me and my friend tactic is he's got the mosin i got the pump shotgun we scout from buildings i watch entrances and he scopes for trouble if i get downed he has a 357 seems to work most folks don't get through doorways when i'm watching it with the pump. now outdoors sks or AK would be better cover i'm sure but indoors 12 gauge is the way to go.

first off good story and i hope to read more. second thats why i love this game the emotions it can bring up even if your usually a cold as ice asshole in RL which i most certainly am. but in game i'm usually nice and friendly/non hostile i tried being a bandit/scumbag murderer and i would hold folks up then when it came time to be mean me and my friend would just fix there clothes give them food water then tell them to have a nice day and run off, i shot a guy a NWAF once broke his leg we run up to him to finish him off and he says he's lost and its his first day playing talked about getting kos'd and everyones a bandit and such. i believed he was telling the truth because he knew none of the controls at all and somehow ended up at NWAF lol so i bandaged him and fixed his leg gave him directions and food water and laid a key to the cuffs in front told him to count to 100 then he was free. i watched from the tree line to make sure he could get away and followed him a ways to make sure he was ok. thats why i love dayz by the way if you need ammo for your rifle i have found a lot of it the mil base near myshinko has lots of ammo and mil clothing spawns and no-one usually goes there. no rifles or weapons really spawn seen a makarov the other day but that pistol does more damage if you throw it at something than shooting it probably.

i knew i'd read the words COD:AW in here eventually if you can design a gun with no recoil or weight and a human that doesn't need to breath you got yourself an unstoppable army until then enjoy weapon sway and recoil on large caliber weapons.

if the engines terrible and the game as you say is terrible why do you play? i'm not bieng a smart ass or a troll i honestly want to know because i always read posts of the engine is crap i lost 30 dollars on this blah blah blah and i want to know why do you play if its so bad in your case.

i feel the same as you but i just think let them enjoy it now while its there because eventually it has to stop and if i know it the devs new it before me and i honestly think they will implement something to make server hopping not able to be done or at least inefficient or aggravating to a large degree. i leave it up to devs if its still possible in the end honestly i will still play and if thats some-ones perferred way of gearing so be it itsn not my call but it is cheating yourself out of that moment when you find something you've looked days or weeks for and you almost jump out of your seat and then paranoia kicks in and your fear to die because you don't want to lose that said item.

man the way loot is spawning right now you can walk into most buildings or mil areas and find a gun now if your looking for a certain weapon it might get a little harder ammo for said guns is easy to obtain i have found alot of 5.56 ammo in tents which i throw in ponds and mosin/shotgun ammo in very abundant too and i actually found a lot of 5.45 ammo as well which i don't use so it ended up in said pond as well.

i havn't seen areas that covered in loot though i usually play on persistence servers it is worrying having everything pristine sucks too and the abundance of loot is crappy i like that every house building and shed spawns loot but the amount and the quality is troublesome to me as well the game is easy and it would be easier if it wasn't for the heat which is the saving grace right now in my opinion.hopefully it gets fixed soon because the favorite part of the game to me is looting and i hit one town or mil base and have everything pristine too makes my end game hit real quick though i have been exploring more now instead of looking for pants or a gun. i say enjoy it while it lasts because you know its not going to last forever.

hmmm not sure never ran into that on epoch usually if i build a workbench it builds a workbench are u sure you built the correct thing i accidentally built a ladder and thought i was building a wooden crate so maybe a misclick if not hit up your admin or ask on the epoch forums sir.

you remember when the game was first released ghosting was BAD they could log in seconds and log out instantly folks would engage you then log out then reappear behind you it was awful.

and as for sending folks money for killing people in game BAD IDEA in my opinion. how did this game create such an TDM mentality i don't understand well theres hope after the last update it seems the game will be as hard as zomboid if not harder in time. i try not to hate on folks playstyles but i still don't get the TDM mentality

i always thought that if a server had a good community and the same players on it all the time those things would happen without needing stats. it would be done through word of mouth. i played on a mod server for like 6 months and it had a lot of regulars and it was cool you new who was friendly and you knew who wasn't usually from speaking to other survivors and this was done through direct chat not side it was disabled. it was also cool hearing horror stories about certain folks or stories of heroism and folks being saved. stats i don't want to see kill stats to me thats like saying who has the bigger dick and everyone wants to be the stud. stats i would like to see is distance traveled or days survived as well as see my friends survival stats i could see a stat to of how many bullets fired or what my favorite weapon is and most used(fire axe). but if kill stats were added i wouldn't get pissed or upset i'd just go with it.

1/30th sounds like TDM is what you want and i'm pretty sure they released a new game that fits that exact mold on nov 3 and you can join servers with your friends on the same team you won't have to even find them.

you'll learn soon that when you look for something especially one particular item you will never find it but as soon as you quit looking or say fuck it you'll run right into one. at least thats how the game works for me i look for nothing i find all kinds of stuff.

If you had to cut eye holes in it so you could see i would then be in favor of it. but as it was it didn't make sense. another reason i like them is they tell me who to shoot. anyone wearing one i tried to kill as with payday masks some may not do this but i calls them as i sees them as folks that wear such items usually were not nice people.

i understand show wear but do certain shoes wear down less like combat boots or running shoes and as for comfort what effect does it have on your toon do wellies make you run slower or cause you to get fatigued quicker than say pristine military/combat boots. i know it just updated but i tend to not play experimental or look into whats new till its on stable so i get more surprises so if anyone knows or has a theory it would be much appreciated thx.
