Suggested before, still a good idea. IDK how small of the animals we're going to get (I saw a demo of a mouse with the engine so...) but I hope we can set up Squirrel snare posts.

A wet/dry suit, that water's fucking cold. I can't really think of any 'loot' in the ocean I'd use if I found it (unless it was literally just thrown into the water like less than an hour ago) other than spearing fish or crab/lobster traps.

Yes, a few suggestions are enacted. Not all but a few, keep in mind not all the suggestions are gems, and a few are already planned features that someone who doesn't know suggests as if it's never been thought of before. Then there's the ones that usually get sent to the graveyard (Rape (or any sort of intercourse), Marriage, Children, banning anyone under 18 from playing using some magical 'never fail' test, and the other non-suggestions such as 'FIX THE GAME NOOBS!') That's not even counting all the things have have already been suggested before, over and over again, (Weather, Trains) and the same suggestions that are confirmed as 'No's (player zombies, npcs, safezones, ect)

Not gonna happen. Been confirmed many times by Rocket. From the Lore side, Dead is Dead. You don't get shot in the heart, get up and walk around to go bite someone. The zombies we have are alive, and the players are the only humans left in the world that are immune (also the reason there won't be NPCs in Vanilla standalone). From the Tech Side, it would cause a shit ton of lag and other problems, call it lazy if you want. Right now zombies are very simple things model wise. One layer forms the clothing and skin, and there's no accessory layers to complicate things. Players are many layers, skin, each item of clothing, backpacks, holsters, ect. Considering how often people die, and how few restarts there's going to be there would be lots of high poly count zombies that each need a lot of information, whats in their bags, whats their clothing conditions, what weapons do they have, how many bullets, was their leg broken, ect.

I'd like it to be how WoW did (at least when I last played...I don't do Crack anymore) where you sit down and you get the timer, you can either 'log out now' or wait the 30 seconds. I still think you shouldn't be able to move/shoot while logging out, but quickly cancel the log out and get to work.

I'd rather see ('empty container' + fuel) + rag = Molotov, rather than something chincy like alcohol tincture + rag = Molotov, the tincture is a rather small bottle, and when infections are added, will be more useful for something other than say setting someone on fire or forcing a slow death on a newspawn. Also there's no real fire mechanic in the game, so you'd just have an impact grenade that maybe does a 'dot' such as bleeding. I'm kinda sick of 'any bottle of booze' + rag = molotov. Granted a lot of stuff will burn and stay burning (best guess is 80 proof or stronger, or 40% abv) but not everything. When I was training to be a bartender, any flaming drinks had to have a splash of 151 Rum added to them because they were usually weren't over 40% total ABV (adding the different liquors and mixes and what not). Granted the alcohol tincture is probably composed of rubbing alcohol so it's around 90% abv or more (my guess).

Would be nice if they could set it up like a real GPS, IE if you leave the default settings on it pins your location and saves it to memory every 10-15 mins. That way you could find someone's base using their GPS.

Castles used to be big time bandit bases in the mod, Im sure when barricading and such are added they will be again.

In before Graveyard. Also you could simply take off the gloves and get your preferred skin color back. It's not like gloves (or skin color for that mater) makes a difference in this game other than some perception about camouflage or 'style' (at least for now, they might add something that makes gloves valuable, as for skin color, I highly doubt that).

I do not have enough beans to give you sir. Useless/shitty crafting should be a thing, I've heard of the binocs scope idea, but not the 'home made' RDS. True 'THE GOGGLES! THEY DO NOTHING!' moments should be added to the game. Damn, now I want to try and come up with a few stupid crafting ideas...where's Gews when you need him? 'Make gernade launcher with empty cans and bullets'. EDIT Something I remeber from watching History Channel (forget the exact show but it was one of the educational ones like Modern Marvels) A group of soldiers broke into the infirmary and stole some rubbing alcohol, then stole a bunch of fruits from the messhall thinking they could make wine with all of it. So maybe something along the lines of Alcohol tincture + Fruit (rotten/fresh) = 'Booze' I know that later on they want to make it so we can 'sabotage' items, such as put feces in a tin can, add tomato paste and water and make 'beans' (don't think that was the exact 'recipe' but that was the gyst of it). That would be akin to things like 'oh yeah, zombies totally wont aggro you if you cover your clothes in guts', except they will, and you'd probably get a higher chance of getting one or more infections.

