Hey guys, Finally got my hands on an Australian server for all the AU/NZ players out there who are looking for a home! Feel free to come over and have a look! I'm running all the updated ban lists as well as some extra script files to catch some extra hackers. An admin is on pretty much on all day/evening AEST. If you run into any problems don't hesitate to post here or email [email protected]. P.S: The time is still GMT+0, but if everyone would prefer it I'll change it over to AEST (GMT+10). Also, for anyone looking to host their own Australian server, or any server for that matter, I recommend Vilayer Ltd

So sick of hearing this.. No, nobody is forcing us to host. We WANT to host a server to provide a quality place for people to have fun with the mod, which we can't do because of rampant hacking.

Do NOT go to THAT Mountain. Things happen to people there... Unnatural things. Evil things... I thought I'd plan an expedition up there one night with a few friends (Five of us in total) for no other reason than we hadn’t been there before. In hindsight going at night wasn't the best idea. Reached the base of the mountain a few minutes after midnight, but the weird stuff had started before the whole mounting had even come into view. We were passing through Kozlovka, when two of our group said that the feint outline of the Antenna in the distance looked like it had a green tinge to it. Not noticing this myself I palmed it off as a graphical problem or the moonlight merely playing tricks on their monitors. As I said we, reached the eastern base of the mountain a few minutes past midnight and began our ascent. For a while everything went smoothly, until we saw what looked light a flashlight being shone around at the top of the mountain, near the various buildings. As we were not the only ones on the server this was nothing out of the ordinary, It got our hearts racing a little but was what we had planned for. We immediately went prone and began a slow crawl, splitting into two groups to try and flank the survivor/survivor’s at the complex. It took us about 5 mins until we were all in position; me and my friend next to the main entrance road and the other group of three near the larger building. Neither group had seen the flashlight again since we had split up, so we made sure to watch carefully for any movement within the complex and on the antenna. By now zombies has spawn, and began their slow shamble around the complex and down the mountain side. The second group took out 3 zombies with their silenced pistols and then acknowledged that they too were in position. As me and my friend slowly began crouching into the complex we suddenly noticed the appearance of a green glow on the platform of the antenna. The other group noticed it as well. Thinking that someone was setting up a nice little sniper nest we decided that one of us would climb up the ladder while the rest provided a distraction on the ground. One of our group volunteered and as he began his climb the rest of us began to spread out around the complex to double check there was no one else around. While checking the base of antenna I heard a shout from the second group, and saw that all three of their names had shown up saying they had been killed. Confusion took over but I managed to hear over the shouts of disbelief over TeamSpeak that they had been killed, almost instantly, by the three zombies that they had supposed killed moments before. I doubled times it to their last known position only to find no zombies...and no bodies. As I was doing this my friend stated that he was just about at the platform on the antenna, but that the green glow had disappeared. A second later he yelled that he had been pushed from the platform. His death toll came up on the server… Now panicking myself that we had someone walked into some bandit trap, or was being played with by some hackers I decided to make a run for it back the way I had come. On the way out I passed a single body. Not my friends. Not any of the other groups. Not a zombie. Another survivor. Not knowing or wanting to know where it had come from or the fates of the rest of my group I ran straight passed it. And I shit you not, the head of the dead body turned, FREAKING TURNED and followed the direction that I ran passed it. Since then I do not, do not, go anywhere near that mountain...

Since becoming a server host myself, and experiencing firsthand the problems/crap/hackers/grief you have to put up with, I just wanted to say a big: THANKYOU! For providing the quality servers I played on before I had my own :)

Hackers should be guilty until proven innocent, I.e Allow us to Ban suspected hackers, and If THEY can provide proof, unban them. Will inocent players be banned from servers for killing admins etc? Yes, but only on those servers that already have Admins breaking the rules. If I got banned from a server for killing an Admin, at least I'd never have to worry about joining that crappy server again... Find a server that you can trust. Make your home there. As for people who say that 'No ones forcing to host, you dont have to host, your only here to help test, Blah blah blah': No, no ones forcing us to host a server. We WANT to host a server. We WANT to help this Mod flourish. And that's why we are suggesting/supporting these changes. Becuase we believe that these changes will help the Mod grow into something better.

Hey guys, one of my admins (Oldmate), had been reseting and stopping the server all yesterday. Had a few complaints in the imbox when I woke up this morning. Lets just say he's not an admin any more... Sorry for the interuption!

From my experience, 200-300 meters away and you will spawn them, If you see them on the other side of town, probably another player. Also a lot (I think) of the time they will start walking in the direction of whoever spawned them.

Found two DMR's in the same wreck last night. We thank and praise you HeliGods.

I keep reading threads about Zombie Agro from 100 meters away, yet in all my days of prone crawling (including with the new patches) I've yet to agro a single zombie? If you want to go into/move around a town, you shouldn't be crouched, you should be prone. Crawling is basically the same speed as crouch-walking, but you dont agro. If you run/stand, your gunna have a bad time.
