Well if you want hot brass on your cheek every time you shoot lefty that's fine. Yes they do make left handed guns and conversion kits, but that's a very small minority. Some things it won't really mater (break action shotgun), but your standard AK/AR15 will eject the brass on the right side.

Well the basically took the topographical map from somewhere in the Czech republic (actually half of a map, the coastline of Chernarus is actually a river on the real life counterpart. FOUND IT! https://maps.google.de/?ie=UTF8&t=h&ll=50.678785,14.15657&spn=0.024121,0.054202&z=15) They did take a lot of the town layouts and such from the real life maps (the Dev team went on a roadtrip to 'real' Chernarus and got a lot of detail inspiration). But it's not an exact copy and paste sort of thing (when they develop that technology, please make a DayZ Oahu map, I want to practice for...unrelated events).

They could 'convert' one of the castles or add another to act as the prison, sort of like Colditz. There's a lot of farm land as well and where they place it would really depend on what type of prison it'll be (modern, semi modern, still active gulag, ect). Then again there's always...Green Mountain. *lighting and thunder* Or rather under Green Mountain.

Now that I've thought about it I think there should actually be an abundance of cars, but a rarity of parts. In theory you COULD repair every vehicle on the server, but it'd be easier to just find a car you like and scavenge from the other cars to repair it to working condition. IE you have a working car but 3 of the doors are shot up and the hood is missing, making your car slightly slower and louder. You drive your skoda next to another that's in a ditch, flat tires, punctured radiator, ect, but the hood and doors are intact so you take thous off of the other car and use it to fix up your Skoda.

Probably up north somewhere. A lot of the buildings and towns haven't been 'added', but it obvious that they're going to be up there. That or they would have to edit an existing town and put it in. Though with the military camp at Stary Sobor gone they have some room to play with in that town alone. Though it would make more sense for a large prison to be near a large town unless its a 'brand new' prison. Do you know if they scrapped the idea of the prison itself or just the idea of putting it on an island?

Think of it this way...Some loser is paying at least $60 a month to rent a server just so he and his friends can gear up in a game where they'll probably lose it when they go to another sever or when they get sniped. Not only that but he's vulnerable to having his server revoked without a refund when/if he's caught.

I honestly think there should be a 'medium' number of vehicles on a server (not including bikes, there should be at least as many bikes as there are players on a server all scattered around). So like 5 : 1 player vehicle ratio.

Players are Immune to the zombie virus. Also this isn't the normal 'dead people' zombies, these are 28 days later zombies that are alive, just rabid. Dead is dead, which is why two shots to the chest will kill a zombie same as it will with a player. Dean has said several times there will be no player zombies, not even players coming back as NPC zombies. -
Ha...Ha...HAHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHHAHHAHAAA...HA...hah..cant breath. Okay, let me put it this way, unless they get a crew working on DayZ:PS right NOW it won't be out at the 'same time' as full release. There was reasons Rocket gave for not going to XBL, one of them was that they would have to pay for updates to the game. Yes the increased sales may have accelerated a few timelines, but I don't see console development as one of them.

They actually sell 'modern' black powder rifles, here in Hawaii you can buy them without a gun license. I'm all for more (civilian) guns. I can see a few non pvpers like myself using the 'low end' guns and black powder rifles simply because the rarer military weapons will be more sought after. I mean hell if I can make my own ammo out of junk all the better.

Don't think we should 'limit' the range of weapons other than whats realistic, bullet drop wise anyway. If you can see your target and make the proper adjustments to hit your target, you should be able to (and I do mean if it's able to, IE a .22 LR won't be a kill shot at a mile away) That in mind, I think a lot of the long range anti mat guns should be kept out or severely limited in number.

It's the rule of threes for survival, 3 minuets without air, 3 hours without shelter, 3 days without water, 3 weeks/months without food. It would be nice for that to happen but considering the average lifespan is something like 3 hours... -
Cellphone networks are local, meaning there's a transmission tower somewhere that has to be powered. So even if you had an alternate means of charging your phone battery it would be no network. Most land based phone companies are required to transmit power through their phone lines to power phones. Even if power and phone lines were untouched post Z Day there'd still be no power to power the phones in any capacity.

Not quite sure what Key Branding is, but from recent readings this is similar to what rocket wants aside from the underground building he wants to eventually do. IE we board up windows and doors and claim a building as ours. If a building is 'claimed' it won't spawn in any loot or zombies until it's 'lost' (barricades destroyed), and the storage items inside become usable and some can be crafted (shelf, wardrobes, ect). I think that if we're able to do that we shouldn't be able to 'claim' certain buildings (IE no claiming of hospitals or barracks/military spawns).

No electricity, no phone network (land line or cell phone). I don't really see a point to this anyway. I mean you could maybe do a couple 'fun' things with it (Find a cellphone, find the number to a payphone, set up on a hill with a rifle and call the number every time someone passes by and snipe them when they answer) but it'd be a bit of work for minimum reward. Think the radios as they want them to be would be the better thing to work on.

Rocket mentioned them briefly in one of his Twitch streams, just that they weren't working right (think he said either the range or the spread).
