You should try binding your 'ESC' key with your eyes closed so it makes for an even bigger challenge just to get your menu up!

Be careful if you add a map marker, everyone with a map can both see and delete them. (you can have some good fun because of this!) If you want to put a hidden marker on the map, add it when you are in direct chat, this way no one can see or remove it. ;)

Double tap the key to keep them on-screen! EDIT: You can change the key bindings to what ever you want, if I remember rightly the GPS isn't already mapped.

Compass - degree numbers to small

The ACE mod had a good compass but it took up a lot of the screen, because of exactly what you are requesting. If you are pointing out enemies, calling them by degrees is pretty specific, you could be up to ten degrees out depending on where you are stood in relation to your team. You could remember where N/S/E/W are, which is pretty easy, then then just go by halves and quarters. Here are the numbers if you don't own a compass. -

Yeah, use this. The area has to be totally flat and void of trees and foliage within a 3x3m radius. Also, leaving your inventory open and walking forwards and clicking at the same time seems to help. Don't walk too far or the inventory menu will close.

Most servers don't turn on the option. I've only ever seen one or two that do.

4. Run to flare, scroll the mouse wheel, pick up flare 5. Start to walk 6. YOU ARE DEAD Careful when you're running with them, discard and replace with Chemlights ASAP. They're a lot safer to move with and don't attract any attention.

Yeah, the x2 and x4 speeds only work in Single player.. Would be interesting in MP.
