  1. Honestly I get desync/rubber banding even on non-BE servers now. I'm not sure why but this is the case.

Player Proximity DeSync Issue (Old Topic!)

I too thought it was BE but just today I started getting the constant desync/rubber banding on the non-BE servers as well. I have talked with BE about this and they have investigated the issue and have concluded it ain't them. It's to do with the game itself. And more and more players are being affected. Just today a buddy of mine that I play with who was playing every day fine on any server suddenly started having the problem crop up as well. Oddly enough it started when he joined a server I was stable on.

DayZ SA: Very bad Stuttering on battleye severs.

Hmmm not even sure it's to do with any hardware. My buddy who has been fine so far this week tried to join a server I was doing fine on and experienced the problem, now most every server is doing it to him just like me. This has to be something in the game files that is corrupting randomly (perhaps there are some servers out there that are doing it). Odd that verifying cache doesn't seem to catch it. I'm going to go ahead and endure the arduous process of reinstallation and see if it fixes anything.

SOB. As of today it is now doing it on Non-BE servers for me......how the hell did this work fine consistently for 3 days and now its persisting to ALL servers. Guess it isn't BE afterall. Can anyone else confirm this on non-BE servers?

DayZ SA: Very bad Stuttering on battleye severs.

Perhaps we should start looking for some hardware commonality that could perhaps explain this. My specs: Sabertooth 990FX mobo AMD Phenom2 1100T BE Intel 120gb SSD MSI 6950 TwinFrozr Sapphire 6950 FleX 8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 Corsair Vengeance 1500 7.1 simulated surround headset Running Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 Also running 3x1 Eyefinity two 23"s on the side and a 32" TV in the middle.

Also here's my convo so far with someone from BE Said that this happens on servers with 0-39 players doesn't matter and they replied again quickly.

DayZ SA: Very bad Stuttering on battleye severs.

Did uninstall on both AVG and Spybot. Did msconfig and diagnostic startup. Under diagnostic startup I cannot connect to my network which makes this moot. Not sure if it's something inherent to diagnostic startup or if it prevents something my USB wireless stick needs to run. I have literally killed EVERY non-essential process now and am down to a very small list: csrss.exe, dwm.exe, explorer.exe, steam.exe, taskhost.exe, tasmgr.exe and winlogon.exe. This problem is STILL persisting on ONLY BE enabled servers. How in the hell is this not BE related? Is it a hardware incompatibility that suddenly cropped up? If that's the case I think that's on you guys. This worked last sunday when I bought standalone and since monday I have to search far and wide for a BE server that works temporarily or just go to a non BE server.

I'm yet another player who experiences the rubber banding and occasionally the micro-stuttering only on BE enabled servers. I think it's pretty clear by now that this is a BE issue for certain players. I guess that kind of takes it out of the hands of Rocket. I'm going to send an email to BE, it would probably be wise for the rest of yall to do the same so it is brought to light as quickly as possible

Up to 100k desync on nearly every server!!!

If you are having the same problem as most of us you can at least play reliably on the non BE servers, what few there are. They all have worked fine for me so far.
  10. Rushthezeppelin

TV says 'unsupported' when I play.

You are using a 1080p TV correct? If you are using a 720p then your problem is right in front of your face with resolution too high for the TV.

Up to 100k desync on nearly every server!!!

This just gets better and better. I managed to find one server last night that allowed me to play for about 4 hours before I went to bed. Me and a friend went around and I got pretty darn geared up (had bout everything I needed sans a good rifle). We go logout at the hill SW of Gorka. Get back on today and start trying to find a good server. No luck for about 15 servers and then all of a sudden I try another one and I'm back on the freaking coast as a fresh spawn, even tried several servers to make sure it wasn't one mislabeled as a public server to no avail. So apparently this bug can kill your freaking character even when they are on a hill in the forest. I understand dying while actually logged in and say trying to move in a multi-story building due to desync, but dying while logged out on a hill due to desync mystifies me...... Really hope someone offers a fix for me or the devs fix it soon because right now even when I do find a playable server, I risk losing all my stuff just trying to find another playable server the next day. Driving me bonkers.

TV says 'unsupported' when I play.

While the color match isn't perfect, I'm using a Westinghouse 32" in the middle of two acer 23"s set up in 3x1 Eyefinity and I never have any problems that you describe.

Up to 100k desync on nearly every server!!!

Well I'm seeing the 100k desync alot less now after messing with non-vital processes (turned off AVG and Spybot S&D). Desync in showing as 0 majority of the time but I'm still having pretty major desync in reality despite what the game says. Delayed movements and crazy rubber banding.

Up to 100k desync on nearly every server!!!

FIgured I should also mention this is happening regardless of how many players are on a server as well. I'm generally hopping on servers with 4-15 players and it doesn't seem to make a darn bit of difference. Also my bandwidth is usually higher than the average on any given server and I definitely have my firewall turned off.

