So I was checking my map for a way to go, I wanted to leave the coast line and finally go up north, I am full of supplies, full of everything, the only gun that I had however, was a pistol with 2 mags, I was pretty happy that I could leave the coast and be safe... But when I closed the map and started walking, I noticed that suddendly, the pistol icon on my lower inventory turned white, and when I went to check my Chest Holster, my pistol was gone! Is that a bug and DayZ really ate my pistol or did I for some supernatural reason threw my pistol away?

I was on a weird server, I was on Elektro... The sky was full of clouds, I couldn't see the sun and the wind was pretty strong, I was picking up supplies so I could travel north to finally leave the the coast. As I was entering the North Firestation, I noticed that every door was closed, every single one. I was also creeped out because the server was full but I didn't see ANYONE in Elektro, it was like a ghost town. Anyway, I opened the big doors, I noticed that there was NO loot at all. Just a black... thing on a shelf, I went to it and saw that it was a Walkie Talkie. There was no description, just "...", and I couldn't turn it on, even with batteries, there was just the option to "Inspect" the object. What is that? This is not even a joke, I am actually creeped out about this, I still have it in my inventory if you guys want a picture.

Hi, it's me. I am going to tell you a KoS story... 2 days ago I spawned in Balota, I got some weapon attachments from the military compound, got some camo clothes and went to the barracks, got a M4 with 2 mags, a helmet, everything.... But I did a mistake, I went for weapons before supplies, I got hit by a zombie (that I killed), but in that one hit he made me bleed, I had no shirt because it deleted my shirt when I got the camo hoodie... So I ran all around Balota's city, trying to find a shirt to rip it, after loads of empty houses, I finally found it! And I survived... Of course my screen was completely Black/White, but I was alive! So I log off. 1 days ago I logged in a little house and saw a player right outside, he started shouting "Don't shoot!", I put my gun down and said "It's ok, mate. I won't shoot you", I even asked if he wanted anything and I gave him a can of soda and a fresh orange that I had found on those houses and walked away, I was feeling happy about myself, when I was close to Cherno I had to get out and haven't joined since today. Today I logged in and ran towards Cherno, the server was almost full and I was scared, I ran to the Market, nothing... When I was going to enter the Firestation, a man with a bat came over to me and... Tried to kill me... I thought that he would just walk away and leave me alone, but he tried to kill me, I shot 3 bullets into his chest and he fell dead... I couldn't even loot him because 5 zombies found me and I had to kill all of them, almost out of ammo. I bled for a while and bandaged, and as you know, I was almost dead already, my screen was literally Black/White and I could barely see. I banged but as I was equiping my axe, another 2 zombies came to me and killed me, I tried to kill them but I just couldn't equip my axe, no matter how many times I pressed. I spawned in Kamenka and wanted my fucking gear back. I ran all the way to Cherno, almost got KoS'd again, but I reached my destination, the zombies were still there, I quickly looted the dude with the bat, killed the zeds, I almost died again because I couldn't use my bandages... Again. Anyway, I survived, and as I was getting my loot back, a man with just the same gear as me ran right in front of me, he looked at me... I froze IRL, I was going to die because I couldn't Equip my M4. I ran to a house next to me and tried to hide, I thought about telling him "I can't change weapons and I'm almost dead, don't shoot me please"... But I couldn't see him anymore... My only plan was: Leave Cherno and go north. I was happy that I had a decent amount of Blood and my gear again! ... As I left the house... That guy with full gear and a M4 WITH AMMO shot me... one shot and I'm dead... He saw me. I didn't kill him. He already had full gear. Why would he waste ammo on someone who wouldn't kill him and surely hadn't more gear than him. Why?

I can't help myself, I wouldn't do that If I hadn't been through all of that shit for that gear.

Huh... As much as I LOVE this game and how it's working out... I can't just say it's not BROKEN. I spawned in (New character due to wipe) and went towards balota, I looted some houses, got A CAN OPENER and some food and water, some clothing... hats... and I walked towards the barracks, it was all spawned in ready to go. But then... poof, my flashlight went out... In like 10 minutes. And now that I can't change gamma, I couldn't see anything, but I decided to deal with it. So I started looting, found a shovel in good conditions, a M4A1 with ammo and in good condition too. I was happy. So I went over to loot the other two barracks pretty quickly because I saw a flashlight over in the distance. As I was entering the last barrack, I looked to the left and saw a zombie RIGHT next to me, just sitting there, making no sound or anything, I pressed 2 to equip my shovel to kill it. It wouldn't work and the zombie started hitting me. I pressed 2 again and he finally picked the Shovel, BUT HE PUT IT IN HIS BACK AGAIN. So I press again, and nothing happens. Then I press again and for some reason it puts up my fists, so I try to run away but my character was stuck on walk only because of my fists. So I press 2 again, AND I FINALLY EQUIP MY SHOVEL. ... I can't kill it, no matter HOW MANY TIMES I hit it, you guys have no idea how many hits to the head that zombie took... but he wouldn't die... So after a thousand hits, he finally died. And when I went to rip my shirt, I couldn't. I had to take it off, rip it and use it... I died. So I listed a few fixes here that... I think are the worst: Flashlight. It runs out of power TOO soon, 10 minutes and it died, and for some odd reason it just DELETED the flashlight, I agree that you should just remove the Gamma/Brightness thing, but at least give us more powerful flashlights.Please. FIX THE ZOMBIE SOUNDS. I know that lots of things got fixed in this #2 Update, but I still see NO improvement in their sounds, and as I said in this post, I didn't hear ANYTHING.Picking weapons. For some reason I can't change weapons while running (I am pretty sure I could do before on the SA) and it takes so long, takes several seconds for my character to change guns, and your normal response is to press it again, but that puts your weapon back on your... back, and... it's just so BROKEN. I am not saying "FIX DIS NAO OR I KILL U!!!!1!1", but just things that are really important.

