of course provided that all these actions can be performed whilst moving, otherwise i could see ppl being annoyed to wait at one spot for several seconds. -

and again the "monkey" approach: ECHOLOCATION is not only a sci-fi thing only availybale to Daredevil. I lately refer to the term (in)consistency. I personally came to an opinion that the game somehow lacks consistency: may it be zed-behavior, or the fact that we have so many rusted-down vehicles - remember the pic of the crashed airplane? - which imply that the outbreak started ages ago, still there are plenty of "fresh" zeds (although they should decease within a "relatively short" timespan i would have guessed --> again: inconsistency of zed's and the "Infection" in general imho). so loot also depends on a consistent world. if the outbreak were ages ago, we should be forced to hunt and tend to cannibalism ("The Road"). If it were just days ago we could find plenty of loot... -

dean reacts very allergic to implementations which water the "total immersion" down. so i guess and hope this will never happen unless they have no other choice but saying goodbye to their own principles... this is part of the mercilessness and injustice of the game. we should keep it that way imho. -
ahh... i didn't expect to get immediate answers, so i can play the waiting game personally. some questions get answered eventually and some may be useful for further suggestions. i mean at least this thread gets/got some views ;)

well i don't think that the rations idea ist the best fitting one in terms of authenticity. the timer-approach also has the benefit of (how ironic) its distinctive drawback: "overdosing". With an attached timer it is far more likely to overdose your medicine/food/water..whatever and this could lead to immense drawbacks: -

very very intersting indeed: also http://www.nytimes.c...han-humans.html so these sources explain why e.g. chimps are like 2-3x times stronger than human. so could a virus alter our muscular or nervous systems? if yes, zeds could have indeed superhuman powers! -

i want to bring this topic back up for the simple fact that i think zeds (or the virus/parasite behind them) should be somehow consistent as I pointed out in a question (see also below) edit: that's the point. what should be "logic and authentic" on the condition that such an outbreak would be real? at least what are our opinions? i guess it's easy to "overlook" some form of consistent zed-behavior, although i understand they could create their zeds anyway they want, but maybe we could hint at some minor or major flaws or just provide many neat ideas. some inconsistencies for example: I guess the "ape" approach would be the "easy and legit" way out, as someone mentioned earlier in this thread. -

HUD: The ultimate goal is to have as few elements as possible on the screen. Nevertheless are there at the moment: hunger, blood, thirst, temperature. Poison is in everything, and no thing is without poison. The dosage makes it either a poison or a remedy, Paracelsus. Don't you think everything should be about the right balance? Shouldn't the hud also represent that? too much food or water is as bad as too little of them. e.g. too much food -> slower movements, vomitting, accoustic signals too much water -> problems with Acid–base homeostasis too high temperature -> collapsing, blacking out Wouldn't this add to far more immersion if you can't just max all your stats out? heated cloth / hot compress Input: 1x cloth , 1x tin can, (Ax herbs:camomille, hay flowers, sage, thyme), 1x fire source Output: heated cloth / hot compress Tools: - Failchance: - Enchantment: small increase in chances to heal/ get rid of infections ActionType: medical supplies Use hot compresses against literally everything! Herbs increase chances as well as tin foil (wrapped around the cloth to maintain heat a little bit better) The next is a double feature: heated stones Input: 3x stones (bigger) OR 6x stones (smaller), 1x fire source Output: heated stones Tools: - Failchance: - Enchantment: useless stones are now hot, can have different use. ActionType: semi-useless junk hot stone pillow Input: 2x cloth, 3x heated stones (bigger) OR 6x heated stones (smaller), 1x tin foil Output: hot stone pillow Tools: - Failchance: - Enchantment: bigger increase in chances to heal/ get rid of infections ActionType: medical supplies Use hot stone pillows again like compresses. Higher chances because heat will be kept longer in the stones. edit: so could you give as a brief info of some suggestions which could make it ingame eventually, or which objects could find their way into the game because of crafting suggestios? ;) -
