wouldn't knowing how trustworthy someone is ruin the tension. you see a guy oh he's got an icon on his head i'll go see what he's doing, rather than the whole track and watch see what they do then act accordingly.would be a good idea if it was implemented where the server host could turn it on or off

go outside and dual wield 2 sawn off shotguns, and let us know if your wrists break, this is stupid why does every game have to have this kind of garbage. this game is doomed and not by the developers by us as a community. hell lets add nukes and jet aircraft and hell we should be able to parachute out of a jet and shoot a guy from 1000m with 2 pistols and then do 3 backflips and land on our feet. i think i'm gonna puke

sorry you fell that way you can't judge this game by youtube videos, though it seems most people who record footage are usually D-bags. yes there is griefing, yes there are trolls, yes there are sickos, but there are also some cool ass randoms you can run into. its all about how you play and what you want to do. some folks just choose to do the bandit thing,and others do choose to do positive things. i think some of the griefing etc comes from boredom as they say or experimentation to see what effect different things have on the character. i've also played a lot of GTA5 and its nothing like that at all. make your own opinion about the game if it seems like your cup of tea then add some some sugar and drink that shit. hope to see you in game and if you need help getting started hit me up i'd me more than happy to join up and show you the ropes.

i tend to join these servers knowing there are bandits and have encountered them numerous times. i like the no KOS,PVE servers cause i know where to find the scum bags of the game. i personally don't have an issue but as stated above people join them just to ruin other folks good time. but don't worry there are patrols on these servers though we are only so large and we hunt these kinds of people all day everyday.all night every night. and these care bears are armed to the teeth. so if you see us ask for help CQF is always glad to be of assistance.and if you know of any intel on the scumbags of the server we are on let us know we'll do our best to give some relief and take some of the flak for you. or if you are a friendly and are loking for like minded individuals hit us up on the recruitment page. goodluck with your endeavors even if your a grimy bandit.

he's not a hero he shot you. and you were kinda sketchy sitting in the middle of the coast road, i would've just left you there after i giving you food and medical. I do like how you made the video like on of those 1930's silent films. keep making vids you only get better with practice

the vests are personal preference(comes down to looks and storage capacity)for now at least the stab vest will not stop a 5.56 neither will the press not yet any way. mine weren't pristine either though. i don't think a lot of the epuipment is functioning at full capacity, though the ballistic helmet and the motocycle helmet do though i'll test it and let you know.

yeah i was surprised as well by the playability of it. i also have put more time in than what i thought just looked 145 hours damn they flew by.

I was on an experimental server last night with a friend. of course when you join these servers you start with a new spawn everytime. so we spawned in south berezino factory(solninchky) we proceded of course to try and get geared. Everywhere we looked nothing,absolutly no loot no food just junk items. we ran the entire coast checked berenzino,the shipwreck hell even guba nothing. we were starving to death, the only weapons we could find were two pipe wrenches. so we headed inland to some of the center towns and bam a box of cereal which we had to split. anyway the struggle was amazing the desperation, the tension not knowing if we were gonna run into someone armed or if this was the only food we were gonna find. we looted NWAF and the rest of the military, they were completely looted just a helmet and a backpack. so if you want a really difficult game where people can't combat log or server hop(because when you quit or die your character resets) try one of these servers its a blast. you still have your other character that on the public hive servers so you can kind of as the server says experiment. i hope the game ends up with this kind of loot of course i don't think the server had been reset in a few days either. so hope some of you give it a try if you like rouge like games. try it hopefully some of you have as much fun as i did and get a taste of as i said above no server hoppers and no combat logging. if you give it a shot let me know. good luck and also if i got KOS'd on this type of server i would completely understand it wouldn't even make me rage or mad because it would make sense.

if you want an experience like you described above try an experimental server they usually only respawn once a day if not longer. was on one yesterday and it was barren of food loot weapons etc,had to really scavange to survive thought i was actually going to starve to death which i havn't died from yet.no server hoppers no combat logging but the only catch is you start as a fresh spawn everytime you join and if you quit or obviously die its reset.(you public server character is seperate though so don't worry about losing your fully geared guy) and for those that have dsync issues there is none. hope you guys give it a try if you like your dayz as hard as possible. goodluck

as long as they do patches to fix bugs i could care less about weapons. whats the use in having a gun when you dsync out every ten seconds. th eone item i want though above all else is a tent thats it.not to horde stuff but when running with a group it would be nice to have gear for my comrades.

i noticed it does that it shows on recruit servers tested on a vetern server and no location icon.

only if you could absolutely not communicate with anyone while in this spectator mode, as a post said above you get a guy on teamspeak with this option and the group litterally will have a UAV/MAV. don't know how keeping teamspeak out would work or if its even possible. but a good idea non-the-less. keep'em comin

what sucks about it. thats pretty vague. could you give an example. dsync,content,ladders,etc cause just saying something sucks doesn't really say much.

you hit it right on the head, i keep having people at work wanting me to play other games with them and stuff i keep telling them sorry i'm addicted to dayz right now, hell i was playing the elder scrolls online beta(which is a game i've been waiting on since it was announced) and i found myself wanting to play dayz wondering how my friends were doing if they were alive or dead or needed my help. they say this game has no features but as i said above. iwas on a game with a lot of content. and found myself wanting to get back to chenarus..

of course we know there aren't many zeds right now. but they'll be added in large numbers soon enough i hope i would like to see the development team add a countdown timer to the forums when they get to a time of adding them in. i can imagine hordes of zeds heading to chenarus baited by the gunshots and the smell of survivors. so the timer counting down lets people know that they don't have much time and they'll have that in the back of there mind when they are in game. things like maybe i should scout and find a place that might be safe for camp or i better start trying to find cats to group with i better find smaller towns that have good loot that i think might be quieter than cherno/elecktro when the zeds come and if they show up in the numbers that the developers want everyone is in big trouble. cause thos mosin shots you guys ring out every ten seconds is gonna get you eatin by the hordes. just an idea, don't care if you like it or hate it.

well you'll still know before then either by word of mouth or the forums. i was thinking from an RP point of view that there might be aircraft or some military force unknown to us that has spotted them coming in mass numbers and they've let us know the estimated time of arrival, sort of like the clock they had in the 80's for nuclear war.

one of the guys i play with has horrible dsync issues.we tested the theory that its battleeye so we actually found a server without it, he had no dsync ran smooth a silk at least till we were killed by a hacker so we left. Then we decided to try the experimental servers no dsync again and except for your chacter resetting every time you join he had no issues. so then we went back to a battleeye public server. horrible dsync and that was with just me and him on a server, i'm going to find one with 0 people and have him join it and see what happens. but so far we isolated it down to battleeye.
