Alternative Method of Honoring the Mods and Devs
joe_mcentire replied to FlamingDefibs's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
please rethink your arguments... do you really think mods don't contribute to the game? -
Basic Gamechanges that changes gameplay to more realism
joe_mcentire replied to Cpt.Spaghetti's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
well...i know there a recently many new ppl around here.... BUT why don't you use just the search bar and contribute on already existing threads!? it is really a shame. you put much effort into it, unfortunately many won't read it i can imagine. Everything , really everything was mentioned at least 500x times. THREADS LIKE THESE ANNOY, at least me. I'm sorry. edit: There are threads worth to be continued! search the phrase and at least go to page 5 of your results! PLEASE! -
hey Dean! will you do mocaps for wading (through swamps, marshes, knee-deep water)?
-
horses were said to be almost impossible to make it in the game. however there is a higher chance we see horses than children..
-
well i would also suggest to implement careful and silent reloading as well as hasty and noisy reloading in contrast

Progression System in DayZ Standalone
joe_mcentire replied to BoaDrago's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
in my opinion, even that was too much. deal with it: Dean and his fellowship of the game are thinking of subtle mechanics. -
give us what we (do not) need! - junk and unique loot

keep 'em comin' guys! some things that would add so much to the game: -
how to handle property - the issue when being offline
joe_mcentire replied to joe_mcentire's topic in Suggestions
the idea behind this ownership-calculation/timer was to mildly "force" ppl to play the game and to interact with them. Else they would lose their base and it would get abandoned again. Well i completely understand arguments against ownership or timers that "lock" your base away from others the time your are offline. but i was really thinking about how it would make sense to implement such huge ideas like bases. Because there is, in my mind, a given possibility this all could turn out completely dissatisfying and could lead to a massive implementation which wouldn't be used by anyone eventually. And again: It would lead the game into another new direction, so this should be dealt with really carefully and thought through very thoroughly. -
how about emotes to e.g. make dayz life for deaf ppl much more easier?

...and then slowly rebuild rapture ;) +1 with shadowleaper -
watch from here: that is exactly why we need any melee! situations like these are just a pain in the ass. There should be anything starting with pushing at least.

Instead of skill system, implement handbooks
joe_mcentire replied to vaevictis's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
how about pieces of handbooks, torn up with mssing pieces...maybe along the shore ;) -
how to handle property - the issue when being offline
joe_mcentire replied to joe_mcentire's topic in Suggestions
that's right. and tbh i don't think dean and matt do think of hideouts to store your loot, more of creating points of support and ultimately something to reestablish a societal system. i think this could be really the ultimate and legitimate end-game for dayz -
Player decisions: Unlocking new Content
joe_mcentire replied to joe_mcentire's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
hmmm also imagine a completely overgrown settlement. You really would have to establish your own little logging company. You could reveal little secrets/treasures or could raise a base afterwards. -
no matter what...but like toiletpaper right at the moment: add them into the game, let's see what will happen, yet without any real purpose...
-
do whatever you want with this...
-
bluffing: suddenly you pull your hand out of your pockets and all go pew pew pew! (you could really hold maybe some potential thread to distance) offering: reaches hand out with random consumable mimicries: convulsive movements, hopping around a bit to imitate a zombie begging: going down on own's knees, hands folded, our held into the air begging for your live/ praying for your last moments taking cover: hotkey to turn away, hands covering your face, aiming for a foetal position; could be used to minimize injuries when beeing hit/wounded is almost impossible

has been suggested over and over
