as i hate everything that goes against the "higher valuation of a dayz-life" i don't like the idea of just respawning at all, for the known reasons. So i think suicide should have some sort of negative effects, just to let you think twice about it, but right at the moment i'm not sure which ones :unsure:.. Maybe something associated with a humanity system...

point is, it is quite simply and fast to implement, so why not? more authenticity at no cost, at least at the most simple implementation.

well i don't think this will ever be implemented - classes is something which is, i guess, most unlikely to happen. i really would like you to invite you to read the thread i posted before (*edit: as well as its successor), which tries to provide a subtle approach to the whole thing as well, i also tried to provide some sort of Gedankenexperiment back then. -

but don't let us get too overhyped! we saw up to now some pics and very few things in detail. several things you mention here are also "just" assumptions. i don't really want ppl raising their expectation higher and higher because of every little piece they get a glimpse on. there were many many games with high expectations which then were not able to deliver. We saw some new areas and buildings, some interior as well. But there is much assuming and therefore being a fact going on right now. Well I count me in as well, but somehow feel the urge to say this right now. That said, i appreciate the information policy of dean and his team. they really try to keep everyone calm and try not to throw out facts and every so cool stuff. It is important that the devs themselves try to keep the community's feet down on the ground. And good surprises are a lot better than bad surprises.

many eastern european countries do not have such a defined structure in terms of their overall appearance of localities when it comes to smaller cities or towns. Meaning there is a house here, an apartement building there and inbetween is a free space completely left wild and seemingly beeing no ones property. At least that's what i've learned of some towns in Poland or Ukraine. Over time everything gets overgrown with all kind of bushes and grass. Litter starts to grow in piles and trails begin to form. i want to see right that! -

i do know this. it hits you especially hard, when you are not from one of these countries and you're not in the least used to it. Imagine a group of Erasmus students in Scandinavia and nobody likes to party anymore :o

i have quite some ideas. there were some (i think 3 to 4) nice threads debating about a smooth and very subtle "skill" system which had more the intenion to make a dayz life worthwhile and keep grinding on an absolute minimum, as some positive effects would cause negative effects in other disciplines....and there was actually a polla t some point, which i remember to be around 60-55% to 40-45% in favor of the "opposing forces", so quite some ppl seem to like the idea which we tried to deliver. for example: http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/118211-skill-system-in-dayz/page__hl__skill -

something that is not exactly the same as the OP. but does somebody know who bleeding will be visualized in SA? I think your clothing getting more and more blood stained over time and all soaking wet would be nicer to see as the fountain we are getting at the moment. -
