What do you think is the best sidearm in DayZ? (besides silenced pistols
OfficerRaymond replied to Storm Slider's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Revolver Makarov (Don't fuckign judge me, it is badass) G17 M9 PDW M9SD M1911 Revolver > everything else. Easy ammo, powerful, fast enough, accurate as all hell. Makarov is weak but it's easy ammo and is still very accurate, also very quiet to players. G17 is a given, easy(ish) ammo, fast but not as accurate. PDW, full-auto, mags everywhere seeing as how it uses G17, M9, M9SD, MP5, MP5SD AND PDW mags. Closed iron sights are always a drawback. M9 doesn't have a ton of ammo, but is still fast. M9SD, hard to find ammo, inaccurate. M1911, imo the worst. Horrid iron sights, inaccurate. I usually only spam with it or kill zombies from pine trees. However, it is powerful and holds one more than revolver, still sucks imo. Good question OP. -

This. There is no way you're going to be able to run DayZ.I recommend at least an i5 or better and a GTX 650 or better, although I have played on an i3 and an intel HD 4000, but it was really laggy.

I agree 100% with creature in his reply. The ones that have ruined gaming are the people that choose to go easy mode. If you want to have a fun and easy time on a game, then go play your classic FPS CoD or Left for Dead, and leave the challenges to people like us.I personally think the gaming industry has yes, been destroyed over the past 10 years... but not by people that you mention. The people that have destroyed gaming are the ones that strive for games like CoD and even Battlefield (sort of). Gaming should go back to the good ol' days of games like Resident Evil, DOOM, Mario, Poke'mon, and countless other titles that you couldn't just get on and own everything in sight. IMO, games like ArmaIII and DayZ bring things like that to the table, only more modernized.

Hello everyone! Just wanna take the time to advertise a friends server. Just yesterday, our server experienced a unfortunate problem with the provider, and the owner was forced to switch to a different IP address. In the process, we have lost almost all of our regulars, currently, we are just praying people will find it again. We are an extremely friendly group of people, we always welcome new players, as long as they are willing to follow the rules. We don't try to go 'full tactical' like others, everyone has their own playstyle. Whether it be balls to the wall shoot em' up crazy, hide and run when you get the chance, or even full military tactical, every style is welcome. There are no 'server specific' clans either, although they are welcome. We have a dedicated Teamspeak server that can be found in the server name as well. The server is in no way vanilla, with over 300 vehicles and over 15 choppers, you'll never have to walk for long. Custom mapping allows you to loot less, and PvP or PvZ more. Extra barracks in Pulkovo, North East, and North West, apartments and store at North West, Firehouse and Store in Kamenka, with much more to come! People hoarding vehicles is a thing of the past! Vehicles are deleted after inactive use, and if stashed too far North, the same fate awaits. Spawn with Crossbow/Makarov/Map/toolbox. NEW: Veteran loadout after 50 hours on the server. Instead of spawing with crossbow/makarov, you will spawn with camo clothing/winchester/m1911 and survival gear! Rules are simple: No voice over side, EVER! No trolling or harassment in the server OR the Teamspeak Vehicles parked too far north are a no-no and will be deleted. Usually the safe cutoff point is anything past the Dam North of North East. Complete PvP. No scripting WHATSOEVER. All GUID's caught hacking will be reported to Battleye for review and banning. If you want to keep playing DayZ at all, don't script/hack. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ That is really all, as long as you're a friendly, dedicated player, you'll have a shitload of fun. Server IP: 184.173.146.22 Teamspeak IP: 192.95.21.94:18062 EDIT: Admins are 99% of the time, logged on. Of course, you must take into consideration this is a US based server, and many people are EST. However, one of our admins is West Coast, and another is UTC.

Do you hide bodies you come across?
OfficerRaymond replied to Owain1122's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I only hide bodies if I wanna be an asshole to whoever I just killed, ex: Someone was trying to troll me or killed me previously. I just take the gear I need and hide it, and let the raging over side begin. Other than that I don't hide bodies, I just take what I need and be on my way. I'll also hide bodies that have junk, no need to have them laying around. -

