Feel free to have a thread in which you do not, everyone will be glad to attempt to help you free of charge... we aren't a bunch of pay-by-the-hour techies... we're just helpful gamers. IMO, I'd just buy a different computer, but since you probably can't fit it in a budget, I'll leave my two cents on the table.

I never said that you said anything about it being perfect :P However, if you ask anyone what the main focus of DayZ is, you'll get a million varying answers. There is NO FOCUS to this game. Granted, the focus in development is zombies/survival and for now, getting a working game together. But once all that is complete and we're in a full release mode, then content should be added. Remember, cars aren't even going to be in the Alpha. Also, Dean has the 'if you aren't going to do it right then don't do it' attitude. If they are going to add cars to the standalone version of the game, then why would they not do it right? Of course it would take some work, but that is the point of making a game... What would we get in games like Halo, Battlefield, or any other game for that matter if the developers just did the bare minimum? Many games do do the bare minimum... look at Arma 2 as an example when it comes to car mechanics. AWESOME games series, but the car mechanics SUCK hardcore. Of course Arma 2 was limited by tech of the date, but how much better would it be if the cars were like they were in this video? DayZ SA won't have the same restrictions.

So? This is supposed to eventually be a 'perfect' game. Of course no game can be perfect, but it can certainly be damn good! Once we hit a full-release (not Alpha, not beta, FULL release) we HOPEFULLY will see the dev team expand and break off into segments... a team for fixing bugs, and separate teams all collaborating with each other and the bug team to come up with and introduce new content. At least that would be the smart thing to do.

Simply put, how does one person become this stupid? I just can't wrap my mind around it. I understand trolling, but I remember a time of internet trolling that used to be eloquent... there was a sort of art to it. It used to be actually pretty funny for more than one party, and at times, the party being trolled even laughed... but now... it's just degenerated into this. (happened about 15 minutes ago). I was the main target, but I was thoroughly enjoying antagonizing. Is it just me that actually sees this and gives it more than one thought? I'm just baffled... Is stupidity of this level actually possible??

Being a bandit pays off much more than being a hero... I look at being a hero like admining a server. You have to deal with idiots all day and can't do anything about it or else you become shat on. I have been down one road, and will never go down the hero road. lol

Well, we incorporate ranks, and we do have a probationary period, but we are a semi-small group. However I am looking to expand into a large community. You may or may not want to look into UTASS, we're pretty much what you described, bar the ranking system. But we are a very friendly group (occasional disputes). All 20+ except for my little brother, who is 16. Hit me back if you are interested at all. I own a Teamspeak and am never discriminant as long as you're friendly and mature.

Well you didn't list your GPU, but no, it doesn't not look like you will be able to run the game with that processor.

Umm.... anything I can get in the air? LOL In DayZ the only place I feel safe is also the place I have the most fun, and that place is in a cockpit. My personal favorite would be the Huey for it's maneuverability and speed, then the lil' bird for being able to fly low through cities, and finally the Mi's. USed to play on a server that had Ospreys, I swear I could land them in places nobody else though of, without auto-hover!

Also, Global Bans are NOT to be posted in the Ban Appeals section as per the stickied thread. If you got banned and were a hacker, then sucks for you, don't hack. If you were banned because you downloaded something suspicious, sucks, be more careful. Don't expect any remorse here.

I say sometime AFTER Augusts Gamecom and before January 2014. Just a wild guess though. Plenty of a window to get the gamecom present into a functioning alpha, and can still capitalize on Christmas sales for all them kiddies. The game isn't being made for money, it's being made to be awesome. BI may be looking to capitalize on it, but not the dev team.