Vertical Hand Grips (Daily Suggestion #2)

Mehhh vertical foregrips are overrated IMO. Better than crappy stock carbine grips but not near as good as a magpul angled foregrip or even better a longer free float tube that allows you to do a competition locked support arm grip

Change the way pistols are gripped.

Currently when using a pistol you use the teacup and saucer grip. While this did used to be a valid grip back in WWII, the mechanics of pistol shooting has progressed ALOT since then. The only people who still use this grip are cops in cop shows and movies (if they aren't just doing one handed hitting people in the head from 100yds ). The accepted grip nowdays is what is called the Thumbs Forward Pistol Grip. There are a few variations on it: From the traditional: To the agressive: Variation used for revolvers: The advantage to this is it supports the gun on both sides and makes the recoil more straight up, thus making it easier to get back on target for subsequent shots. Handguns have a tendency to recoil towards where they are not supported which with the teacup grip would be on the left side (for right handers). Sorry as a competition pistol shooter IRL it kind irks me when firearms falsehoods are perpetuated. Granted this isn't a huge deal but still a bit of a pet peeve that I would love to see get fixed

Change the way pistols are gripped.

Ohhh gee I don't know Assy Shut up Sanchez I would like to see somebody hold a gun like Assy without the use of the force  I would laugh my ass off if I ever saw somebody in dayz doing the OG grip on their gat lol. Reminds me of this funny little gag

home phones, cell phones, and phonebooks

Phones aren't usable in a no electricity post appocalyptic world. Only type of long distance communication that would be useable is battery/generator/handcrank powered short wave radios.
  19. Rushthezeppelin

Change the way pistols are gripped.

You do have a bit of a point. Thanks to TV/Hollywood most people when first picking up a pistol tend to do the teacup and saucer technique. Still if they are going to keep it this grip type then accuracy and follow up shot speed should suffer as a result.

    Sniping

Actually there are scopes out there that are specifically tuned to the balistic coefficient of the round you are using and have yardage you can turn to. Granted the majority should just use regular 1/4 MOA adjustments like most scopes out there with very rare drops being the scopes ballistic drop compensator turrets (and only specific to one caliber so you have to match it to the right weapon). As to the accuracy of Mosins, unless you are talking about a Finnish Mosin (or a good luck of the draw on a Russian/Bulgarian), they are usually crap shooting groups of 4"-6" at 100yds. M4s on average shoot 2"-4" at 100yds although you can with a match barrel (or once again luck of the draw) and match ammo shoot as low as 1/2" at 100yds. Hell my stock milspec AR shoots average 1"-1 1/4" groups with just regular old M193 55gr FMJ. I've been able to shoot mine pretty accurately out to 500yds although if you aren't getting a vital or head shot at that distance FMJ will do little more than poke a quarter inch hole in somebody. I think it would be an interesting mechanic to have random variability in the accuracy of your rifle. As for wind, that would be incredibly tricky to impliment and honestly wind makes little difference with larger calibers (.30/7.62 and up) until 500-600+yds. If they were to impliment a wind compensating system they would have to make it readable not only with a (very rare) wind meter but also with higher power scopes using whats called wind mirrage (which is incredibly hard to read IRL) or implement accurate wind mechanics with things like tall grass and trees (would be a NIGHTMARE from a programming standpoint).

    Fast Travel to Friends?

If you want teleporting you need to look at WoW, not dayz. Just wait until we have cars in the game again or spend the time running to your friend like everyone else does. Once again if you want any kind of teleporting in the game you are playing the wrong game.

    Idea: Ammo Handloading

This is total BS. Trust me I load lead bullets for my 9mm (a poly framed CZ75 clone) almost exclusively (except my HP self defense rounds). If it does mush it then you are using pure lead and will have barrel leading issues as well (which will happen on revolvers as well). Properly done harder lead alloys work perfectly fine in autoloaders. The only trick with autoloaders and lead is that some won't feed odd bullet profiles like flat nose or semi-wad cutters but this changes from gun to gun. Personally my CZ clone will even feed semi wad cutters (they look like a fat crayola crayon basically). For more info on this stuff check out http://castboolits.gunloads.com/. As to the OPs idea as a reloader in RL I've very much wanted this system in game although I completely understand that it is low on the priority list.

    Starting Gear.. sucks.

Usually they will tell you a bit about the starting loadout in the server name, read a little more and you should be able to find the private servers that don't give you fancy loadouts (try whitelisted servers especially, they also tend to be very free of hackers).

    Fixing registry?

So I'm pretty well convinced that I have problems with my registry that steam validation isn't fixing. I'm trying to figure out though which registry entries I need to mess with to get everything to reset in there. Can somebody please tell me exactly what I need to delete/change in my registry to hopefully fix this? I've already tried a few different things with no luck and have had to import my backup several times. I would throw this in support but I get literally NO replies even there.
