where you were, what happened, and the fact it was more than once.

I could care less what platform it comes out on. I play it on the PC. If it comes out on PS4, and my mates get it.. Ill play with them on the PS4 from time to time, but Im sure at that point there will be some amazing mod of the SA and I will tell them to go build a PC like civilized people do ;) (<-- I kid, we all know smart people play tablet games)

Ive had it happen to me a couple of times. Both with mic chat and text.. its really screwed to sit there talking and typing in sidechat, not getting any response. The last time it happened it was like 3 people talking at once, so I doubt they were all admins. I think it was an official server too, but I cannot be certain. I usually stick to official servers.

They hired more staff and purchased an entire studio. So I guess that answers that question.

I personally enjoy beating them to death! :P The longer it takes the better, and the more that gather around me the happier I am! Here is a video of me having some fun in the heart of Elektro with some Zombies.. my friend kept talking to me, making me laugh so do not judge my superior skills with a bat on this instance alone ;) What do you do when attacked by Zombies?
