    hey this is Russell Grier

*tries to read* "Rye-lye waus heer?" Sorry but no one here can help you execpt to point you to one of the sticky threads telling you what to do when your banned. Although it pretty much sounds like your lieing to us about 'just buying the game' and being banned for no reason. Contact Battle Eye and take it up with them.

    Player decisions: Unlocking new Content

A lot of information here to process, but I like where your going. Group efforts (or a highly determined lone wolf) would be pretty awesome for large tasks. as an example: Say they add in a partly sunken ship (aircraft carrier, destroyer, freighter, whatever, but for the example I will be using the aircraft carrier). The carrier is listing at a angle (45 degrees or greater, even maybe 90 degrees and on its side), run aground on a sandbar/shallows/reef and immobile. Any entry points on the flightdeck/side would be so small that it'd be impossible to land/insert with a helicopter/parachute without falling off into the water or dying. Only entry points would be at water level so you'd have to go in with a boat or swim. Once the players are inside they'll have to use a tool (toolbox or some yet to be added item, blowtorch or some such) to open up a hatch, fight off the zombies inside (not sure if itd be possible to have them not respawn with SA's system, but make it so they don't respawn on the ship when killed until a restart) and clear bulkhead to bulkhead, with the occasional zombie dropping down from above. There would be many 'dead ends' and side passages, with some areas to loot (low quality stuff). The main 'high loot' areas would be flooded/otherwise inaccessible without teamwork or a lot of bootwork. For example, Maintenance hanger, this large room would be in a submerged part of the ship, to access it you'd have to find the hull breach, block it off (scrap metal and welding equipment), find a backup generator and fuel it up, bring some bilge pumps to hanger, and wait/hold off zombies attracted to the noise of the pumps and generators as the pumps do their work and/or break down occasionally needing to be reactivated on another deck. (This would take maybe an hour for the water to drain) when the water drains (or mostly drains) the players have access to the maintenance hanger which WILL (100% chance of spawning) have say 5 Main Rotors, 20 Engine Parts, 40 Tires, ect ect, along with some rare clothing (pilot/mechanic jumpsuits, ect). In this theme the 'High Value' rooms Id have would be Galley (High Quantity of food) Sickbay (Lots and lots of meds) Maintenance (Parts) Armory (Military grade weapons and ammo, ((ones that make sense to be on a ship, SMGs, Assault Rifles, pistols, machine guns. NO sniper rifles)). This would really only be worth doing though if boats had a cargo capacity, but this is an example of something that could be done. Another room would be a Hanger just bellow the flight deck with one intact (but needing repairs) heavy helicopter (Chinook/Seahawk something along thouse lines) at such an angle that it can fly out (with a skilled pilot without crashing). But in order to fly it out you not only have to gain access to the maintainace hanger, but have to restore power to the sub-flightdeck so you can lower the Aircraft elevator and fly the helicopter out of the newly opened hole with all the gear you and your group just aquired. Whew. perhaps thats a bit to epic of a task for DayZ since I need to turn off my brain now.

Chance to go crazy if Z hits the player

Aside from this sounding like 'players getting infected', it'd be a bit to hard to implement This is months/years after the outbreak, so we're 'used' to the zombies by now. Our reactions would be within our control. I round a corner and see a horde, I say 'fuck' and go back around the corner and try to look for a place to hide. The 'crazy' reaction is what you the player is experiencing I don't 'shit myself' when I see zombies, but I'm usually a little more on edge than normal if I'm trying to stealth around. I remain cool and somewhat calm, and try to calculate things out, 'okay that zombie is going to cross the road, Ill wait here for him to pass then crawl into this yard and check that house.' If my avi just starts screaming his head off and running on his own, its gonna ruin the game for me or I'm gonna cry 'hacker'.

    Treasure and Money

*smells a Necromancer* The only 'good' money suggestion I've seen is money as more of an item than a currency, like throwing a handful of change to distract a zombie, or using a bill to quietly get a soda out of a vending machine. Wiping your ass with paper money or using it to start fires.

Urban Dead - An example for a good Zombie MMO

Really? Because it kinda sounds like one? And your basically suggesting that they borrow/'steal' things from another game rather than make their own, am I right?

    Complex car wrecks

I like the idea, I know their working on making damage on cars more realistic (or rather it shows up better, like side swiping a telephone pole will show the door as being damaged and dented, rather than the side of your car looking like it was shot at). Have no idea what the physics engine in Standalone will be like but if this is possible it would be welcome.

    DayZ Standalone Pre-order

MULTIQUOTE MOTHAFUCKA, DO YOU KNOW HOW TO USE IT?!! /samjackson First, 9/10 of your 'suggestion' post are for something overpowered. Second, a suggestion is different than hiring a bunch of people to work on something. I'd tell you what the phrase 'Too many cooks...' means but you'd probably call me a faggot, brony, girl on her period or some other attempt at a derogatory statement because I'm not stroking your epeen and it'd go over your head.

