Aside from what was already posted above me, the game will be significantly different from what we are currently experiencing. Diseases, competent zombies, more varied and appropriate hardware just for starters. The way we play will be very different, here is something you can experience right now. Run across a field from one side of a forest to another. Now do the whole trek again carefully as if your life depended on it. You gain a intimate respect for every rise and fall in the terrain, the bushes, everything beyond the key landmarks most obvious to the eye. My point being that while you may have ran everywhere in cherno but that doesn't mean you have experienced it, and I am imagining that the world will be less forgiving than it already is and we will have to adjust accordingly. -
That's the best thing I've heard this far. Players are always going to be catalyst to our emotional choices, the zombies will finally be the ever threatening backdrop to our struggle to survive.

Well in any case SA will sate many of us while we wait for a3. I have quite high hopes for Dayz in any case.

Balota Buddies is really good. There's some questionable shit, like loot cycling but that's hardly cheating really and in the last 2 months I've seen zero hacker activity.

For me its to see the new zombies. Im not talking about the models, i'm not even talking about animations, Im talking about the AI where they hopefully aren't so glitchy. Thats the biggest thing i want to see. With a fix like that I can imagine the whole dynamic, pvp included changing and having that '3rd party' that can shake things up. -
Yep, and DayZ SA will come before A3, one could just about guarantee it.

For an impatient new comer I would say get the mod first. See if you like what your playing and the game will still probably feel fresh by the time SA comes out. Those of us who have played since the beginning are probably the ones getting ancy due to us finding what we have at hand a little stalwart by comparison to what's just around the corner.

He was an american over in Chernarus, and yeah, a mechanic or somthing. Afterwards he was chilling in one of the houses talking about just surviving. I remember it, but sadly can't point you where it is.

LOL yeah man, how could you interpret it like that, it would encourage combat logging. You combat log, your character becomes bot, your bot dies then it's Game Over for the bot and you when you decide to log back in. -

My feeling is that while yes, it removes the scavenging feel to DayZ, its only an issue on Namalsk because of the ease of locking down A2, and because the already subpar zombie threat is nulified down in the depths. Having said that, it doesn't REALLY bother me too much, i just do as the Romans do and get my own loot and hunt my foes. On other maps, its harder to lock down and cycle an area thanks to more open environments and I feel the playing field is far more even. Said it once, sayin it again. When standalone comes out zombies should be more of a threat and I can imagine such things becoming much harder to achieve. Im hungry guys, give me beans for my forum epeen.

In reference to the Axe in particular, as said SOMTHING would be obtainable to eat, so perhaps you get less meat, like 1 steak per animal regardless of animal's usual yield, showing that its a desperation butcher, not a matter of due course. -

I'd say development happened. I'm a tradesman in the real world, somtimes jobs go over time, we dont just give them an unfinished house because a date was missed. -
