    Base

hi! please did you read the "read before post" post? did you follow one of the instructions there? well the answer is most certainly no... even recently suggested several times and if you follow the news, they already thought and think about that.

    Skill System in DayZ?

listen to this guy...if you have read this whole thread, then you also HAVE TO read its successor

    Poison Gas

in terms of plausibility you may be right on that one. governments would take the risk of large amounts of "collateral damages" just to preserve mankind...but i really don't know....too overpowering...

How many of us will be released by the Standalone? So this "Standalone"...is he/she the new messiah or something?! :Pit is just not really possible to even estimate. You can't really tell by the dev-blog vids and we don't even know how much content they want to see implemented in the game to be called "a solid foundation". we'll just have to wait and see...

My ideas on making the zombies much more of a challenge.

problem is that at this time, things have been changed and many infos were already given which rule most of the suggestions out or even have been already confirmed: - players don't get "the infection" - decaying zombies have already been confirmed (at least at some point) - zombies are in fact infected ppl, therefore they can die "arbitrarily", not only by headshots ... so in general it doesn't make much sense to excavate such old threads.

    Help enriching the swamp experience!

it seems that swamps now could play a major role in the overhauled health-system, as their ecosystem provides perfectly fresh-filtered water. i see deliberately polluted (drag corpses into swamps, throw polluted clothes) swamps to get their rebalance much faster than other conventional water resources.

    [SA] Prevent meta-gaming

the hell is wrong with you and your 3rd Person spam rants all over the place!? haven't you been warned because of that already?

give us what we (do not) need! - junk and unique loot

ok..so one last time.. - PEZ-dispenser: everyone knows why! - iron saws: maybe in garages or attics -> could be used against padlocks -degrade after several uses - coffee beans: maybe later on to brew your own coffee ;) - step-ladders: important for my idea of "unlocking" new content/areas; get access to otherwise non-accessible attics e.g. - thermos bottles: brew tea (yes HERBS please) and keep it as source of warmth at your body, or to "fight" colds etc. - tea bags: green, black, yellow, camomille, sage, fruit, peppermint, ginger... loot to enhance the repair-system of vehicles or simply to add more variety - acid - brake fluid - motor/gear oil - (mentioned before) fuses ... and now i'll leave it to that...can't come up with ideas all by my own without any help :(

finally ALMAS, YETIS AND THE YEREN in the SA!!
  14. yeah i know, but i thought he got "somehow" inspired ;) like the idea...but performance will suffer unfortunately, i guess...so maybe these left-overs will fade away after "x" mins...

    Make banditry be punished

with every kill your natural instincts should become stronger and stronger. at last you are a fully developed monkey. now you can climb trees and use your defecation-techniques to distract enemies. you also should be able to go on all fours.

    Commit Suicide with razors

why not use razers later on for a sophisticated crafting system. for example to cut tarps, cloth, etc. build other things... edit: well i fixed that for you:

    Fishing

in terms of a healthy diet everybody would just go to catch some fish :P

gore and dismemberment and sewing back on limbs

septic shock! this should answer this whole thread ;)
  20. well dean just recently talked about a text-based approach to get rid of any kind of hud-element (depict fever over text-output e.g.). well now this could also pave the way to subtly introduce sets of "microskills"...just sayin' ;)

    Make banditry be punished

this would basically destroy what it is all about in dayz! no way of playing must be punished!
