Jump of a lighthouse and respawn as a new character! =) Nah kidding, you need blood. Eat and drink loads until you start healing, or get someone to give you a saline-bag or blood of your correct blood-type. Be very careful with blood transfusions tho, you may get aids and die. Test the blood with a blood-test.

There is nothing to learn about the PU-scope. Just right-click and you will look through it. If you find the long-range-scope, you can right-click, then hold for additional zoom. I'd say, keep the Mosin, get a long-range scope, attach a bipod and your good for mid/long range. One shot in either the head or body will kill your target. As your second weapon, find the .357 bullets for the Magnum for close-combat, if you can't find it, go for the FNX45 with a red-dot-sight, two shots in the body or one in the head and the target is dead. If you run out of bullets the Fireaxe is your best friend. The M4A1 may look cool and all, but it's terribly inaccurate at longer ranges, but if you can't aim, sure go for the M4.

1. Core 0 and 1. Core 0 is the main core. However, setting the affinity seems to work less good the better the CPU get. Now after my new clocks I don't notice any difference at all. My friend even got lower fps by setting it to 2 cores. But it's worth a try. =) And the Q9550 is a DualCore processor so you don't need to change the affinity, since it already using only two cores. 2. Probably not, try my settings and see, I gained a few fps on every setting, and in the end I got about 20 more fps in average or so. The HD4890 is a really old card and probably is equivalent to my old GTX260 or something, which I switched out several years ago! Heck even the GTX570 I have now is 2 years old. I'd say, wait until the game gets optimized, in the meanwhile, save your money and buy a really good computer when you can afford it. Buying small upgrades isn't worth it. Most bang for the buck mid/high or high-end is the way to go! =)

You are sick because you throw up, just stop eating for a while and it will disappear. It will say sick at your inventory screen for a long while. If you are sick of an infection or water-poisoning you have to take the proper treatment, but DON'T over-consume antibiotics and charcoal tablets. Regarding the healing: Just drink and eat until it says you are full. Then drink some more, but stop when you recive the next message otherwise you will throw up. Then eat and drink everything you can find, do not wait for the "I'm thirsty" or "I'm hungry" messages to appear. After a wile it will say "healing" in the inventory screen, but don't stop eating or drinking, keep eating everything you find. Everything you eat and drink will go into your stomach then it gets transferred into your "energy-storage" which you can have a maximum of 20000 of. Stomach and Water is only 4000. Actually in games like these, bad graphics just helps, not only with the fps but also with the visibility. Setting the game to Very High results in more grass, the trees getting denser and motionblur/bloom, shadows etc, making it harder to spot someone. Just make sure your view distance is at the max range and use a "Long Range" sight on your mosin and not the "PU Scope". =)

If you have an Nvidia card, follow this picture i made for you. If you have an AMD, find the equivalent way to do it. You will get black borders on your screen by doing this, since you have a bigger monitor and a different aspect ratio than whats currently available in the game. But at least the game wont look squeezed. =) Personally I can't understand why you would want a screen with a 21:9 ratio, it's useless! Bring back the 16:10 screens!

If this does not make any difference, then I guess my computer and game is magical. Lucky me! =) Nothing in the cfgs change if you lock them.

Why would you want an expensive Intel when an AMD CPU does the job equally fine. And regarding overclocking, it wont damage your stuff if you do it right and don't overdo it. Most bang for the buck is the way to go, IMO. Buying the most popular stuff ain't good and will only lead to monopoly and expensive prices... Anyway, Intel isn't a definitive solution either since I have two friends with Intel i7's which also got terrible problems with FPS in DayZ. - Oh, didn't know that, no problems here so far. :D - Corsair H80, budget water-cooling, not to happy about it actually. I made a big mistake buying it, since it had to be installed at the only fan-slot available in the back of my case and therefore eliminating hot air to escape my case, so I had to remove the side-panel and go with an open case. I have almost no OC experience so I'm just guessing here, but I think the north bridge is getting to hot, passed 60'C pretty fast since I don't have a fan blowing fresh air at it's heatsink. When I got to 3,9GHz the audio began to stutter and the game crashed. Any tips? Btw, my CPU vCore gets increased automatically to fit the OC. Maby that's bad? :) Edit* Overclock success! I have now successfully overclocked my 1090T to 4GHz stable, I began the prime test before i wrote this post. The increase in FPS is HUGE! From 25-30fps in Cherno I now have 35fps minimum and 45fps peak, it tend to stay around 40fps. Just outside Cherno I get 40-50fps. <3 Haven't noticed any spikes yet which I usually get in Cherno, when the fps goes all the way down to 3fps. But I guess I was lucky. I tested on a 30/40 server, don't know if the population have any different on the fps tho. But I did notice that the area with the flats, NW of Cherno have a bigger impact on your FPS than Cherno. Edit*2 After further testing I can confirm that servers have a big impact on your fps, even if you switch between servers that have the same amount of players online.

I get: 25-30fps in cherno. 50-100+fps in wilderness, depending on angle of the camera. Computer: CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1090T @ 3,2GHz (3,6GHz at load), 6 Cores. Normal clocks. GPU: Gainward GTX570, 1280MB VRAM. Normal clocks. RAM: 8GB, Normal clocks. HDD: Mechanical, 7200RPM This is my settings outside the game: Important: The changes to the Dayz.exe have to be done with every restart of the game... Task-manager -> Processes -> DayZ.exe, rightclick, "Set Affinity" (sets how many cores the game is allowed to use), Set it to 2 Cores. This will improve your fps with 5-10FPS depending on your specific CPU. If you use less then 2 or more than 2 you will get an loss of FPS. In other words, DayZ won't make use of more than 2 cores. Task-manager -> Processes -> DayZ.exe, rightclick, "Set priority, High". Remember to protect your cfg's by putting "Read-Only" in it's properties after you have made these changes. (Rightclick, Properties, General, Attributes, Check "Read-Only". Otherwise the game will overwrite some of the values with every restart of the game! Got to 3,8Ghz, but when I got to 3,9GHz my northbridge said no, temperature wise. Have to look over my cooling before I go further. The CPU never got over 50'C in 100% load tho.

Voted for the extremely rare option, I don't want this to be another COD clone. People say they want this to be a realistic game, and I know the devs want it, but it's not when everybody have an M4A1 with 200 bullets or an sniperrifle within 30 minutes :P I do realize that the weapons and ammo spawn-rate is increased now in the alfa, for testing purpose, but hey, you understand what I mean right? :)

Cherno or Electro is empty on pretty much every server nowdays, Zeleno is packed tho! ;D Always think on what would be the best, in other words, drink from a well, go north, pref, Zeleno, then do the dumbest thing instead. Works for me. However, Balota and the south airfield are packed too.

Repair? The screen is supposed to go black/white as an indication on that you actually has lost or are loosing blood. If you are really low on blood, the screen can become blurry also. Works as intended.

Word! They are never satisfied!

Where have people read that rocket will have another patch out before christmas? Is there patch-notes available?

The problem isn't that there are to many weapons and ammo, maby a little, but the real problem is the serverhoppers.

Euhm, the wells or "ponds" are safe for sure, at least for now. Every time when I start a new character i run straight to a well, drink from it about 30 times until it says my stomach is full... Then I just have to worry about food for a wile. I repeat the process every time I'm at a well, hardly ever use my canteens. Bug or not, you DON'T have to purify water from wells in the current patch.
