I'm pretty sure Admins will be able to ban and set up a white list, aside from that I don't think they'll be able to do much that a public server admin can't do, so I doubt things like time acceleration will be in. The wording about player slots on private shards was 'they must have the same amount as public servers, so currently that's 40 slots. For price? No clue, I'd say at least the same as public servers are currently. I'd search for and post the link to the post that has shows the info that's already available but I'm tired and about to go to bed.

Something I'd like to suggest for vehicles is being able to shift gears and use the parking break, or actually needing to do so. IE you could park at the top of a hill, gas the engine a little to get you moving downhill and turn off the engine and silently coast down to the bottom of the hill and keep rolling till gravity takes it's toll. Or alternately put a vehicle in drive and it'll keep going forward at about 10-15MPH. Could do this to recreate the 'Ambush' scene from Super Troopers (since DayZ already has a history of people hiding in the trunk of cars :P) EDIT I also suggest this so we actually have variable speeds, not just full speed and stop. While I mastered taking the Bus through Vybor at high speed while being shot at with AS50s I'd much rather be able to go slow without having to keep tapping W and S at different intervals (don't have a throttle... :( )

Game Breaking means that the game is LITERALLY unplayable. You can still play even with these 'cheaters'. The problem in that respect is with the player and not the game. There would be no fair way to 'solve' this 'problem'. If the only way they can PVP is with an AKM decked to the gills and a pack full of drum clips they're only hurting themselves in the long run. It does not count as cheating, at worst it's poor sportsmanship or being lazy. Hacking yourself a fully kitted M4 and infinite Ammo is cheating. Duping gear so you and your buddies have 20 tents full of Guns and Body Armor to run back to when you die is cheating. Cheating does not break the game. It's annoying yes, but the game as a whole still functions. Running around an airfield on an un/underpopulated server to get the 'best' gear then going to a nearly full server to PVP is a dick move, game still functions, the world still turns. Man/Woman up, stick to your morals and continue to play fair, or take the easy way out and play like a dick.

I don't think you know what 'Game Breaking' means. Game breaking would be something like weapons not working at all, falling through terrain constantly to your death, or zombies and players being invisible. Or even more apt, unexplained and and unavoidable CTD bugs.

I like the idea of restraining zombies, but 'leashing' or tethering is something that usually winds up buggy as fuck in a lot of games. If it could work it would be a good idea. Zombies guarding your farm or base, or even using zombies to attack someone's base ala Walking Dead. Load em up in a truck and push em out the back after cutting their hands free.

Well I think one of the most recently released static vehicle wrecks was a VS3 and the hood itself could lift up along with all the doors. Bikes will be the first vehicle they'll come out with but that doesn't' mean they don't have the models/art done. It's easy to make a model (weapon, vehicle, building, clothing) getting it to work is the hard part. How many weapons/items haven't been released because they don't have animations/sounds or the intended effects? Certain items were released before they had a use (pliers, rope, wrench) but that was mostly so every building wouldn't be overloaded with food and weapons.

It's been confirmed, they are living infected. People often seam to forget this and that Zombie is an umbrella term. From a psychological view it's easier to see them as the undead. They're a danger to your survival, not someone's son or daughter or a mother or father. Just simple husks that are out to get you. Infected implies a cure, or at the very least a treatment. 'What happens if I kill this person and they make a cure?' Granted we're too far past that point and the only 'cure' is death. While you could even strangle an infected to death as opposed to an undead, this leads to dangerous thinking. 'Headshots only' hopefully leads to trigger discipline even if only in your own mind. Even in traditional zombie movies/shows/games there's this fallacy, 'maybe we can cure them?'. How do you cure someone who's missing half their face, 3/4ths of their small intestines and all of their large intestines?

The fact that it's pretty much surrounded by military spawns and by the time I would get to it I'd be pretty good on gear and food anyway. I just miss spawning there from the mod because people would pass it over thinking it was a shit spawn and would usually jump off the railroad bridge/lighthouse.

So I take it this means NEAF is gonna be the new civil airfield. Would have preferred Balota being the civil airport and getting the old coast spawns back...I miss Kamenka...

Eventually they'll have a use, but right now like silencers, they're just in the game. This would most likely be a way to protect yourself against infectious diseases in certain areas when they are added. IE clomping around a mass grave or near bodies.

Usually the first thing you should do when you have issues with a steam game. can save ya a reinstall and other bullshit. Next would be 'have you turned it on and off?'

Floor Glitch. Well known by most. The server suddenly thought you didn't have a floor under you and you took fall damage.

More lazyness than anything else. I usually play as a scavenger and wanted to set up a tent somewhere and gear it out (Tools, food, supplies). If I play I'm going to want to do that and will get discouraged knowning it's just gonna get wiped in less than a week. As I said I might try my hand at PVP. More than likely that.

Been avoiding playing because of the wipe, since I only play stable. Somewhat tempted to try my hand at PVP before that though just to get it out of my system.

Probably, things will be updated as things go along, I still barely know how to throw items and that was a couple patches ago.
