well in its quintessence it is not silly, but everthing around to recap is somehow silly if you were not involved. just imagine the trouble in the Palestine. what if the owner logs off for about a month? (well you could hack...but no, i do not accept this argument right now) that would also deal with the premise that you cannot freely set and build bases (as in Wasteland), and that could be one solution

so this all has swept some new members to dayzmod.com (maybe even directly from reddit), let us take this as a positive circumstance that came along with the riot and forge links between us. why do some think we should forcefully stop the discussion? so that some stay unsatisfied or even angry? i think it is better to eventually come to a consenus, better than seeing elsewhere the conflict again to erupt. Here everything eventually will cool off, ...unless someone tries to add fuel to the fire with one's very first posts at dayzmod.com...

that is the problem i tried to solve it in my initial post. no of course it mustn't be protected forever. someone who has a base, is bound to deal with it somehow regularly, not to lose it. however, it is a matter of proportionality. And this could be solved possibly with my timer-approach. but that is just one way. so do you have any ideas for that case?

maybe one problem might be there are too many platforms. To take me as an example. I'm almost never on reddit and certainly not 4chan. So my only info comes from here. So i guess there are more ppl like me. Therefor you get these coexisting communities which somewhat differ in interests and ideas at some point. So maybe it would make sense to say either here or there: "Listen guys nice idea but post it there, there you will be most certainly heard" Or at least make comments like. "Listen up, there we have this thread going on, check it out, we look forward to implement some of that suggestions eventually..:" Problem would be solved. At some point the communities most be "forced" to see/hear each other

a disgrace that they got rid of it. believe me I respect other opinions and i think with the fix everyone has what one wants. some servers use it some do not.
