    The problem isn't even the ban itself, it's Bohemia playing along with them by changing the game for everyone and the way Australia approaches censorship. Note that banning stuff won't save your society from violence and dangerous ideas, as recent Christchurch tragedy proved.

    Cannabis was fine and did meet the guidelines,until Five Star Games turned up.Not sure what Bohemia are doing,what they should be doing is cutting ties with Five Star Games and issuing a statement condemning their actions and have no part of this media stunt .

    This is a marketing stunt. It's been out for ages, and only now the classification board has suddenly found a reference to cannabis in the game files that aren't actually used in the game? How did they find it? It's not like the people on the board have the technical expertise or even the time to go trawling through unused game files to find this stuff, so somebody had to tell them. They don't even play the games ffs...

    You watch, the developers will release a patch that removes that file, and it will suddenly be available again, and lots of people will buy it because of the extra media exposure.

    I dont know why the loot table had to go back to 0.54,I had no problems finding loot.

     

    Out of the 1875 servers,there were 1100 serves with zero players,little over 500 with 10 players and less,with a hand full of populated servers,

    At the time a total of 3070 players on line .

     

    Coincidentally the hotfix as it called was put in place two days later.

     

    Good bye eazy looting.now Ill have full servers to fight over the loot

    I was trying out AMDs virtual super resolution today to see what the fps hit would be at 2560x1600.

    The Forest,When I look at the sun,sea,sky my gpu and cpu usage went down,and when I looked at woods,hills my gpu usage went to 95%+ and cpu to 70%

    The exact opposite of Arma and it spin off engines.

    And the best part...its ALPHA

    Ive seen many ideas shot down because they would hurt the lone wolf. "I dont want detailed surgery it would hurt lone wolves, dont add sanity/social needs it would hurt the lone wolves, dont add in crew fired weapons it would hurt lone wolves". Honestly, Im tired of hearing everyone say "Oh, well IRL I woud be a lone wolf I wouldnt need anyone then why should I in DayZ?"

    Because the fact is most people here cant perform medical operations/CLS techniques to others let alone doing it to yourself. Dont say that you dont need social lives when SHTF, humans invented language and civilization BECAUSE humans need interaction. What happens to the guy who says he doesnt need a girlfriend or friends and spends all day in mommys basement? Hes either a 600 pound socially akward gamer or he becomes a school/mall/theater shooter because society doesnt understand him. (If you dont like the truth, fix the truth)

    So I say add in complex surgery, yeah I can do basic CLS treatment on myself and others but according to you all were untrained survivors who shouldnt be able to use tactical stances (see A3 stance in DayZ thread)

    And add in sanity/ a need for social contact, yeah I go camping for a couple weeks to a month sometimes but I still crave human contact after a while (and I dunno about yall, but talking to my girlfriend is one of the best parts of my day)

    Tl;Dr--> Lone Wolves will die IRL when SHTF and its the EOTWAWKI

    If you want"irl" get some random to do complex surgery on you and come back and tell us how it worked out for you.

     

    I also have died zero times playing lone wolve in 140 hours,where as the buddies/clans deathmatch players die at a fairly high rate.This maybe why you want surgery because you want the easy way out of being a Bambie and gearing up after getting you ass handed to you everyday just by pressing "H heal" key for complex surgery .

     

    If you don't like running of the beach,stop getting killed

    Everyting comes down to hardware settings i have a 4 (almost 5) year old system with an AMD Pehnom II x4 955 black 3.2ghz cpu and RadeonHD 6850 1gb graphics card. i play on a 19in monitor at 1920x1080p 60hz on maximum settings. i get 45-70 FPS in rural areas 30-45 in towns and 30-35 in cherno or electra (without rain rain sucks!). tinker with your settings and you can make any game better

    Well I do have the same cpu and 2x6850s,but I dont think Im going to waste the thermal paste.They are retired for a reason.

    Just checked with my son who has the gpus and DayZ and Arma2/3 about the fps.

    He said ,Id dont think so

    I have AMD and I wish I had Intel, it's not a fanboy thing it's a gamer thing.

     

    Every intel user knows, most AMD users know that Intel hardware is better, the same goes for Nvidia, the only fanboys I see in this topic are stubborn AMD users who, despite seeing the evidence clear as day on any benchmarking website are determined to stand by thier brand. i have an AMD based rig, i honestly believed i was making a wise decision when I bought it what with saving a few quid here and there.

     

    I now know I was wrong and deeply regret my purchase.

    Go out buy buy your Intel and Nvidia but know one thing,your expensive hardware will still be crippled by the BIS engine

    Software Afterburner, Rivatuner, HWiNFO64.

    I used the HWiNFO64  to display the cores on the OSD(RTSS) tab and I can reset the values(Cpu/thread usage average) and start playing or while in-game and just write down the average cpu/thread usage over the playing time.I just couldn't be bothered up loading pics or youtube videos.

    How to do it if you dont know

    But there not intentionally screwing AMD users, the game isnt optimized for intel its just not optmized at all!! When i monitor the game for me ( some people report it using 2 cores i keep asking them to post pics of there monitoring software screens because i think its still actually 1 with the background functions running on second core, strangely they never post the pics) its using a single core, on a game thats very heavy CPU dependant.

     

    I know you dont want to hear it but intel for single core performance is light years infront of amd . So its a case of nothing is optimized so your going to get better results on the chip that can brute force it which sadly is intel..

     

    Edit but hey they are trying to do a PS4 port so if they are to succeed there going to have to multithread the crap out of it to take advantage of the many small cores of the PS4's AMD chip...

    Hey guys! This is my first post and i need opinions on my build! Also avg fps in dayz maybe? Ok these specs arent to specific but here you go .

    i5-4690k

    EVGA GTX 970 ACX 2.0 4GB

    2x4 GB 8GB ram 1600

    600w ps

    Windows 8.1

    I will get a ssd in the future for dayz but whatever. Ok thanks!

    Get the best PSU that you can afford.

    A 600watt generic/budget  is not the same a a gold rated 600watt PSU.

     

    Want SLI at some time in the future,watercooling Epeen window case?.Its cheaper the buy the good one now.

     

    You dont have to get a modular PSU to get a clean build with a case such as an NZXT H440 Mid Tower Case.

    I got one for my son and he has the ball of spaghetti/cables PSU and the cables are all hiden..

     

    Dont skimp on the PSU