Suggestion - Coming back as zombie (please read)

From your own topic on the exact same subject.
  14. There's a difference between having an infection an THE Infection. Rocket has confirmed, all survivors are IMMUNE, All Survivors are IMMUNE, ALL SURVIVORS ARE IMMUNE. The infection we occasionally get and the infections Rocket talks about players getting are the kinda things that come around due to poor hygiene, since the 'Zombies' aren't very concerned with brushing, being bitten would result in an nasty infection (the human mouth is loaded with bacteria on a good day) but not the 'zombie virus'. Congrats you just got HIV, smallpox, and strep from being bitten, time to go get some penicillin.
  15. Hear me brothers and sisters! We have neglected praise for the Gods of the almighty Loot! We have forsaken them, and In our time of need, when the Dark Ones cursed our race with the Infection of Anger and Stupidity, they had taken away our Antibiotics! We curse them further and they weep, their sorrow rusting away many of the vehicles we once had! We curse them again, and turn further away, turning to the Blood Gods and the God of Plunder! Killing our own brethren just for a simple can of beans. Further still we devolve to servants of the Blood Gods, killing for no other reason than to sate their thirst or amuse them! But I have seen, oh yes. I. HAVE. SEEN! In a moment of great hardship I bent knee and prayed to these forsaken and forgotten gods. Surrounded by the children of the Dark Ones, unarmed and alone, they provided me my SALVATION! After slaying the beasts that were once us I cried to the skies and thanked my saviors. Again I found myself in need, and the Gods of Loot provided in their strange way. They provided an abundance of tools and, perhaps not by chance, thous lacking tools had crossed my path. Had it not been for the gift from the gods I may have very well be sacrificed to the Blood Gods. These are just two examples of the many gifts and blessings of the Loot Gods. I'm sure you will have your own, and I have made it my mission, nay, my DUTY to make thous of us fortunate enough to avoid the curse of the Dark Ones, and perhaps convert a few followers of the God of Plunder to once again belive in the Gods of Loot! You can help now by constructing shrines in their honor and praise them. When you come across an abundance, erect an shrine in an easy to access location and leave the abundance within it. Others in need will be blessed by your kindness and in turn will perform their own. The Blood Gods and their servants will block us at every turn, loot the shrines and destroy them with their Urals, or even set up false shrines in order to lure us to our deaths. Fear not, we will be rewarded in the end. When the Promised Time of the Standalone comes, I shall construct Temples to the Loot Gods' honor and maintain it against the Dark Ones' Cursed, the followers of the Plunder God, and the Servants of the Blood Gods.

Suggestion - Coming back as zombie (please read)

Rocket has stated that the 'zombies' aren't really dead, they're just 'rabid' (think 28 days later, or a tweaking meth addict). Which is why you can take one out without destroying the head/brain. As stated before, we (the survivors) are immune from the virus (otherwise we'd be zombies). So this is pretty much confirmed as a no, both that we will never be able to 'play' as zombies, and player's bodies will not reanimate.

What would you do if this happened to you?

I'd just leave and find a better server, if the Admin spawns shit for his friends, what else is he gonna do? Asshole could probably even get you a global ban by saying YOU hacked the vehicle and modding his logs to submit to BE. I lost a good server once because of an asshat admin, this one asshole shot me when I went to help him then started bragging about his AS50 TWS, everyone asked how he got that and said 'heh, its good to be friends with the admin' which was followed literally a second later by Banned by Admin (only made the server better in my opinion). Then a couple days later, someone who was made an admin less than 12 hours prior had unbanned the douche bag and gave some piss ass excuse about 'hes my buddy, he said once he dies he wont pick the gun back up again, dont be butthurt bro' Im on Balota Buddies now, might be full of bandits and snipers but at least I don't have to worry about hackers or 'players with perks'.

    Suggestion (suicide)

I'm conflicted, adding a visible suicide animation to the game would probably get a lot of the Censors fully erect and get the Banhammer to fall on SA in several countries. But I would like the option in. I'm in agreement with many that there are no bad spawns in DayZ, but far to many people feed themselves to zombies simply because they spawned far from where all their 'epic loot' is or for some reason or another don't like Kamenka. If they do add it it should be as grisly as possible, it should mentally scar the player seeing his little avatar put a makarov to his skull, sticking the barrel of his AK into his mouth and taking his boot off so he can pull the trigger with his toe, hesitating as s/he drags the hunting knife across their arm/throat. The player should fear having to kill themselves, not just 'meh, fucking kamenka *BLAM* FUCK Kamenka Again! *slice* Great, the WEST side of Kamenka! *BLAM* The Suicide option should only be available if you have a gun or knife (and at least one bullet) or even a grenade (though you could do that now technically...).

    Fishing (and rivers)

Been suggested many times before, (dont have a link but one topic in particualr was very well done that included fishing and hunting) ON a slightly off topic note, You just reminded me of a trailer I saw (and cant unsee) for a Japanese horror movie that played at last years Hawaii International Film Festival that involved Evil Sushi or some variation of that idea. I will NOT be providing a link or any further information on this movie (you can thank me for that if you wish)

hokay so i just had an idea

While yes, it doesn't make much sense that nearly all the cars in Chenarus were destroyed, keep in mind this is a mod of a game, so they had to work with the limited tools the game had, and if they had a say 10 working/repairable cars in each village they would lose their value quickly. While it would be nice if more cars were in repairable condition normally, remember Chenarus is a ex Soviet backwater. I mean for god's sake, its railway is a signal track mainline with no Yard other than a few industrial hubs and ends as a branch line in Berezino rather than carry onto (what I assume) is the bordering country to the north east.

Sounds like you need a new server.

    Peripheral dots.

Well if thats the case then I'm definitely all for having dots permenatly removed now. I thought it was just a pain in the ass when it was just vehicles that you could see, seeing a player's dot while going 200mph in a huey is just totally unfair.
  23. IkaikaKekai

    Peripheral dots.

I thought you couldn't see players with dots before they removed them? Unless they were in a vehicle.

    About Dayz Standalone

He is talking about purchasing the Standalone. I would imagine he probably bought a physical copy of Arma2 and OA from a store.
  25. IkaikaKekai

    Peripheral dots.

I'm kinda sad to see the dots go, but do think they do need to go. When I can spot a vehicle or animal from the other side of a mountain it kinda makes it too powerful. And don't tell me that its not precise I can track an animal much more easily just by turning my head to the side and lining up my body with the dot. And as I said before, the range is a bit too far, from the other side of a mountain I can see dots all over and their aprox distance.
