I found teaming up was an amazing experience, you learn alot too, and the interactiveness is quality. I became the team medic and still am and ventured to places I had never been too before. My humanity went up and the longer you survive the more it means and the more careful you are. I did solo for 2 weeks and kind of thought where am I going with this where teaming up gave us purpose of a group and team work.

I call it karma, I been doing the good guy thing for ages with no result and then out the blue without looking my dayz experience tskes a turn for the better and loving it I am.

So I am getting better, week 2 of playing dayz and got my basics in place, even found a motorbike and van to drive about a bit. I seem to only last a couple of hours though and my character skin doesn't change either, I am one of the good guys out there and get killed alot for trusting others. I tend to get my hatchet, get some good and try and find a gun early doors head towards cherno as that's where its all happening, raid a supermarket get some good gear, get shot and do it all again....am I doing anything wrong or should I be doing other stuff?

Been playing dayz for about a week now and have a few questions. 1. I killed about 200 zombies but my humanity remains the same, does this only change by killing other players being heros or bandits? 2. If I play on different servers does my stats go with me or each server holds your stats for its own server? 3. I havnt killed any other players. ...yet, looking for bandits but normally end up getting killed by baseball cap guys ....thought they were heros? Thanks guys

I think its more fun and the suspence greater finding your gear from scratch.

I seem to spawn after death miles from anywhere mostly not near any towns but always fairly near cherno how is it others spawn in different parts of the Island? People mention helicopters how do they even get so far to them to repair or use them, I never even seen or heard one!

You start with a coyote pack and I found an assult pack but was unable to pick it up or wear it, what was I doing wrong?

Where can I find the humanity score?

I am in the same place as you pal albeit you may be a few steps ahead of me in progress. Each time I play i last longer, take my time a little more, be that touch more cautious too. My hunting grounds are still deep south and coast area until I get better gear that can take me to new areas. Its learning curb every time you play but getting better each time.

So how come you spawn there? I never even been there! Loads if good stuff there too I hear, how come I dobt get a spawn there. ...ever

Can I have a hatchet and gun, dont seem to be able to have the both. If gun is in my hand I can have hatchet on tool belt but cant have hatchet in hand and gun?

I seem to respawn most times miles from anywhere, then spend 15 minutes or so getting to a place that might have a coke or ammo i cant use, then get chased out by zombies for ages until the cycle happens again. i have seen a couple of guys to which i am shouting friendly running towards them only to be shot and then have to start the process all over again..... I havnt seen a vehicle to use, there are too many zombies and i dont even have a gun half the time, i am doing something wrong?

What are the different speaking ststems? I dont want to chat about what i had for my tea but more if I see someone I want to communicate with in a moments notice. Global chat Side chat What are the differences and what do I need to use.

How to be "friendly" without getting killed?

I am still going with the intent of finding friendly forces to link up with but have been betrayed on all occasions. One guy with a hatchet was getting chased by zombies so I joined in the chase and took down 2 zombies thus rescuing the hatchet man, told him to follow me to a safe place, which he did, then buried his axe in my head when I went to my backpack andvtook all my gear...nice. Still hoping to find some urban pals to create a new red dawn wolverine group. -
Is that when you press caps lock to talk you speak to people in you very near vicinity??
