Relax man.. he was trying to be helpful as the mods here do not take lightly to comments like that. It was nothing personal, Im sure.. just one person trying to help another.

User error. 300 second timer leaves assumptions of server hopping. Middle of field log out, axe to face.. standard reactions to server hopping. Happening every time you log out? ..or every time you server hop? Because I read a hole or two in your story. ;)

When there are only 2 players on the server...

LOL.. ;) It was a judgement call based partly on where he had been.. I could tell pretty quickly that he had been on a Cherno-Balota-PavlovaMilBase trek, and since that was opposite of where I was heading I knew I should be safe letting him pass. Of course I never even let him see me, no chance, so that there was little threat of him doubling back. I was there once.. for quite a while. But Ive found lately that I find everything I need really quickly, no need for gear really.. loot seems over abundant. So everytime I see someone my only care is interaction. And since this guy was more of an obstacle in my way then an attraction at the time, I figured the safest route for me would be to go around him, not let him see me, and move on my way. I guess this really comes down to my experience? and rarely feeling "threatened" at the sight of another player. So far, recently at least, I seem to spot them and they never see me unless I intend for them too. So feeling like an armed player needs to be "taken out" to save myself is not something Ive gone through lately. But I know what you mean -
Yeah, autorun does not really have a place for serious players in Dayz imo. It takes me 10 mins to run most places in game, so its not really necessary in my opinion. Best of luck! :)

Exactly, if I was not in the middle of something else that was more important to me, I would have done something. -
Good find! Still have never seen one yet myself. Today I ran to the NWAF.. in one sweep (on US West 4-057?) from the North end to the middle of the airfield, not including the firestation/atc or anything further south I found: LRS - worn RDS (x2, different versions) - Pristine both PU Scope - Pristine M4, then found next to each other in the same hanger - pristine MP handguard and buttstock + 3 coupled mags 1911 w/2 mags FNX w/1 mag Amphibia w/2mags (all mags found separate from pistols) ..passed up on an SKS and a Mosin. I just got so overwhelmed by the loot I found in less than about 30 minutes that I just logged out and went and did other things. LOL :P

Hmmm, nice. I always thought condition of parts did matter? I wonder is this true for all weapon attachments? (minus some scopes with obvious, visible damage issues)

If they add this soon, in about 3 weeks can we have a community event where everyone meets at Devils Castle and maybe Cypress Hill shows up to play? ;)

Oh, same here.. still. But doing the Zombie flail thing with his arms trying to kill my friend.

Thanks! :) ..They sort of did with the dev tracker and the whole informations page on updates. But since its all up to the devs, who are busy, to update it.. things fall through the cracks. This game would do really well with a community manager. I hope that someone sees this and thinks the same, maybe it will happen one day ;)

I want Namalsk (snow map) and Lingor, (I think its Lingor that is the jungle island?) ..anyhow I want that and possibly Origins, Epoch, and Podagorsk (Z.nu) But my most wanted is Dayzero BMRF.me hosted. :D

Nice shot! Yesterday I shot one at about 400m with my BUIS standing. Headshot. I felt good about it, and saved my buddy in the process ;)

I think we should be able to paint the hunter pack only. Either green, black or camo version. That would be very nice. But I do not think other packs should be paintable as it would create an issue with the balance each pack provides currently.

with the MP parts it becomes the most accurate weapon in the game when it comes to dispersion. ;) Correct on the bipod.. you wanna trade my BUIS for your acog? Ive been looking for one for a while. ;)

Well, it would not be a waste on their part. The admins and mods already spend countless hours cleaning this place up, and I would be willing to bet a good portion of that has to do with people wanting to know about patches and changes, etc.. Not everyone is at the same level when it comes to PC usage. Some need help. It would make things streamlined to have one post, that updates whenever the game does. Even if its just to say, this is a test nothing to see here. It would not take up anyones valuable time if they simply had an admin or mod do it. As it is now, devs already take the time to answer twitter. Why not use your own actual website for communication? It is sort of backwards how they are handling the communication with their community during an early release alpha test. Normally you would want to make it easier to provide feedback, not more difficult. Personally, Im fine either way though. I just think they could make things a little more accessible for users.

I mean, it may sound wrong to say it like this but maybe we need to do a "race race"? Have several people all spawn in as freshies, different races each person. Then they all sprint to see if there is any difference. As new spawns, everything should be the same except for connection/ping. So this would be the only real way to test this properly. Im being a little facetious with the title, "Race race" but it is spot on as to what needs to happen and I am not trying to offend anyone with my slight levity. Hope I didn't. ;)

OMG.. you got Dayz'd. ;)

I see his point and his folly. He needs to be willing to dig deeper for the information, but on his side the devs, with this being an early release alpha, could genuinely do well with having even a volunteer community manager, like one of their forum admins, who would have the sole task of correlating all of the data and posting it up in a nice easy to comprehend and read thread. It would not be that hard to do, the devs could let him know when a patch is going live and could send him the data to type it up and post it once it does. Then everyone could go read it, and not have to ask so many questions like they do wasting even more time than if it was just handled properly to begin with.
