FPS So low Help Please
OfficerRaymond replied to ZombieNation2012's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Internet connection maybe? You do have to connect online to servers... If you're located in a High Traffic area or bum fuck nowhere boonies, you'll experience connection issues which could cause lag issues. Other than that you shouldn't be running low. Average FPS in cities, towns, and woods? Are you running background programs? Have you defragged your PC lately? Are you using Razer Game Booster to run DayZ? -

I rarely watch gaming vids, ruins the game for me. I do however, watch channels like nutnfancy and cutlerylover and enjoy the hell out of them. -
Been suggested a million times. I'm on the fence about it, because there are tons of positives that come from it, but there are also tons of negatives.

What happened to the dayz mod ?
OfficerRaymond replied to reuben5150's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Well, seeing as how hlaf of the post I see you have made are you disagreeing with people, I doubt me saying anything will matter to you at all. But, oh well. Loot in Origins is much harder to find than in Vannila, there is more of a variety in the guns you get, but ammo and HIGH grade weapons are much harder to get without working for it. You speak of loot farming? HA! Shit playing like that is why DayZ is no fucking fun for anyone in the first place. I literally laugh at you right now for even mentioning farming. I disallow loot farming in my entire clan, mainly because I KNOW what it does to people. "Hey, lets cycle loot!" -> "Hey, lets dupe items!" -> "DayZ isn't any fun anymore, I'm not gonna be an active member of the clan anymore" I visit each building in a town, ONCE. You wanna call me out on being an immersion freak, or a goodie two shoes? Go for it. I'll enjoy the game MUCH longer than you ever will. Zombies usually one hit bleed, they do more damage than vanilla zombies, and they take MUCH more damage. Zombies in vanilla were an annoyance during a firefight, zombies in Origins during a firefight are deadly. And plus they do look creepier. There are, like I clearly mentioned before, more vehicles than in vanilla. However, they aren't overdone like in most Private Hives. Meaning you can still FIND something without everyone hoarding them, but not every two steps. Plus, parts for the cars themselves are rarer than in vanilla as-well. Go ahead, contradict all you like. You keep on playing your DayZ, farming your loot, stocking up tents... yada yada. I'll play the way I like to, and enjoy what the DayZ community puts out. -
I guess it's true you evacuate your bowels upon death...

Hmm.... 500-600.... Idk. You could browse around and ask around forums, but I can't recommend anything with faith. If you're gonna upgrade to a Desktop, then DO NOT skimp. EVER! It'll be well worth the money if you do a lot of gaming on it. Honestly, you could get the i5-3570k and something like a.... NVIDIA Geforce GTX 650 for $99 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130827) and still run everything on high. But like I said, it's all about compatible parts, and while I'm knowledgeable with GPUs and Processors, component compatibility is something I can't tell you about, as I haven't gotten that far into learning about PCs yet :P

As many of you know, steams summer sale is underway, and huge deals are about. Well, I'd strongly recommend that if you have ever had the slightest urge to buy the DLC's to make your skins go high res, then now is the time to do it. I literally just got them two days ago, and am LOVING the subtle changes. They're currently 6.02 a piece (I got them for 3.05 :P), they really do make them game look better. When you're running at high-very high everything, you definitely don't wanna be laying in the high res sexy grass, and have some blotchy, b/s ghillie! I'll update this thread with screenies as I take them.

This is what I got so far as per what the game looks like with the DLC:

What happened to the dayz mod ?
OfficerRaymond replied to reuben5150's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I only did it for 2 months after I took over ownership, I was admin for a long time before that. It is a difficult thing, but everything passes with time. I'm surprised it stayed as popular as it did for as long as it did. -
What happened to the dayz mod ?
OfficerRaymond replied to reuben5150's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Well I mean, I was paying 30 bucks a month for something I never got to play because I was either busy making sure my add-ons worked, adding new add-ons, checking for hackers, or CONSTANTLY in the teamspeak Server Support channel helping people. Even when I did get to play I was dealing with people constantly trying to accuse people of abuse, and I pretty much couldn't even go near a town without people screaming that I was abusing myself. It became something that was fun and awesome to provide for people, into a living nightmare that started affecting my personal life. -
How do you perform your acts of banditry?
OfficerRaymond replied to Skypill's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Umm..... the thing of which you speak is called backstabbing... I find it a low down dirty and pathetic way of playing... lol. But, whatever floats your boat. I stalk my kill and wait for the right moment, that is it. Or kill people that try to kill me when I'm performing a looting operation. -
What happened to the dayz mod ?
OfficerRaymond replied to reuben5150's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Fixed, quotation issues. It's probably a good thing you never post here then. As you may have noticed, the forum doesn't take kindly to people complaining. And I don't blame anyone on here that snaps at someone bitching. There are literally 20+threads a day complaining about one thing or another. Servers die. It happens. -

What happened to the dayz mod ?
OfficerRaymond replied to reuben5150's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
He questioned your ORIGINAL idea of Wasteland with dayz because you never specified the base building aspect... derp...LOL. Wastleand at its core, is about PvP. DayZ, at its core (at least intended core), is about survival. Maybe you became popular because some people saw that there were 10 or so people on, and then people kept on joining till your player base was maxed? We don't know how you became popular... Maybe it was the things you implemented in your server, maybe it was pure luck... who cares? Lastly, what are the FORUM MODERATORS going to do to stop mods like Origins from popping up? Say: "We don't like the idea of a game that is a mod in itself being modded, we'll have too much variety in the community. Take away the modding or else!". What you are pretty much implying is that it is everyone's fault that we have cool new mods that other people enjoy, and that we should be restricted to one version, which is ignorant. Origins, Breaking Point, and other mods have endless content that could provide new content for SA. I still think it's funny that you are hovering over how your server hit the shitter when it would hit the shitter anyway when SA came out. -

I'm not arguing the spawn rate :P They do overspawn, however, it is FAIRLY realistic compared to its real life counterpart... apart from the recoil.

Well, there are only 50 threads a day about shit like this. Sorry I don't take the time to post considerate and caring comments instead of saying what is on my mind and moving on. We should all be more like you. #perfectforumposter
