I don't see why people have to conform to your playstyle.I kill people within 300 meters, because at that distance they could be a threat and give away my position. If my squad comes across someone with gear or supplies we need, we kill them. We are an un-friendly squad, it is how we enjoy playing. If someone is to get on dayz and then be ridiculed by people like you on how they have fun, AND be playing legit withous hacks.... well, maybe it is you that should get off regular DayZ. When I play Halo multiplayer, I like to snipe. Maybe you like to go in guns blazing. Should I stop playing Halo? No, we just have different ways we like to play the game.

It HAS to be, I didn't even bother mentioning the YUGO SKS because Russia and China practically should make it a sold fucking deal.I own a Yugo SKS myself. One of my all time favorite guns to shoot, and 7.62 Wolf is cheap as dirt.

While we're at it, where the fuck are the KSK's????? Thousands were produced in Russia and China in the 50's and 60's, some of them had to have gone somewhere.

Whats funny is he is too stupid of an admin to put up a kick/tele bubble around his base. I mean, if he is so concerned about having such a shitty server, then why not put up a a no entry bubble around it? Probably not a very good admin. Or coder at that.

Title says it all. Pros: I'm really happy that it'll be coming out soon, and the wait is finally over. Loving the new gameplay style, more focused on looting and survival than just PKing. The fact that high grade military weapons will be much rarer, but will really turn into a dislike if we lose our M4 CCOs and stuff like that. The new zombie attack animations are awesome. Server side zombie spawning and inventory system look pretty good. The premise behind clothing and health is even better. Cons (YES I FUCKING KNOW IT'S IN ALPHA): ANIMATIONS! I was so looking forward to fluent movement like in the Mod, it seems very jerky and very forced. Hopefully it'll get patched! The drag and drop inventory screen. No idea if it was just Matt at the controls, or what, but this also seemed very funky when it came to controlling. No offense Matt! Holding of the gun. Seems very minor, yes, but the character looked like he was 'scarfacing' with his weapon. I really hope that this changes as well. Those Ugly UGLY crosshairs. EW! Get rid of them, please! The zombie death animation... *sadface* still looks like a bad actor in a low budget shakespeare production. Yes, this one is old. But the fact that the A3 engine isn't being used more. So, what do you all like and dislike? Please keep it mature and detailed, don't come on here and be bickering with each other or insulting anyone. Damn, well, that escalated quickly.... Warning: TL;DR Content. If you dislike reading, then turn away now! If you have to ask me, I'm pumped as all hell. Standalone is gonna kidnap me (at least I hope it does). But to be honest, like some have said, I think we might hit a few disappointments with it. The build-up has been so great, and we all have been expecting this uber-mega game that was going to be like DayZ Mod. I don't think that is gonna be the case. It isn't going to do anything perfect for awhile, but the great thing about it is that it doesn't to to just do a few things perfect, it just does a ton of things. Open world MMO, FPS/TPS, Zombie Survival game? PFFT, AMAZING! And that isn't even mentioning the inventory system, combining things, teamwork, there is an endless list of things the game will offer us. But being a member of the community for the past 8+ months, loyal, never faltering or saying a bad word about the game... and then seeing this (random video that shows anims): Go to this: Well, it's a tad disappointing for a loyal member of the community see things like this. I will be playing the shit out of SA, and I hope everyone else does too (bar the fucktards that are gonna try to skiddie it up). I'm proud to play DayZ and consider myself end-game :P (every single map, played as both hero and bandit, killed over 10,000 zombies, killed over 1,000 people and have helped just as many in different ways, and run one of the most popular servers around). Not to toot my own horn or anything. :D What we should ALL be grateful for is that we are part of a community where devs actually listen to what we have to say. Any one person has the chance to make an impact on the game, and many already have. When and if the dev team does read this thread, I hope they take every critisism here to heart. I personally mean no disrespect to any of them, and I'm sure nobody else does. We just wanna see DayZ earn what it rightfully deserves, not only game of the year, but best game of all time.

I completely understand why they did DayZ. It was a revolutionary step forward in gaming.I'm still loving SA, but really hope the Anim's get much better. Which I don't doubt they will.

I honestly can say my jaw dropped when I saw most of them... It was really disappointing. :(

All this aside, yes, I actually agree that atm it doesn't look great. But, if you're a true fan of DayZ and a loyal member of the community, you'll wait and see what Rocket throws our way.The animations do look a bit WarZish, and very cheesy, but you know what? I'll be there with my squad on release... no matter what.

There are a few things I dislike as well.Moving animations are a tad tacky, And I loath the scarface 'say hello to my little friend' style of holding a weapon. Other than that, I am loving the fact that it is coming out soon. I'm really getting tired of these randomly executed DDos attacks on DayZ.st. Who else has been having problems? And who do you thing is behind it? (NOT a thread for talking shit about DayZ.st,. I could care less about your previous experiences, I personally think they have great customer support and have only had a single billing problem with them that was quickly solved)

So, I'm on my usual mid-day admin heli ride to blood bag people around the map, and I encounter this west of zelenogorsk. I had remembered seeing it way back when in my vanilla days, but had never bothered to screenie it. Anyone else ever seen it, or better yet, have a clue on what it says?!?

So... I'll start off by saying obviously DayZ isn't a bad thing, but it has seriously changed the way I look at gaming and what I look for in games themselves. I find that I do not enjoy games that I used to really like after being on a DayZ binge for the past few months (lol). Exhibit A... As this is my last day of spring break, I am enjoying it by staying up late, and it is currently Monday. Yesterday, my buddy came over and we had a few drinks and played games, as we do every Sunday (as it is written). He brought over a few we had been playing, and one I hadn't tried. We started off with this game... and it was a humm dinger. Might wanna close your eyes for this one guys, because the game was Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Yes... I know, the face you are making is the same face that I made when he said that I HAD to play it. So, I humored him... and after a few games, myself as well. Could not stop lol'ing at every turn. The non-existent tactics of squads, the trolling, the weapons, hip-firing, sniping, the CHILDREN, everything about the game was awful to a now veteran DayZ/ArmA2 player. So... after a few games, we finally switched to another game that I knew I enjoyed... Halo 4 multiplayer, our usual shoot the shit game that would consume Sunday after Sunday. But... I didn't even enjoy that... Slayer, Team Slayer, SWAT, even special modes wouldn't make me even jump. I went through the motions and quickly got bored. So we ended up switching over to Resident Evil 6 (which is NOT a good game by any means) and finishing Chris and Adas campaigns, and had to push myself through that and another three Dos Equis before I didn't even give a shit enough to play. So we turned on G4 and shot shit till my fiance had to mop me off the floor, and his girlfriend had to carry him to the car (true story lol). I have a headache from hell right now, and can't seem to find the remote :( What I'm really getting at, is that I don't think I'll ever enjoy another game like I have enjoyed DayZ... At least not till SA :thumbsup: How about you guys?... Any specific games it has ruined for you?

I want a river, a waterfall, crocodiles, orcs, sauron... I want the standalone to allow me to defecate and/or urinate in my gaming rig so I do not have to get up whilst I play its epicness (and if need be, email the contents to my enemies.), I want the game to come in a CD copy made of solid diamond and plated with a gold cover. I want want want want........*explosion* Standalone will be the most epic game in the history of ever, just give it its time, and be surprised. After all, after the wait this community has endured, it had better be epic as all fucking hell. Like a unicorn riding a majectic manbearpig carrying a sword of pure light mass murdering all the trolls and terroists that exist in the universe. (SOOOO wish I had a picture to post of this)
