Hey I'm somewhat new to DayZ but I know all the basics. I'm looking for someone to play with over teamspeak or skype or whatever. I am in Australia, so preferably someone from that region. I'd like people who are available a wide range of times and easy to get along with so we can have some good times in Chernarus.

Ok guys, pretty simple question. How can I get dayz to run with the steam overlay so I can also see how many hours I've played. I use dayz commander and have Arma 2: OA on steam. Thanks for any help :)

Just keep running away from zombies, they are very glitchy, if you go inside they will slow down to a walk, that can buy you time to quickly scramble for a weapon to take them out. Also if you are out in the open, run into a bush or pine tree and stand in the middle of it and the zombies will lose their agro and you can wait for them to leave. (some people may consider this an exploit though)

I've got another one related to helicopters: I was in cherno looting, when a guy with a hero skin told me he had a helicopter and could give me a lift, he was a cool guy so i followed him and we took off. I was in the gunners seat. after a little while, he landed to presumably pick someone else up, whem someone started firing at us, in the chaos i went into 1st person and took out a ghillie guy in front of me. Turns out he was the friendly guy, the bandit was on the other side. The hero killed the bandit and then realised what I'd done, I begged him not to kill me but I'd made a big mistake. Second potential helicopter I've stupidly lost....
