How about special events like meteor strikes? It would be like a bombing but there is a next-to-zero chance of it happening. How about blizzards in the colder regions? And when you fly during a storm, you might get struck by lightning.

Mortars would be found on barracks and mortar rounds will be scattered around the are. Mortar rounds can be thrown. You have to manually reload the Mortar when it runs out of ammo. It can easily knock out planes and vehicles. The ammo is beyond rare and only responds at random times.

You can throw at enemies and do blunt damage. You can also try to hook it on platforms or buildings to climb up. This would open up a lot of fun but almost impossible feats such as grappling onto a helicopter as it rises into the air. The hook can grapple onto items and drag them. If you grapple a car, you will be dragged like a rag doll. Now time for the balancing act. If their is a narrow ledge or plank steeping across and you try to cross it, it will trigger prompts that will let you keep your balance as you move across. your character will go forward automatically and will only stop if you get too tipsy.

It's a dangerous environment I came up with. There are mines underground and your only hope of salvation is a metal detector. Metal detectors can help you find loot or mines. There will be a random occurrence that some mines might turn out to be duds. You can only find minefields near bases like a military hanger. The land mines were left behind by the last governmental body that desperately tried to find salvation from the undead hordes running rampant. There would be a blue flag near minefields to notify you of the impending danger. Sometimes, minefields will have a rare piece of loot in the center to reward those who have conquered this threat.

I know this sounds a little bit ridiculous, but how about katanas and swords? They would give a bleeding effect when used on enemies. They would be extremely deadly up close.

You know how there is nuclear super storms in namalsk, right? How about having bombings? Sirens will start and you have 5 minutes to find a bomb shelter. The sirens will also alert zombies and they will start walking in to the area. The bombings will happen randomly across the map. When the 5 minutes are up, you will see bomber planes flying and they will destroy everything. The bombings will last at least 30 seconds.
