DayZ Watch List; Yes or No?
CreepySalad replied to dexterwollenburg@gmail.com's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
No. Gets rid of tension. -
Yeah, and this isn't it. Also, the game is SUPPOSED to make you feel uncomfortable. It'll also prevent you from being stupid about what you do. You'll avoid zombies, gunfights, and other stuff because of the risk.

DayZ Standalone suggestion: Ideas + Medical Side-Effects/Complications

As long as it is not tacticool bullshit.

Also, if they're all dangerous, no one would go to them.

Sure. Seems swell. Not something that's urgent though. It is a nice feature though.

-1. Didn't I...? I could've sworn I posted in here.

Just make the game infinitely harder. Like, yeah. I mean you don't HAVE to do the teamwork digs, but it would help a lot. You wouldn't have a choice IRL, so why would you in-game? It's supposed to make you uncomfortable, so if you don't feel like talking to people, oh well. I'm looking at you, Inception. So basically, I agree with Zoey.

Entrenchingtool for digging up hidden body?

If I'm not in a graveyard, and the grave looks fresh, I'm doin' it. Well, I'd instantly become a necrophilic in a zombie apocalypse, so maybe normal people wouldn't. -
I'm not understanding why people drawing fake-ass peens on the wall is driving people away from this suggestion. It could lead to VERY interesting adventures, and...stuff. And be honest, if the world was going to shit, what would be the first thing YOU'D do? I'd draw a shitload of dicks. DICKS ON WALLS DICKS ON DOORS DICKS ON HEADS DICKS ON FLOORS DICKS IN THE SKY

A huge wall of text of suggestions for the standalone[ophthalmologist advisory for reading a lot required] :p

No to clans, no to NPCs. Crafting should be improvised only. Like, no creating bullets for your gun, or using a factory to create guns. Just simple things that me and you can do. I'm not sure if you mentioned that in your post, but I think you did. I read it yesterday, I forgot. sorry. But besides that everything else is okay. -
I agree with the dude above me. Your character shouldn't feel fear or whatever, YOU should. hallucinations would be cool if like there were mushrooms or something maybe i guess ok
-
I like the idea, but it could be edited on a bit. I disagree with the whole crafting thing you're talking about. It shouldn't be that complex, or possible for you average person to create rounds for their guns. Crafting should be something you or I could do. Like put barbed wire on a baseball bat, or create a Molotov Cocktail. Maybe have it where loot respawns less and less over time. Like, as the server gets older, and the more people loot stuff, the less often loot respawns, until it no longer exists. People would have to rely on trading and murder. People might even join a group and betray them for maximum loot. This could more likely cause an improvised server economy. Improvisation is always good in DayZ. It makes it feel more authentic.

Yes. This is really good. 10/10

No NPCs.

Tolet papre would just break and enter the wound. It wouldn't do anything.
-
Make stupid things not break legs, and we could have a good 'ol amount of time you have to wait for your leg to heal. Like, being shot in the BONE. Or falling from extremely high heights. It would allow the healing process to take longer, because the only way you can break your leg is being retarded. I do like the wheelchair idea and stuff, but there wouldn't be much point if you only had to wait ten minutes for it.

How to make death actually matter more
CreepySalad replied to Ziliphade's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I personally think that being banned for a short time would provide incentive to live. Currently, the only incentive is "oh no, my stuff"! This is a multiplayer game, so we can't switch the map around or anything like that. No one can mug you for your stuff, because stuff = life. So why give them your stuff? It'll give more dynamic interactions between players. Instead of KoSing, you can now mug people, for example. Everyone will be more careful. -
I'm not sure I understand your suggestion. I don't like humanity, but I do like the idea of little "debuffs" that you have a chance of getting on spawn. Not blindness, but maybe things like deafness, or asthma, or something. It would be a nice touch to survival. With asthma, you can't run as long without needing an inhaler. Sometimes. Deafness is self explanatory. If humanity were to be implemented, I think they should be in the form of, like, these "debuffs". Low humanity = more severe diseases, but nothing too serious. High = a higher chance of being healthy. I still don't like humanity, but if it were
