Thank you for the beans, and I have to agree, its losing its appeal without new stuff, no cars, no choppers, nothing new to find... but its fun doing this ... I try to keep it interesting by running around naked...

So my friends are slowly scrounging up their money and buying this version of the standalone. So far only three have come together with an eventual 10-12 more on the way... My clan-mate Tom decided he was going to do some tricks and while I bailed sensing an impending crash, it seems I actually caused the crash... Poor Tom, while sad, it was pretty funny... Note to self, if you eject from a moving Littlebird, you kill it... and most likely the pilot... this doesnt happen with other vehicles does it?

Thanks, I felt bad, but laugh at the most inappropriate times... like when i see midgets, or crash my friends favorite littlebird

Mine would probably fall into your definition of boring with just things to do and the occational gunfight. Personally, Ive gotten away from FrankieonPC because he stages his encounters but I do enjoy Squirrelsnutz Sacriel42 and DevildogGamer

So my group has been going around to different servers and we have found one in particular that has NPCs all over the map, and trust me, it makes for interesting times.. Not only are you advancing on some great loot, avoiding hostile players and zombies everywhere, but these NPCs are crackshots... as my buddy Mitchell soon finds out. we play on the Dayz247 server im not sure of the IP but if you put that in your filter you should be able to locate it fairly quickly

Ive had requests from both sides to shorten it and to show even the boring parts... maybe i should do both with a highlight reel at the end of the week .. just a 5 min action set kind of thing. Thanks again for the suggestion.

We have a small group now, and we film our adventures.. for the most part its all about helping new players, hunting down bandits and ultimately having a good time... just found a server filled with NPCs so its pretty challenging.. you should come check it out Dayz247 server

this is just venting I guess... So I have been building my character as one does, and as the days wear on I notice that I have found a decent stash of stuff.. about 3 Urals worth of stuff... So I start using everything that I have to help out anyone that needs it.... it got raided as they often do and I started rebuilding... no problem. Dont get attached to your stuff right? This time around there was an admin (didnt know they were an admin at the time) asking about my urals and I said I had started rebuilding and I would help out if I could... So, once again, 4 urals packed up between two bases, and it would have been some pretty helpful stuff for people...I come back from dinner 45 min later and the place I logged out from and the main base had been obliterated... so in 45 min a server with no more than 6 people found 3 hueys, destroyed 2 bases crashed them in my base and took my stuff? really? I told my friend well, thats just the way it goes sometimes... and he brought up a good point... who crashes 2 hueys, for 2 Urals and disables a huey at our base for half empty trucks? http://i.imgur.com/nfPTlIu.jpg as we are talking amongst ourselves the admin pops on and says well, "thats what happens.. buddy", people get raided you shouldn't be building bases.. and raids just happen, I was fine with that, until I realized this admin was the guy asking about the urals... Im saying this because I thought the WHOLE point was to survive and build up, and the occasional raid is going to happen, but not within minutes of logging off.. I would give a rats ass if it was a legit raid... I get it... It happens... , but an admin raid almost as frustrating as being hacker insta-killed haha... So, at this point Im looking for a server that the admin is on the up and up... If they are all like this, then I will just hold off and hope the stand alone isnt like this,

These servers sound great, my group and I will look forward to checking each of them out to see if it fits with our youtube format... We have accepted the fact that eventually we will be found and robbed, but an Admin that harrasses their players is just committing server suicide...

fortunately they arent all bad, but seeing as how I video all of our adventures, I am surprised he would do that, pretty much slitting his own servers throat, unless, that is, someone enjoys being harrassed by admin..

haha, well, thats just it, there is a group of about six of us, so we have four urals between the lot of us and we help newer newbies out... My point is.. is that im not mad that I got raided.. again.. I was just pretty upset that it was a blatant abuse of admin power.. let the ants build their sand hills... let the game play out..raids happen.. and I will say it again.. dont get used to your stuff.. we give most of it away anyway.. I was just venting and will most likely find my way to the Balotabuddies server...

So I have a core group of guys I game and film with... The addition of new people is usually tedious and really awkward because you never know if they are just playing you, or if they are genuinely good people.. fortunately I have had some good luck with making those choices and adding to my core group, but I have heard some really disturbing stories where people have been befriended and after a whole week... get screwed over... now thats devious... Thats pretty dark man.. Its like The Punisher in Dayz life... ive had a few instances like that.. camp raided backstabbed, but I havent let that change me yet... Not judging, thats basically your time they took so I get it.. but wow.. from helper to slayer of everything living and happy... pretty dark.. haha thanks for the story

So you are mostly a loaner? and tend to stay away from people unless you have too? truthfully a smart move..

haha, its all part of the game, Ive chosen to take the hero story line.. but I find that I trust less than I thought I would as a hero...there arent that many of us out there..most of the time its ghillie suits and new players so you really dont know what you are getting into... it isnt that I like bandits, but I realize its a part of this games world, So what about you? where you ever bandited? or went out of your way to help someone? whats your story?

I loved it!! haha... I was totally misled by the in quotes... "friend" and thought it was you that was about to get the axe... great story... So... do you run with people or are you a total loaner bandit? If you run with others.. do you trust them?