@rocket2guns is his twitter, that'd be starting from the top but I don't really know if that's a good way to contact him or not. I'm sure any public email he might have will have been spammed to death. Rocket usually posts on the DayZ redit (I know nothing about Redit so I have no link there). Gonna PM a Mod here and see if they can get you in contact with someone on the Dev Team.

I'll just leave this here... http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/182275-dayz-at-rezzed-2014-dev-sessions-livestream-roadmap/ I tried that once. Figured more money more speed, so I put in a bunch of pennies. Turned on the test computer...and well after HFD was finished putting out the fire I had a large copper ingot where the test computer was.

Vehicles confirmed? Yes. Next patch? No. Well not unless they aren't going to do ANY patches until they get vehicles ready. Which is highly unlikely.

I'd like to see this, as well as more items actually showing up on your person when in your inventory. Lantern looped through your belt, clipped to a jacket, or hanging off your pack (depending on where you have it) A flashlight sticking out of your pocket, butt of a handgun visible. Say I find a V mask, can't don't want to wear it under my helmet, so I put it in my pants inventory, I'll have a V mask strapped to a pantsleg or something, have it in my jacket it'll be strapped to my arm. Rocket said a long time ago he would want things like that in.

Basicly as said already, from what the first few responders reaction was it almost sounded like they thought the Dev Team approached you about adding your sights to the game. I wanted to get clarification on that. I don't know Rocket or any BIS staff emails off hand (I'm sure they're probably somewhere on this very forum, but not really worth hunting down ATM). You have some good looking sights (If I buy a Mosin I'll look you up to see if you ship to Hawaii) I just thought it was somewhat suspicious that someone would ask you to post your product here (where most people who do 'suggestions' will often just post pictures of what they want) I'd also like to ask if you have a website? *EDIT* and like an idiot I see the URL on the pictures after I hit post... Agreed.

Did you get contacted by the Devs (Rocket and BIS) or someone from the modding community? While it'd be cool if the Devs contacted you for permission, I don't think they would have said to just post pictures of your work on here (they rarely use the Forums as their primary anymore). If it was someone wanting to mod the game, it's a bit too early for that to happen, modding support won't be in a for a while, and you can't legitly edit game files yet. That's for Standalone at least, and I don't think there's a mosin in the mod(s). Still would be cool to have something more than Soviet surplus as attachments.

They've confirmed fridges (and quite a bit of what you suggested in other posts) and possibly cabinets/container 'furniture. After they get the 'prototype' done it shouldn't be too hard for them to turn different models into containers.

You'd hear a lot of 'Walk a-way. Just Walk A-Way." from me.

Running speed depending on clothing and equipment
IkaikaKekai replied to degude's topic in Suggestions
Pretty sure that's the plan, been suggested before but just about everything has. -
You stay online for at least 30 seconds after you disconnect/crash, so a zombie or player could have killed you. You could have also logged onto a Hardcore server when you were playing on a regular server, or vise versa. Rejoin the server you were playing on and see if you get your stuff back, otherwise there's no way to get your stuff back.

Sorry to say you are pretty much SOL on the Key. Since it was stolen they won't unban it, and pretty sure they wont give you a new one either. Not to sound like a dick but you might have more time to work/save up for that house...also your posted in the wrong subforum. *EDIT* IF you really want to play the mod again, there's steps you can do to remove the key from your account and purchase a new one on Steam or some other such service. Best bet would be to wait till it's on sale though.

Which is why I only use it for night looting and night zombie killing. In real life people use the headlamps to see directly in front of them when they walk at night (usually outdoors in rougher terrain) or to look at what they're working on up close. Would be nice if we could adjust the headlamp more (You can a little by not having a flashlight equipped and having your weapon lowered, but still that only like 6-7 meters ahead if that)

Why do I have to use specific game hosting companies?
IkaikaKekai replied to sea's topic in Suggestions
They were not released, they were Cracked/Hacked. They don't release the files in an attempt to keep less scrupulous people from saying they're downloading them for a server, and then just studying the files to look for vulnerabilities to build better hacks. We might get the server files when private hives become legally available, we might not until modding and the like is supported. -
Might want to snip that last little part off of your OS specs...I think it was said that Crossfire/SLI is not utilized by DayZ/Arma (at least not yet), you've already got it so it won't matter much unless/until they add it in. Maybe more memory might be in order, but far as I can tell the Arma games utilize the CPU more than anything else.