Just like xInfinityx said, they have two positions. Took me a while to realise that, lowered and raise. I got it. If you don't want to be hated on, you shouldn't say "This is shit, this needs work, it sucks, this all suck". Also: WARNING: THIS GAME IS EARLY ACCESS ALPHA. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE IT UNLESS YOU WANT TO ACTIVELY SUPPORT DEVELOPMENT OF THE GAME AND ARE PREPARED TO HANDLE WITH SERIOUS ISSUES AND POSSIBLE INTERRUPTIONS OF GAME FUNCTIONING.

There were two situations, one of them is funny and the other is epic. Situation numero uno: I was on the Balota Airfield, looting the military base, I got good gear, an axe and supplies, but as I was looting the last building, a man came out of nowhere with a little hammer, and saw me with a giant axe, he couldn't hit me for shit, he was running around me and I started hitting him, he was bleeding like a motherf---r, bleeding a river, so he ran away. 2 minutes later he comes back for another round with his little hammer and started running towards me, he can't hit for shit again, so I finish him off! I laughed so hard, the guy coming back with his little hammer. Situation numero dos: I had good loot, an axe, a Mozin with a scope but no ammo and a chest holster with a pistol (Also no ammo), but I wanted more military loot, so I ran to Balota again and saw at least 10 bodies, all around the Airfield. So I start looting, when I was in the middle of the airstrip, I look at the hangars and I see 2 players, they both have M4's and body armor, so I lay prone. But they saw me, when they aim at me I start running, I hear them shooting and the bullets hitting the ground next to me as I run. I almost died. For some reason that was SO awesome.

Same here. Sounds like all servers are crashed due to... I have no idea. Rocket said it was a problem with Steam itself. Me and my friend can't get in either, maybe they'll send a Hotfix soon.

I tried to join a 0 player server... Wait for Host. if I press "Play" it says Session Ended. HOTFIX INCOMING!

I am FULLY aware that this is Alpha and I understand the big text they put on the Steam page, but...

I am downloading the Standalone and I am EXCITED. I am watching some first impressions and... Oh My God. This just makes me even MORE excited to play, and most of my friends are buying too, so it'll be more fun! But of course the "First Person" experience is much better than watching it, so what should I expect? Bad FPS? Too many Bandits? I want the good stuff, I am FULLY aware that this is a Pre-Alpha and loads of bugs are in the game, but... I want to know if it feels like a The Walking Dead Survival or a WarZ Survival.

So, I have been playing on Unofficial servers for one reasong only: I CAN'T play on the Official Servers, everytime I spawn, I spawn passed out. I have 3 profiles on my DayZ/ArmA II list, and every single one of them is passed out, and with 127 days alive, and I never played on an Official Server. (Because I can't) What should I do? Some times I can talk on chat, I ask Admins to kill me or help me, but no response.

This is pissing me off. Every single good server has this thing now, you can get AS50s, Coyote Backpacks and Everything just by paying 5 dollars. I just got killed by a Sniper in Balota, he had everything, Fresh Spawn bodies everywhere, and after a while, I'm dead, sniped. These servers are taking the Survival aspect of the game and, well, burning it. WHAT IS THE POINT of playing a SURVIVAL game, if you pay U$5 and you got everything, What. Is. The. Point? 90% of these Donators are 12 year old children camping on Cherno. Ok, the Admins need a little money, but they just CAN'T ruin other peoples games. You can't just say "Pay me and be the king". What makes me wonder, is if these Admins even care about the people playing on their servers. I don't know if I'm the only one that thinks that way, but this pisses me off. Imagine this: This happened to me. And it's not nice. I was alive for days, real life days, almost died for a camper on Elektro, but I got away, and I end up dying for this other camper. I don't understand how is this survival, there are "Fun Time" servers, thousands of cars, DMRs on every spawn, it's funny, and I like it, but when I want to play and survive for real, I get sniped by noobs. I really hope the 50. cals get removed, this is really annoying. PS: I understand that this is the way to get some money, but it's really unfair, and I also understand that this isn't the Admins fault most of the times, but as I said, it's unfair.

I said "Free" because you don't need to search for the stuff.