How Did You First Become a Bandit?
OfficerRaymond replied to TheRaptorFence's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Simple and to the point. I was absolutely sick and tired of backstabbing arseholes. For the first month of DayZ, I had so much fun looting and meeting people, regardless of whether or not they killed me. However, it was a fateful day when it happened. I was playing with two friends of mine as usual, and we were fully geared. There was another group of three on the server, and they seemed friendly enough when we eventually met up in Cherno. They fixed our car, and we gave them med supplies. No biggie, we went our separate ways. We invited them into my TS and they took a separate channel. After about an hour of playing, we run into them again after them shooting at us by accident, they pop the tire by mistake, but are able to let them know it is us before they kill us. I, un-trusting already, go hide in a bush and we all enter their channel. After some discussion and them driving up to our car to fix it, they ask where I was... and I wittingly say that I logged off. Watching from a bush, they mruder both my friends in cold blood scream "fuck you" in the TS and leave with our car. NEVER TRUST ANYONE THAT SOUNDS TO BE UNDER 16! >_< So, still living (but down one man due to him rage quitting), me and my remaining friend go on a rampage of carnage through-out the server looking for them, killing around 9 people (3 of them bambis :( ) before we found them. When we actually do find them, we kill a single one of them, the other two combat log, and then proceed to give out our TS IP to I guess... well, everyone they knew. LOL. I can actually look back and laugh, but there were no lol's that day... not after being spammed by over 50+ different people. That is why I bandit, because I lost faith in other players long long ago. It's starting to become the same way for me in Origins. I enjoy banditing, and have even started a clan dedicated to it. I only kill if someone comes within 100m, or if I want their gear. People that are in our way are also fair game (looting places we want to loot). However, we never spawn camp, but WILL kill bambis if they get too close. I don't see why people freak out over bandits that kill, I mean no, this isn't a PvP game, but it does have factors that include PvP. Ask yourselves... would you still be playing DayZ if you hadn't been killed by people? What if you had NEVER once been killed by people? Would you still... really play? -
Nice work. Looks awesome. :beans:

One Thing People Aren't Excited About in the Standalone
OfficerRaymond replied to JustThatEpic's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I have played a ton of Utes, rofl. I bought Arma II way back when and all I used to play was Losi's armory. There is no way you'd ever get anything hidden on Utes for longer than a few days, particularly if it holds any areas of high value loot. It'd be like putting a tent anywhere within 1km of NWAF in vanilla, not necessarily going to be found, but EXTREMELY risky. -
New server! bounty if you join in 2 hours from now!

Typical attitude..... criticized by someone, and references something he has no clue to the function of.Great way to attract players bud. Your server will go far. -
One Thing People Aren't Excited About in the Standalone
OfficerRaymond replied to JustThatEpic's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
It'll matter what is actually on the island. I don't doubt it'll be the home of some actual military loot, which as we all know will be like a needle in a haystack in SA.If this is true, then prepare for chaos. If it isn't, then I honestly see no reason to even venture there. It'd be a long long run, only to get to an invaluable area with nothing to reward, too small to put a base on due to the lack of space, and then the journey back. When I play, I allocate my time to valuable tasks. If something isn't worth it, then I don't bother. I gladly welcome a chaotic challenge though, all the merrier. -
Will anyone else play KOS in SA when it comes out?
OfficerRaymond replied to Ozelot (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I actually agree with the OP on one fact... I will be killing people in SA... Not necessarily KoS, but so help me god, if you get to close to my beans, prep your anus for the wrath of a thousand spider monkeys. However, this shit needs to be locked... OP is a troll swag *** <3 -

What is DayZ Origins?
OfficerRaymond replied to itamar (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I quit playing DayZ for about two weeks after my server was closed (we got tired of paying the money and never actually getting to play). I went off and played other games for awhile, but came back three days ago, swallowed my pride, and installed Origins to play with a buddy. I can honestly say.... it is a badass mod. It brings me back to the old days of DayZ, without the skiddies. Running for hours, scrambling for food or water on a blinking meter, being tactical... all of it. It's a perfected version of Vanilla. Now what the devs did, fuck that. That is the sole reason why I never played earlier, and some of the Admins on many of the servers? Forget about it... Attitude is fucking rampant, like a bunch of spoiled children that will kick you for the slightest disagreement. If you can get over those two things, then the mod will definitely grab your attention for hours. House/Base Building Pretty cool leveling system for bandit/heros Stronger and much more dangerous zombies Vehicle modding Many more guns Strange new map to explore(if you haven't played Tavania) Only bad things are that they haven't implemented some of the better things that DayZ vanilla has (at least on the server I play on), such as: Combat roll Magazine Splitting(like combining 2x 2rd slugs into half (4) an 8 round M1014 slug. You just have to collect 4x 2rd slugs) Can't think of any others atm, but I'm sure there are many. Edited for typo's :D
