  3. it'S quite easy i guess. if dean wants it as authentic, as much horror, as intense and immersive as possible there would only be one option left. Dslyecx's video for that matter is a master-piece of plausible and simply good argumentation i used the word "ode" before maybe i complement this with a "ode to joy" as well

  7. i just revived this thread becasue it kinda fits and i didn't want to make a new one ;). as i said before i just think for the way they are heading at the moment you would gain so much if you would introduce some elaborate mechanics and animations, stances for stealth and sneaky gameplay prime examples could have been: slow opening of doors (as in amnesia) -> unfortunately also already declined by Deanslowly reloading of guns to reduce noisea unique "sneak" movement, to make as little noise as possible

    how about unknown enemies you cannot simply see or grasp... things that lurk in the shadows. so you have to look for food and stuff at day and have to build fortifications for the night....where the creepers come out to hunt you down... mild references to modern pop culture included
  10. really i don't think that. ONLY if FP would be messed up beyond idk... i cannot imagine gamers to say: "no i won't buy this game because it isn't 3rdP" i really would like to see such an "ode to 3rdPerson" as dssclasdsf... did for 1st person edit: but i guess one simply can't

    give us what we (do not) need! - junk and unique loot

    BROKEN/SHATTERED GLASS of any kind i want this to give away movement of players, zeds, animals etc... if there will be any additional stealth relevant content i want this in the game,

    another one: in case of gutting zeds: use limbs, intestines, remains of any kind etc to spoil fresh water or food.
  14. anyone infos about that ai proposal in particular? besides pathfinding i guess they want to do also other stuff or am i wrong?
  15. now think about that: you don't have "only" npc enemies! stealth may be also vital for PVP gameplay especially if you may want to surprise and/or then constrain someone.

    because i am on a stealth rampage....i lift this thread up again. i really like ideas like these. stealth mechanics ftw.
  18. due to the direction this gaming is heading (scarce ammo, close interaction with players like restraining etc) this idea needs to be discussed again. stealth gameplay needs its place ingame. so what can you do to create a realistic sneak and stealth experience on one hand and don't create a uber-mechanic as in skyrim? how about a slow, careful and therefore almost noiseless movement, how about slow reloading of guns to make almost no noise, how about noiseless but far slower access to your backpack

  24. Gamescom showed a very well developed Stary Sobor. hopefully we can expect something like this from other locations as well...can't wait to see cherno in cherna+ again!
