DayZ- My Second Story - Raiding the Airfield

No, it don't belong there, I'm friendly, but I don't take chances with large groups. So, killing 1 group don't make one a bandit...... Stop causing problems on the forums....
  2. Hello again. Since people liked my first story, I would like to share another story with my fellow DayZ survivors. Before I start, I must share some information about the server I played on. It's a 60 slot private hive, has over 300 cars and helicopters in it, tends to get laggy when you play for a while, and side chat is enabled. Also we spawn with supplies. It started when I spawned at Cherno. I have been talking to another player on the server, he has been searching for a helicopter ever since he started playing the server. I decided that I would be friendly again and help him because I have been playing DayZ a while and know places to look. After some talking I became friends with this guy without even meeting him ingame. One of our supplies we spawn with is a map. First off, I mark a waypoint at the Northwest Airfield because I love hanging around the citys up there. After about a 20 minute run I came across a Heli crash. Untouched and in the middle of a field, around 1500 meters away from the airfield. The server has just restarted half way though that 20 minute run so it explains why it was untouched. I scouted the area making sure no one was around to shoot me and begin to loot. I ran across a MK48 with a small amount of ammo. By this time, I didn't want to lose my weapon and ran back down south to avoid people running to the airfield. I ran around a good amount of time when my friend told me he found a beat up little bird helicopter. I told him cool and I would help him find a better helicopter and asked if he could pick me up. He said yeah and I told him I would give him my coords for people would have a harder time trying to find my pick-up point. He didn't know how to read coords.... So I marked a waypoint that shows on everyones map and told him to get down here fast afraid that looters would soon be on my tail. He made good time, picked me up and we were off. I asked him what his weapons were, he said he had an AS50. I told him we should go to the Northwest Airfield and look for a working helicopter. We knew that the airfield was the #1 place to travel for people wanting military weapons and we had to come up with a plan. The plan was to land our helicopter in the nearby forest and ease our way to the middle of the airfield. Since I had a MK48 and he had an AS50, we decided that I should run out onto the field while he covers me with the sniper from the edge of the forest. I told him if I were to die on the field he was to abandon the mission and head to the coast for a pick-up. As we flew over the airfield, we saw a crashed heli and no one in sight. We landed at the northern part of the strip in the forest and grabbed a few quick supplies for our heli, we set our communication to direct and ran for the airfield. At the top of the airfield I told him to stay behind and cover me as the plan. We started the mission and I ran out into the airfield. I was out of Direct communication range and had no way to talk to him secretly. I noticed by that crashed heli we saw was a group of 6 people raiding it. Hoping they didn't notice me, I dodged behind a car and started firing upon them. They ran to the nearest hanger and my friend sniped on by the heli. 1 down, 5 to go. I switched to Side Chat and yelled "THEY'RE IN THE HANGER!!!". These guys weren't lightly armed, 2 had an M107 and started shooting at my car missing me because I was behind it. I had my friend open fire again taking out another person. 2 down, 4 to go. I saw with 3rd person view that they were moving to the corner of the hanger for they could shoot at me. I knew that was my chance and opened fire at the corner. 3/4th's of the clip gone my friend yelled "CLEAR". Being safe, I ran to the hanger beside me and ran up the edge of the airfield to the other hanger the group was in. I look around the corner and they all were dead. I had killed 3 of them. Not doing my math I thought there were only 5 people and that we got them all. I quickly looted the bodies and ran for the first helicopter while my friend still covered me. Checking each helicopter I went by for how damaged it was, I finally came across one that we could refill, it was an upgrade for the little bird. I told my friend the airfield was clear and I needed help refueling on the field. He ran too me. After a while has past, we decided we needed our heli to bring us more fuel, we had a few more cans on it. He ran and brought it to our new helicopter. I got in the new heli waiting for him to put fuel in the heli for I can monitor the fuel bar. Suddenly I heard a gunshot, my friend dropped dead. Stunned, I hid in my helicopter waiting for them to come loot his body. 2 people ran up, the first was a guy with a AS50 and the other was the guy that combat logged while we killed his group. Once they started looting my friend, I jumped out and started unloading my gun into the 2 man team, the combat logger died and I kept shooting the sniper but he wouldn't die, he was a hacker..... He shot me and I died, losing everything. We got so far, just to end that fast, I had a great plan, until it was ruined by a hacker..... Well, I hope you liked my story :D.... So long my fellow survivors.

