Which memory error exactly? That COULD be related to your memory. edit: What's your internet connection speed? -

What software is running in the background? Did check your memory for errors (memtest86)? -
How does the game perform on other servers/ in singleplayer? btw: Shouldn't your aspect ratio be 16:9 with that resolution? (not that it would do anything performance-wise..) Set your CPU (and everything else) back to the default clock speed and make GPU and CPU properly speed up the clock during gameplay. Are you using a current driver for your video card (314.22 WHQL)?
-
Forget what has been said above. :P You will most likely have to change your ingame name. To do so, either rename your profile or create a new one.
-
The DayZ mod does not affect your GPU usage in comparison to Arma 2 CO (AA and PP only affects GPU usage/ VRAM), however it can affect your CPU and HDD usage.

Contact Symantec about the false positive, otherwise all other Norton users will continue to have this problem.

"banned for no reason".Fact or Fiction?
nik21 replied to taco241's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Seems absolutely legit... funny how it's always the friend, brother or goldfish... I guess when can all be 100% sure that he didn't attempt to cheat or got his CD-Key stolen. 1st, is a random youtube video description a trusted source? That thing could perfectly be a keystealer. And yea.. happened to "some friends". Seems legit. 2nd, yes you are wrong, executing scripts on other players has always been possible, getting globally banned for that is not possible. There is always a "reason" for a kick, probably, as in 99% of the cases, either a incorrectly configured server or an error on his end, but not on BE's side. You can't get globally banned for access flooding. That was most likely an admin ban, caused by DayZ Anti-Hax which is known to have this kind of false positive, or a incorrectly configured beserver.cfg. All in all, I own my copy of Arma 2 OA since early 2011 and my key has never been falsely globally banned whatsoever and I have yet to be kicked for an Error on BE's side, expect in Arma 2 vanilla, when (I believe in early 2012) BE Client version 1.155 caused a timeout which caused a kick for "Client not responding" after about 30 Minutes of playing (fixed by a client update shortly after). -
"banned for no reason".Fact or Fiction?

Those people coming to the DayZ forums claiming they've been innocently banned are mostly either script kiddies (easily identified by allcaps and full-rage hurr-durr mode) or people THINKING they've been innocently banned when they got IN FACT their Arma 2 OA keys stolen (which has then been used for cheating by someone else bla bla..). The only case of a false positive was in August 2012, those bans were lifted within 3 days, but that's about it. Every ban has evidence gathered behind it, and no, BE doesen't have any false positives atm. So yeah. Most people coming here are just newbies, fail at keeping their system safe and then blame BE for "banning without reason bla bla..." when they don't have a single clue of what's even going on. bs, the reason is indicated by the kick message. -
That's a Laptop. I guess? There's nothing you can really do... expect buying a computer with better Hardware (I recommend a desktop).
-
What resolution? The 7450M is quite... low-end, too.
-
I think it's the name causing the kick -> "Setsuna"
-
... doesen't matter, it is important to know the player name as the kick could be triggered due to it.
-
What's the players name?

We will see if range is limited, I doubt it. They're busy enough with changing the engine architecture. However. You talk about cheat prevention in the first place, but when it comes to actual cheat detection, VAC is probably the worst descision you can make. Technicially, it is years behind BattlEye and also lacks all kind of admin features, meaning the SA will have no ping-limit kicker, no remote administration, no multi-admin support, no chat logging, and no way of managing your player base (such as white-listing, storing players to a database, TS3 integration, talking to players over RCON, etc). BE is simply much, much better than VAC in every aspect. DayZ is going to be a very popular game, and you can see yourself what happens to popular games with VAC only (CSS, MW2/ MW3 etc.)
-
The only thing that could cause the SA to be a failure imo is the sheer amount of players and/ or cheaters. If the game goes live with VAC only (it probably will), I predict first private cheats within 1 day, public ones within 1 week and the servers might be full of ESPers, Aimbotters and maybe speedhackers/ no clip stuff within one month.

Has the problem occurred randomly or has it always been like this? What's your GPU?

Never trust a Makarov to finish the job...
nik21 replied to Cap'n (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I once emptied about 5 makarov mags into a bandit hunting me until he finally dropped (both head & chest). -
It can take a while when you get up to 100+ emails a day, just be paitent and you will get an answer. Every case is being checked.

If you think your ban may be triggered in an error go here: http://www.battleye.com/support.htm

Only ever download Software from trusted sources. Malware/ Keystealers could be hidden anywhere.

That's not me lol :b

You're not the only one.

Delete your Arma2OA.cfg in My Documents/ Arma 2 and try again.
