yay give walking armories more spaces. this game is getting ridiculous they need to add stamina/dexterity affected by weight immediately.

so essientially a PVP fuck fest i'll pass theres already a bunch of these types of games BF.COD.dayz. and what kind of environment dangers radiation,cold,heat yeah right one town would be the hub and no-one except a few would go there because they can get guns anywhere I'm sure sounds boring and lame. and as for finding friendlies to help and join with that will never happen just as in this game only d-bag clans and folks who know each other in real life that's it. everyone would just be shooting anything that moves just as in dayz.

hopefully one day we can poison the arrows with feces or the poison berries shoot a guy and watch him run and slowly die. I think the crossbow should cause a lot of bleeding and I mean a lot. that's what they are made for as I've read make the animal bleed out before it runs to far away and leaves a nice blood trail to follow and since in dayz humans are less than human and more animal then i'll shoot them based on how they act like dogs who are rabid and need to be put down. by the way I love the crossbow.

less content bullshit I can't hunt I can't build a fire and I can't build structures or bases or drive a car or repair a car or use stealth theres no diseases so no boiling water etc,In the mod zeds actually DO NOT walk through walls and take headshots to kill and its not a total deathmatch clusterfuck full of kids hmmmmm SA has clothing and clothing and a few guns ooo it has a few more towns which are empty of people the maps bigger which no one even explores theres no hunting no cars barely any crafting no building structures and the FPS is atrocious at best. yes I agree one day SA will surpass the mod but as of now SA is laughable its like the old gi-joe action figures you dress up your toy then go kill other toys that's all there is to do if that's all I wanted was to kill folks and customize my toy then I would just play battlefield. the mod is actually FUN, SA is just a pain in the ass and its not because of difficulty like dark souls etc but because in the state its in now it nothing but a sand box with one toy and its not the shovel or the dumptruck its the cat feces that's been buried there. oh and your not stupid but I still had to flame you and tell what I like. -
I agree it does suck don't know if you were playing when SA first released but everytime you would get in an engagement the person on the wrong end of the shit stick would always just log off. this and other things are what bore a lot of the KOS mentality you see today. we have to have something I personally like the mods log out timer in epoch you wait ten seconds can't have zeds around and can't be near other players or in combat and if you combat log it shows on everyones screen that your a bitch.

I've seen houses that havn't been lived in for a year or so fall in to decay pretty quickly with no one living in them doing maintenance. theres also an old concrete factory near my home we used to play in as kids it was decrepit and spooky had metal stairs missing very dangerous surprised no kids were killed when we were younger. I'd like to see more decay myself but I think things like that will be done last like a final polish. just like the audio it'll be the shit but unfortunately it'll be one of the last things I think as well.

havn't seen or heard anything about an update I know at PAX east he stated it would be the end of april and that's past so its up in the air. no devblogs or any info at all. I think they quit telling us when it will happen because the last time they missed a deadline everyone went berserk so now they release an update then patch notes etc.

i honestly think zeds being fixed and the simple turning on of the diseases would make most folks butt hurt.but we have to wait and wait some more. like the tortoise and the hare this game.

sorry OP your idea is actually really good they should just put game modes like that in. but they won't and I'm afraid even with the addition of features it'll still be deathmatch. what they need to do as well is cut loot in half or even have a 1/3 of the amount of loot. getting geared is too easy and its too easy to find a gun hell even with fists its to easy to knock folks out. but its alpha as you will hear I'm sure enough times to make you vomit. again good ideas but we'll never be rid of the COD kiddies/FPS shooter d-bags.

Inventory needs to have way more slots. Items need to have both weight and volume values. (Long post)

