Thank you for being friendly! :) One of the biggest thrills of the game is the "meet up", though. You never know whether someone is friendly until you embrace that encounter. I think there's another reason to be friendly, one that permeates all of Texas; we are getting handcuffs and jail cells. We have the ability to knock you unconscious, break your legs and write notes about what you have done and leave them there for people to read. You will have to do some serious server hopping to escape your past. That is our future. That is your future, Mr. bandit.

So you would be ok with guns being rare as hens teeth and limited to Mosins? I'm all for that...

I think implementation would just be based off your actions, no much different than humanity was applied in the mod. If you repair something it takes a tenth less second to do it next time. That kind of subtlety builds the character's abilities, nothing else. I believe this was in practice and people have characters that could reload guns or apply medical aid one to two second faster would lend value to their character's life...

Well, yes it IS a role playing game. Right now characters just accumulate stuff (VERY American, btw) and people bitch about losing their stuff. Make their life worth more than their stuff.

I don't believe people don't play at night because of gamma exploiters. It's because it's night time. Sure, you can risk running around to find loot if you like, but when your senses are as deprived to such a degree it's just natural to be reluctant to move about in a hostile place.

How about this; You log into a server and the longer you stay in that server the shorter the exit time becomes. How about something along those lines? -
I would like to just build skill sets, that's all. Apply better first aid, repair vehicles, that sort of thing. Make it more of a reason to stay alive longer!

The timer idea is no deterrent to server hoppers. If you know waiting in one spot for 2 minutes will yield a gun, will players wait? Yes, yes they will. Server hoppers will have NOissue waiting 30 seconds. I hate the timer because I basically have to pay a penalty for server-hoppers and it's merely inconveniences the behavior. It's a sloppy solution, really...

I'm pretty sure he's talking about server-hoppers and farmers. I'm trying to play on just one server to remember other players, experiment with storage, etc. -
So the Zees are quite different in SA! I know they will change and multiply as the Alpha moves along and any tactics we discuss might be irrelevant down the road, but still; How do you go about safely dispatching zombies?

Actually satiation isn't felt until about ten minutes after you've eaten enough. We're lucky to even have that mechanism, really. Other animals eat until there's no food left, so they literally just gorge themselves...

The only valid point at all Sinful really has is the old DayZ answer and something that will be worked out as the game progresses and that is the reward and demerits for specific behaviors. I'm hoping as game development progresses one thing that will come up is a lot more unique clothing, etc and the ability to make your player appear unique. People loves themselves some options to make their player their own, like the masks for example, as they seem to have taken off. Perhaps there needs to be a pirate approach to the whole affair. Let's call it the 'BlackBeard' Effect. Sure, you want to be a bandit, but you want the street rep. People should know who just shived them, right?

Because when you run with someone else and you come against a KOS bandit, chances are they are going to be immediately dropped. Strength in numbers means you have to be friendly to someone. Good luck with running solo as a bandit...

Dekkymane, what a totally egregious and horrible idea! If you don't like a sever, well don't play on that server! Yes, let's take away all options for the creative people in this community, any options to make their own playground, any option to make their own maps, simply because you don't like it! If you like vanilla, play that. You will have hundreds of servers to do so. Simply wiping out other players options is kinda self-centered on your part... -

It's not just disgusting it's unrealistic. Eating is a dynamic in few if any games, but little kids don't make this much noise eating. It definitely shouldn't be even half the volume it sits at... -
Same experience. Got into a standoff with another bandit, I got the best of him. I got banned for hacking, tried to aproach someone on their teamspeak in the mature way, poked an admin asking for a conference and was perma banned from the teamspeak never having spoken to anyone. Short lesson, don't play there. If you get a similar experience, share it. These guys are jerks...

Yeah, loving the mod update except for one thing. The zombies are turned up to eleven but still dodge like mad, can walk on water to hit you when swimming and can see you squat in a bush from 200 meters away. Any chance they will be sorted?
