Yes, happens to me almost every time I eat something. The solution is simply take off whatever has the "empty" slots and put it back on again. It fixes the issue 100% of the time. ;)

Just played for hours with a friend on stable regular.. Zombies were not aggroing unless I was right in front of them. Like 5m or less in front, if that. They would not aggro from gunshots. No waves of zeds.. a lot more of them it seemed spawned all over. But they are just about blind and most certainly deaf now. I shot 4 with my M4 and my buddy shot off several magnum rounds, and not a single zed nearby us aggro'd. Just stared motionless at us. Is this just me and my friend on this one particular dayz west server, or is anyone else seeing this too?

Weird stuff. I had never seen it since the patch where they just dont see you or aggro on gunshots. But as soon as we split up my buddy had all sorts of issues with Zeds aggro. I will have to test later but I think it had to do with my buddy having a bad ping and desync issue while we were close to each other. If thats the case it would make sense why so many people have problems running together, and would also mean that any pvp would have some serious issues here and there with desync, etc..

The experimental patch was only a test.. not a genuine patch. They are currently working on the loot spawning issue, and hopefully all of these experimental tests (last week and yesterday) mean that its getting close ;)

The really odd thing is, all of that stopped after my friend and I split up.. wtf?

Suddenly the medics also have a band of armed escorts.. 1 server cycle later its quiet and all back to normal.

This post inspired me to give controllers a try. My report is this: Garbage once you get used to KBM of any capacity. I get it if you're used to the controller. But let me tell you, having converted myself, the time put in getting used to KBM is well worth it in the end. Controllers just cannot compare once you get over feeling clumsy, and finally when you get to the point that you can move and aim much better with a KBM than with the controller. Thats just my opinion.

I say no. An axe maybe.. and maybe an amphibia. But basically no. Start with undies, thats it, I say. BTW, does the name amphibia remind anyone else of those damn US commercials for this stuff? lol

The vanilla mods are not a barometer for this.. that was all script based and is much easier for others to mod in just about anything they want. For the SA things will be much different. Just wait. You will have everything from RP servers to mods like how Breaking Point was when it came out with 1k+ vehicles, every weapon known to man in each loot spot, and more bugs than a Puerto Rican Sewer system. Things will get fractured as each new mod drops, but then people will start to fall into place. Find their home, and all will be well. I never, ever, ever had an issue finding great servers/mods/communities. I dont know anyone that did, that kept looking. I know many that said, "aw, that shit sucks.. fuck this!" and gave up right there. I never would have found great places like Z.nu or BMRF.me if I had those same sentiments.

Thats great. Its fun to get your first kill, it really is. Just dont let your style of playing and others style of playing affect how you feel about what happens in game. Server hoppers, campers, exploiters of bugs, etc.. they all get to play their way. So do you. Dont feel like just because you can assume to some degree that some guy you just shot may have been a total douchebag, that he actually is. You may have just shot some guy who lost connection, could not remember his last server, and picked the one that you guys were in. He could have been one of the most helpful players ever, using all that loot to give to those in need, and you just ended his life that had been strong for over 200 hours straight. He may have never even thought of shooting you guys, even if you shot at him first. You'll never know, because you did not talk to him first. ;) See he was spawning in, you could have easily moved to where he could have done nothing and you could have "held him up".. maybe made a friend, or in the least had a story a bit better than I shot a guy who was not even technically playing the game yet.

Man when loot respawn hits the exp servers, the stable ones will be a ghost town. :P

I was a mod there for a long time up until it closed down. Their audience left to go play SA. That and the lack of private servers allowed initially w/SA, and private hives, meant that they had no more reason to stay up. So they closed with the premise that if they can return when modding or private hives/servers hits SA, they will do it. So fingers crossed.. :)

His hesitation says one of 2 things to me: Either he is setting someone up. Or he is embarrassed to say specifically what he wants publically. The 3rd option is he is FrankieonPCin1080p. ;)

One of the worst things you can do in Dayz in my opinion is shoot someone that is non-op while logging in.. When you are threatened or in fear, its a little different. But when its like you had it, where they are in your scope and there is no threat to you, its so cheap in my opinion to shoot someone. I mean they literally cannot do anything to fight back, you have no idea if they are server hopping or logging in for the first time today or what is going on with them. Now that I think of it, it has to be worst thing you can do in this game. Right before hacking that is. But we all knew that.

The mod, contrary to what people think, was not killed nor did it die when further modding hit. In fact it breathed life into it. Modding is going to open this game up beyond what anyone can imagine. It will bring new maps, new ideas, new content. And eventually, someone will get it just right. And then many will get it right. Options are never a bad thing. I cannot wait, as it will probably mean the return of my beloved site:

Are they actually 4 new servers though? Because up until this update today, they were all down.. Id love to know, but Hicks did say that there was no client side update today during their maintenance.
