The pellet rifle would never pierce a skull as think as a human skull. A pellet shot, is nothing more than a tiny piece of lead, that will not gain the momentum required to make a kill without hitting something in the eyes or possibly throat. Difference between the pellet and a high caliber 5.56x45mm NATO round, is probably about the same as being stepped on by a cat, and an elephant. A 5.56 NATO is usually a 63 grain piece of steel coated lead/hollowpoint/ or other design, that is propelled out of the barrel by a chemical reaction, giving it well over 1,700 joules of energy. A pellet, is a tiny little piece of lead, shot out by little more than compressed air, or a spring mechanism. Weighing most likely less than 20 grains, and having less than I'd guess about 200 joules (don't quote). Point is, when you get hit by a 5.56x45mm round, you're getting hit by a miniature car with a spear mounted on the front, that will abruptly explode inside of you, fragmenting into your organs. When you get shot with a pellet, it is a glorified skin piercing spitwad. ^This post was quite enjoyable^ :D

I think he is suggesting that it have little in game game manuals. I honestly don't have a problem with this idea, as it would really help beginners that have never played Arma to do things such as fly choppers. I can remember the first time I flew in game. Fiery crash. Luckily it was in Basic Training in Arma II.When SA hits, not everyone will have access to ArmaII, nor the will to buy it just to learn how to fly a chopper. What he is saying has nothing to do with the actions themselves, just the knowledge IRL on how to perform said actions correctly in game.

Agreed, Officer in the New Zealand Royal Air Force, has to have some knowledge of military grade weapons. I think that he can be trusted with these things. I am a gun nut, and have some training in military tactics so far from my Law Enforcement, and the realism of the Arma II engine IMHO could be used as a training simulator for quite a few situations to be completely honest. Honestly, with some programming, it could be used to teach anything from hostage situation tactics to firearms stripping and cleaning. I can strip almost any weapon that you put in front of me, and put it back together in under an hour. Then be able to do it again in under ten. DayZ is the best thing to hit the gaming world in awhile, and IMO the best thing to hit the sim world in well... ever.

How many AR's do you have? I have only one. With a Aimpoint Comp m3 Red Dot, Laser Devices LAS/TAC 2 LED mounted left, Bottom mounted NcStar Vetical grip, and an A2 stock. Also have an actual ACOG, that I have run and gunned once. lol. Is my baby. Practically cost as much as the AR-15. Also have a slide fire custom stock, for the times I'm feeling... round happy.