These numbers are just examples and naturally can be tweaked easily. They're based close to the real life values but some items like guns need to be balanced because their shape isn't even and you can't put those kind of items every way you want to in backpack. Layers and pockets should have many slots so we can fit enough multiple slot stuff in them. Capacity means how much the item can take items Volume means how much it takes capacity. Also you can't pack for example jeans in a backpack unless you've folded them. You can only fold when jeans don't have any items in them. Logically same applies for carrying a backpack in a backpack. So clothes that can carry something act as containers when not folded but when folded they're just items. Slots are just there so you can easily find bigger slot items from inventory but big items don't take too much of a space either so you can fit much stuff in. Easier to recognize some items when they're bigger. Some of you might think if different backpacks for example could take only certain amount of weight in them. I think that's not needed because their capacity pretty much takes care of that and if/when stamina system is added you won't really care about that anymore... I added them there to see some reference. Arma 3 balances between weight and volume with how much character can take stuff in a backpack but I think that in DayZ that isn't enough. With this kind of system I think we could see some traders around in Chernarus who have all kinds of small stuff with them and they're ready to exchange them. Adds huge amount of potential role play because you can't be a mechanic, gun guy, light weight boxer and marathonist at the same time. Like I said in the beginning this would introduce us even "inventory simulation" where you really want to think what item you put where. Easier to find stuff from jeans because it can only take small amount of small stuff than from a backpack that can have huge amount of different stuff. One handy addition to ease up crafting and inventory would be crafting table, workbench or some kind of a similar thing. Some kind of an simple UI where you can drag items and combine them there because even currently sometimes items are far away from each other and if the inventory will be expanded at some point "crafting table" is what we need. Too bad that I'm not a good artist that could draw some concepts but I think/hope you get the idea. The UI would need some work also and the inventory needs to be wider. TL;DR: Current inventory system is too limited for game like DayZ. We need more slots and to limit players other way. good idea. I personally think the stamina/weight issue would change the name of the game so to speak. -

umm if walking dead was like SA then rick would got KOS'd in the first episode when he shot his gun. there would've never been a group because they would've kos'd each other hell shane alone would've killed most or merle lord knows he'd a kos'd the dude he argued with all the time. the governor would be king because he's king KOS with his white flag BS. so yeah comparing a show to this video game I have trouble doing now and as for PVP meh thaqts what I say dayz has shitty PVP it comes down to who sees who first plain and simple big deal old news.if PVP is all that drives SA then we are all screwed IMHO should be more to this game then that PVP should be more of a side dish not the goddamn entrée. -

yeah they need to go to headshot only on the new zeds or at least once they stop walking through walls there excuse is they aren't zombies they are infected and to that I say well they still need headshots only for the simple faxt if they are pumped to the gills with adrenaline and full of rage and they are mindless so pain is not an issue much like a fuck crazed on PCP or meth they can take bullets as well as punishment. so that covers realism now make the game harder. because as of now hardest thing in SA is deciding what colors to wear like Barbie for men.except where ken is murdered everyday -

indeed sir he is right anything that's not high powered and in the right spot will not fuck with a heli. atleast in the mod. i think though in SA its gonna be a bitch to make one let alone a vehicle atleast i hope(I'm thinking cherry picker). so i think they would be used more for recon and since they are kinda built buy us weapons will be kinda crappy.

yeah I feel ya I'm taking a break for a year or so not going to go back to SA until more things are implemented leave the TDM to everyone else. I went back to the mod and I am actually having fun and my rage meter has went to zero.

I feel bad for you aussies they ban any game they can for BS reasons IMHO. maybe the gamers should join forces and petition or do some political activists shit to get the laws overturned. yet I don't see why the game should have features pulled because countries would ban it from a designer point of view I wouldn't change anything to please another person or another country but thats just me. as for dean and friends it seems they are feeling the same why edit the game just to make it pass inspection of course some folks will get screwed but you can't let laws and bullshit get in the way of creativity and content. its up to you aussies to stand up for what you want if you want violent video games and dayz then you need to tell your government and your politicians that you do. as in America I'm sure its the same in AUS that the citezens are the boss of the government officials some forget that I know the politicians have what we say goes not what there lobbyists or they think they are our employees and they should do what we say.goodluck OP and I hope you guys keep the game over there I've played a lot with aussies and you guys are some of the best cats to play the game with.

yep that's exactly the game I was hoping for but I got this and unfortunately its the only one out right now so I have to put up with it or play something else.i blame most of these issues you speak of on the zeds goddamn they are atrocious and it'll probably be another year before they are implemented correctly. I wish they would just stop everything and do nothing but fix those buggers they are the most important aspect of the game IMHO and with out them we have a deathmatch game with permadeath.
