Ayup, humanity. To be honest I'm a little sad they removed it before I joined it was pretty funny watch youtube videos of people mowing down a few guys, then see the face change ^_^ from to >:) -
I also think the old bandit skin looked better. As for advantages, why not have all bandits start with a Makarov PM like the good old dayZ? Or perhaps more meat from hunting, longer run duration before becoming tired. (the heros already have a faster run speed) Or we could just have the hero skin's benfits copied over to the bandit so their even. Another option would be to have the bandit more resistant to infections/temperature changes. After all, that scarf looks pretty warm to me. I just want some "Distinction" to being a bandit. I mean the hero has "He's a hero. He's helped people. He can run a little faster to help rescue teammates and wears a (Mildly) bullet-resistant vest, so if anyone makes the mistake of firing on him, he stands a better chance." So why not for the bandit: "He's a bandit, dishonest and untrustworthy. He's made sure he's geared up for survival, knowing beforehand this country is dangerous and thus starts with a Makarov PM he stole from the boat before it crashed upon Chern." or "He knows the dangers of the harsh, cold nights, so he cut some cloth from some poor soul's shirt and fashioned a balaclava to both hide his idenity and help stay warm." etc.

Reminds me of Metal Gear Solid 3, there was a few points in the game where there were little rope traps that if triggered by running into or shooting the rope, there would be mines that would explode, poisonous arrows, spiked logs on ropes, huge pits with spikes and water covered up very losely, snares where you had to cut the rope when your hanging with your knife, etc. One of these traps were a bunch of cans that would clank if the rope was snapped, this triggered an automatic "CAUTION" mode where the soldiers would call in backup and a deadly assault team who would then search the area where you tripped the rope. (Unless you shot the cans off beforehand) It would be awesome to have this featured in the mod to cover your sniping position, etc. (Actually to be completely honest, I think there was only one area in the entire game that had the clacking cans , and it had 2 or so of these traps)

This happened to me yesterday, character kept going "Fuck! That hurts!" every few seconds, luckily I relogged and it went away.

Oh, alright, beans for you! I always thought it was the zombie virus though because it would have to be a REALLY bad cold to reduce you to half of your life permenantly. (or at least untill you find those super rare antibiotics) It might also just be a bacterial infection, I read on a forum post its actually possible to get it from gunshots, or any injury that causes bleeding. Maybe in standalone they will revamp the infection system, for example there could be different types of infections, different ways to treat them, etc.

Can I have the source? Anyways one of the ways to get the "Cold" is from being hit by a zombie, so it could actually be the zombie virus, only reduced in severity because of immunity.

Not to be a backseat mod or anything, but this has been posted before. Anyways, I'd LOVE for this to be in the mod. Its extremely frustrating not to be able to use that hunting knife as a Melee weapon. Make it weak though, perhaps an instant kill from behind. -

And about blood regen being "overpowered" it will refill at a realistic rate, so to heal without ANY medical attention will take a very long time. I'm not sure what the rate should be at, though. Perhaps ten blood every few minutes? The regen will only kick in after 1 minute has passed without you taking any damage. (It probably wouldn't matter much because the regeneration is extremely slow.) This reworking seem alright? -

I heard stories about Monky Monitor also being able to force you to be unconcious permenantly, (for 6 hours maybe, I'm not exactly sure, but it can cause the irritating bug where your knocked out for what seems like forever, or in some cases permenantly and you have to wait to starve) while displaying a message like "Locked by Monky" or "Suck my monky ****" etc. It can randomly kill you if you try to abort, or disconnect, or pretty much anything. If you see this monky monitor come up, quickly disconnect. Once I saw a debug monitor that had a biohazard symbol and said something like "Toxic Cheats" or something, obviously a link to "hacks" that are actually keystealers. The player who put it up was kicked from the server, a few weeks later I think a person with a similar name, logged in, (I'm almost sure its the same guy) and he gets banned again for script restrictions. Heck, I've even heard one story about a "Melon Monitor". Either way, if you notice ANYTHING suspicious on a server, the best action to take is simply disconnect. You don't want to stay on a server thats been hacked.

Having the loudspeaker would be a cool effect. Would be awesome if it put a slight distortion on your voice as if it was coming from an actual loudspeaker. Would be even cooler if instead of the noise coming from the "computer" (Hard to explain, but like when someone on a source engine game uses voice chat, no matter where they are it just comes from your headphones/speakers, no matter if they are to the left or right it sounds like their "Inside" you) but it came from the actual chopper, like the sound was coming from above you. Hearing the loud booming voice coming from the heli above you while being blinded from the searchlight at nighttime would be an adrenaline rushing experience.

I guess you are right, ironicly I was inspired by games in the mgs series (I'm a huge Metal Gear fanatic, guess you can call me a Metal Gearhead, heh.) Metal Gear Solid 2 had the "Crouch/Prone and lie still to stop bleeding" mechanic and Metal Gear Solid 3 had the "Health slowly regenerates, a little faster if your well fed." and the "Having the game turned off means your resting, and you heal a little faster" system. Anyways I thought of the very slow decay of thirst and hunger because I can see people abusing the system. (Like if they are starving to death, they could just logout and wait a few days for the blood to regenerate, then log back in and play, searching for food, then logout again when low on blood, rinse and repeat.) Perhaps other injuries should go away over time, too. In real life if I'm in pain, I don't stay in pain endlessly until I take some asprin. Maybe pain, broken bones, and sickness should have a very small chance to heal over time. This way the medical supplies should still be just as important, but if you don't have those super rare antibiotics, you could have a chance to get better if you don't mind coughing constantly for a long time. You should have maybe a slightly higher chance to heal if you are considered "Resting" (Logged out.) Just a couple ideas. -

They will go down at an extremely reduced rate, like 2 weeks tops to starve, etc. Something tog ive the notion that your still "Alive" even when logged off.
