So...you want them to add in a game mechanic that would only do something in fairly rare situations where two people are logging in/out at the same time or dying/logging out at the same time? Now that I've had some sleep I'm going to be a bit more polite. What made you think this would add anything to the game? I mean as rare as the situation you're talking about would be it would be completely unfair. Just think of how bad this would be with the combat loggers we currently have. Guy combat logs, some poor noob logs in at the same time, gets destroyed before his first loading screen is done and some error occurs. Standalone is going to be about personalization, hence why we're going to have different sets of clothing rather than just be a bunch of guys wearing jeans, longsleave shirts, vests, and baseball caps.

If you were playing Vanilla DayZ on Chenarus then more than likely the radio was hacked in. They had them a while ago but from my understanding they didn't do anything/much so they just removed them. While possible it's highly unlikely you found and killed someone who either had the radio for a very long time or was someone in a long chain of people who picked up a real radio from the last person who had it.

Okay...so if I'm understanding you correctly, which I'm having some difficulty believing...you want all the player slots to spawn in at the start of a server as NPCs. And as players join in to a server the NPCs will be randomly taken over by a player. And as they logged out their char would become an NPC again? Is this correct? I'm sorry to use such blunt terms, harsh language, and shit on your idea, which might actually be a good idea for some other game and genre, but this is just stupid for DayZ. I mean yes, most of us agree that the first and second rules of DayZ are: don't get attached to your gear...but still this is just stupid on multiple levels. First, what supercomputer do you think Bohemia has that they can run this clusterfuck on? Second, assuming Rocket has a massive brain aneurysm and thinks this is a good idea and starts working on it, how long do you think this will take them to program it just to get them back to the stage they are at now? Third, this would just suck, not knowing if your going to log into some random poor bastard thats infected, down to 300 health, bleeding and surrounded by zombies with no equipment, or if you managed to win the Powerball and log into Superking Badass McDualwieldingM107s fully decked out in gear and guns. Fourth, while I might just be a noob to Arma2, the AI (at least when I play) is bordering on Moronic and at the same time highly unforgiving and accurate. Whats to stop all these NPC survivors form just wiping out all the zombies or each other without themselves being wiped out by the zombies? Fifth, what happens when all the NPCs are killed? Does the server just reboot or does it add in some new NPCs as they get killed? Nope, read patch notes, this was put in a while ago. Zombies can (after a little bit) break windows on vehicles, hit players in vehicles that are missing windows, and even pull players out of vehicles missing windows.

If you don't have any hacks installed and haven't downloaded anything shady (the old FPS booster scam) then there's not really anything you can do other than put in a Ban Appeal on this forum or on the Server you were banned from's forum and/or find another server. I know very little about the hacks myself or how they work, so hopefully one of the more knowledgeable people on this forum on the subject can help you further.

In case your serous and not bullshitting us, ESP is a hack program used by filthy script kiddies to locate players and tents. From what I've seen it shows their location on maps, shows way points with their general locations and distances, ect ect.

I would say actually have the seasons match Real Life. IE the public hive will transition to the winter map sometime in late November and stay till spring rolls around.

1) From my understanding this will be/has been improved. Zombies will run indoors now. They won't just forget about you if you go behind a bush, they'll keep hunting you down for a while. 2) This would require a lot of work and would probably get the game banned in a few countries with overly protective censors. 3) Hordes are something Rocket wants to get around to eventually.

Second, I was thinking of something like this, where you can turn the car into a trap/safety device. Child Locks come to mind as a simple part, as well as installing a bulletproof screen between the front and rear seats. Been suggested before, not really pheasable with the engine, they would have to make at least 3 additional maps for each season as well as make some HEAVY modifications to the weather system in game.

Technically Zombies were people who were given a 'false death' powder, buried alive, then dug up by the witch-doctor, given the antidote and enslaved. Sometimes brain damage would occur from being berried alive. Of course a 'palour trick' (I use that word lightly and do not mean to offend any practitioners since it's hardly a simple trick) doesn't quite say 'don't fuck with me' as much as raising the dead, so they spread false rumors and stories about how they killed the person with a curse, then bought them back to life as a slave. Zombie has pretty much evolved to an umbrella term to range from everything to a dead person brought back to life via magic/science/disease to people who 'act like zombies'. FUNFACT! George Romero actually used the term Ghoul for his Zombies on Night of the Living Dead.

Those are still two very different games than DayZ/Arma2. I mean you might as well be comparing DayZ to Microsoft Flight or Train Simulator. DayZ has many things to calculate where something like Dead Rising just has a few, so it can denote more resources to having more zombies. I honestly don't like the idea of 'walker only' zombies. Maybe add in a new 'type' that can only walk/crawl, but if it spots you it alerts the other zombies. To be honest, zombies should be feared more than players, not just something that's a minor annoyance during a PVP fest. If I can just walk through a town with a baseball bat, swing away and kill 20 zombies without being touched, it's not gonna be fun, in fact I'm gonna question how humanity fell to such slow moving gimps. We have to remember, these are not Undead, these are living, rabid animals that were once human. If I just want a zombie slaughtering simulation, I'll go find a copy of Dead Rising and play that.

That's sort of the point. We're not really talking about bases so much as barricading a home and using it for yourself. Any lock can be picked/broken, any wall can be scaled or felled, any door can be breached, its just a question of time and resources. I think that if this was implemented there should be ways to 'claim' someone's base/house, but not just some simple thing like being inside or breaking in. Even if they do add this (which I doubt) there will always be a time when you come back to your house, find the front door open and most of your valuables gone, should be one of the risks of choosing to fortify a home rather than go live out in the woods in tents.

Alright, did not know about that, just did a quick check and it says (Official) in its name. Also says NO PVP FRIENDLY, not sure if that's against the rules or not but there ya go.

BAF and PMC make textures associated with those two games show up more 'high res'. For example, without BAF the Military offroad is kinda blurry in its textures and the Survivor model is a bit more 'high def' if you have PMC, other than that don't think they 'add' anything to DayZ.

Find a better server.

Would also be an indicator that the building is 'claimed'. Provide a bit of defense against someone just throwing a grenade or unloading a LMG into the window. Lessen some of the light leaking out at night (If there is light) and thereby attract less zombies. Provide a small amount of cover to shoot out of the window. Ect ect ect.
