Sounds great for once the game is in Beta/Completed. Since right now isn't focused on actual entertainment, it's focused on testing, I don't see this being necessary until at least Beta. Instead of looking at DayZ:SA as a game, look at it like the frame of a game, the foundation, because in all reality that's what it is right now. It's like a house, you can go inside the framework if you need to, but you don't actually live in it.

Game would be fun if they had a smaller boundry

Well, I'm sorry to disappoint, but Chernarus isn't shrinking. It's supposed to be a giant apocalyptic wasteland. If you can't manage finding your friends by following the coastline, I'm sorry but no one is to blame but you. Good luck and keep warm :) -

I've seen a Press Vest in .50 Exp, but not in .49, however I don't play on Stable much, so I wouldn't be too much of a help with this xD But fear not, Press Vests will be back if they are for some reason gone Oh and that was also the first Press Vest I've ever found, I was freaking out with joy (Then I proceeded to get shot exiting the building)

As long as it's hard to get a good shot at long distance (Due to little/no support for your gun), I'm all for it, however I don't see this being likely

Will the Beta version cost anything?
Conrad_The_Comrade replied to vince478's topic in New Player Discussion
No, you bought the whole game, don't worry :) You just paid ahead of time to help test it out Edit: And I'm fairly certain this has been addressed by Dean on multiple accounts, although I'm not certain if it's on the steam page (Which if not, it absolutely should be) -
Lol, I do play with my boyfriend sometimes, but we usually end up staying away from other people unless necessary, we can't afford getting separated in the apocalypse ;)

are duping and hack issues fixed ?
Conrad_The_Comrade replied to trev186's topic in General Discussion
Haven't seen any hacks (That I was aware of), not have I ever seen something that seems like duping (Of course I could be wrong), the only thing I've ever seen was infinite ammo mags back before .49, other than that I've never had issues :P Yay me! -
Or you can press tab while holding down "w" so you keep running, and click the little red x button next to your hands slot if you're so inclined to drop your weapon.

Quick question, can you craft improvised crossbow bolts? I know you can craft improvised arrows, but I've tossed away Crossbows plenty of times thinking you had to find pre-existing bolts. -
What am I not getting about warmth?
Conrad_The_Comrade replied to synystr's topic in General Discussion
Make sure the clothing you're wearing is in good condition, otherwise it will have little to no effect. Sprinting around also heats up your character, but be careful because it will dehydrate you faster (I think). Good luck and keep warm :) -

Do Zombies Dream Of A Good Nights Sleep? (Zombie feedback)
Conrad_The_Comrade replied to SmashT's topic in General Discussion
Trust me pal, I've had issues with zombies, they just aren't common, and they aren't nearly as bad as they were before. The only zombie clipping issues I've had recently was zombies clipping through doors, and even then that's only happened to me once or twice. I've shot off a gun at Balota and had a giant horde trying to slaughter me that I kept at bay with a set of doors. In my personal experience with the game recently, I don't see zombies being much of an issue any more. It could be that you're just joining a laggy server, or something along those lines. I don't know what to say other than that. -
Slightly increasing regular running speed.

Now, just keep in mind Arma 2 was a military sim, and in Standalone the devs are trying to go for a more "Civilian" feel. We aren't trained soldiers, and our bodies aren't equipped to handle that kind of stress. We aren't used to run around with guns for this duration, we aren't used to not getting properly fed, we aren't used to what the apocalypse throws at us. The speed at which the people in game jog seems fitting, considering it's a jog, and we aren't marathon runners or soldiers. -

See, that's what I don't understand about this guy, I don't think it was about survival, more just to challenge himself. Their was a good 3 of us in total all with guns and axes and the whole 9 yards right? And one of him, with fists. Theirs no way he could take us all down (Without taking in consideration of other outside factors), leading me to believe what I stated earlier, it wasn't about survival, it was about testing his skill. -
Lol, I use the in game map and compass all the time, and I've navigated from the South East, met up with some friends, led us to the NEAF, then to Devils Castle, then NWAF, then the military base below the NWAF, then all the way to Balota, to both Cherno and Electro, and then around again xD I've got navigation down to the T. It's fairly simple after a couple years of DayZ (Mod included of course)

Yeah, the moment they join your TS, or if you add them to Skype or whatever chat thing you use, you're usually golden. If they killed you then, you could track em down and bitch at them :P -
The Biggest Word To The Wise

I've only been betrayed by someone I've helped once, although then again I rarely help people, I usually just try to move them along as soon as I can. But stooory time: So me and 2 of my pals met up, yada yada yada, we were wandering in a town, heard some guy yell out (Broken leg/arm) and we came over to help. This guy was getting beaten the shit out of by like 5 zombies, so me and my friends tell him to run, and we'll take care of the zeds. So, we did so, bandaged him up, offered him food, water, etc. We talked for a good 5-10 minutes, when he finished eating and stuff and asked if he was ready to go on his way, he said yeah, and charged at me with his fists raised. I simply stepped over and swung my fireaxe (This was back in the early days when you could hit anything by swinging wildly as long as you're outside, inside... not so much) and he dropped where he stood. We took his goodies incase he woke up and tossed them into the woods, and went on our way. Basically, Me:100+ Hostile:0 ;) Story time over, hope you children enjoyed ;) But yeah, as said earlier, don't help people when you're alone, and never turn your back to them, ever. Good luck and keep warm! :D -

So you mean Sprinting Vs Jogging. That's honestly like saying *Humans should just be better*. It doesn't work that way, I'm sorry. We also have walking, but rarely do you see people actually walking. Also, shoes degrade faster when sprinting (In Exp only as of now) and you dehydrate faster when sprinting. It has it's disadvantages, jogging is needed. No human should sprint all the time, remember, this game shoots for authenticity, we're not all marathon runners. :P -

First off your English if fine buddy, better than some people's I know actually xD Secondly, this is a known issue, but I don't think anyone has an actual solution just yet, could be wrong. Hopefully they'll be rolling out a fix for this soon, good luck pal :) -

Ewwww Immersion breaker ;) Lol, if you like that stuff though, be my guest xD -
If I'm reading this right (I'm pretty sure I'm not) you would need a "z" coordinate and whatnot, x and y would just cover N,S,E,W, not up and down. Correct me if I'm wrong, or tell me if this isn't even near what you're trying to get at. xD Edit: Oh and I'm pretty sure underground structures are possible considering they've already made a few :P