    DayZ- My Best Story

Hopefully this is the right place to share a story. Anyways, I'm Zane and I started playing DayZ half a month ago. I started a noob and worked my way up to a DayZ master (I think :D) and I'm here to share my story. It started late one night, I just spawned in Komarovo and with my experience, I knew that the town had a main road all the way to NorthWest Airfield (Or International Airport as some call it). So I gathered some food and set off on the road. I made it to Zelenogorsk then became low on blood due to not caring about zombies when looting because I didn't care if I was sneaky, I just wanted to get to the Airfield as fast as I could. I picked up a hachet, a hunting knife on the way, I looted the supermarket in Zelenogorsk and found matches. I decided that I should turn the gamma option all the way up (The option in the game that basically gives you night vision) and find a few animals in the fields around me to get meat and cook it to get my blood up. After a few animals I got my blood to a decent amount. I continued to the airfield, I sneaked around to the first barrack, I could tell it hasn't been looted since the last server restart because the doors were shut and had very good items. I explored the barrack door by door then came across a M249 Saw Light Machine gun, I was extremely excited. I logged off because I was tired. The next day I logged back on and was still excited to walk around with the weapon. I explored the rest of the airfield,I found the best loot for navigation, GPS, Compass, and map, I was making my third round to the barracks to see if anything respawned, but before I could get there, a hacker teleported me to Electro and scared me. I looked at him and he looked at me and we unloaded on each other. I still had the Saw and he had a M16A1 CCO SD. We were to close and out bullets went though each other. I thought he had god mode on and took off into the supermarket he shot me twice and I started bleeding out on red but I wasn't passed out, I ran out the back of the store while he chased me, I stopped real quick and yelled "Why are you hacking?", like all hackers, he didn't reply, just kept chasing me, I ran into the church. He was far behind because he stopped a few times to shoot at me. I quickly bandaged myself and logged out but befored I clicked Abort, I had noticed a broken bus in the background. I logged back in to another server with less people. I noticed the bus was there because I logged out close to it. I decided to explore the town for parts for I can get back to the airfield, after finding nothing, I returned to the church to find another person camping my bus. I didn't want to take the chance to see if he was friendly or not, so I unloaded the Saw into his chest and head, he died. I decided to search the industral part of the city for parts. I found a tire and returned to the bus to find ANOTHER player in the church. Once again, I shot him not wanting to take the chance of losing my items. I attached the tire and ran back into the church, I heard someone on the mic in direct communication, I hid in a corner. He ran in yelling we was friendly. He just spawned and had no weapons or gear. I needed a blood transfusion after the hacker attack so I didn't kill him. I told him that I won't kill him if he helped me with my blood problem, he did. I told him to tell me if he comes back for I won't kill him. I went off searching again. I came back and he was back, he said now he needed blood. He had a shotgun now and I told him to lower it. I told him to run to the church, I'll meet him there. I asked him if he was out of blood, he reply "No, I just was about to go on an adventure and I wanted to be safe". Me being the friendly old me said ok. I opened my backpack near him, he raised his weapon, I tired to backout of inventory and shoot him but I was too late, he shot me in the head... I lost everything, my bus, my Saw, NV goggles, range finder, GPS, etc... I almost rage quit, but I thought I could still get him. Luckfully, I spawned in a town near, I ran to all firestations to grab a gun and found a shotgun. I ran back to the church to find he hid my body for I can't get some items he left, but he left the bus. I ran to the industral part of the city, found the parts I needed to repair the bus. I repaired it and went searching for that backstabber I tried to help. I didn't find him. I lost my gear forever. Believe it or not, that was my best story on DayZ, I went from new spawned, to best armed on the server, to helpful, to dead. So tell me what you think. Thanks for reading.
