Guy at balota was asking for a blood bag on side chat. I said I'd meet him at the airfield. I went there waited for him to come and saw he had an m249 saw. I thought to myself when he goes down to recieve the blood bag I'd pop him in the head with my makarov and that'd be that. (I of course was bluffing to him). Fortunately he managed to get a 1 hit knockout from a zombie so all I had to do was spray him and I had myself a fancy new toy. He helplessly typed in side chat "I died" after he respawned, he didn't even know.

I've been on there and having guys loaded with as59s, m4a1 co sd's, dmrs, all in their bags, and writing appearing on my screen saying "I'm a hacker," I would recommend just finding another server for now.

M14 AIM, so versatile!!

Rocket has said that weapons will jam, not break, so it won't be like like fallout where your guns would fall apart after 50 shots.

The only ways I know of would be to contact someone and either get them to give you an epi pen, or kill you.

Is the next dayz patch going to be 1.7.5? Can someone please link me a site with patch notes or explain what it is going to change? Thanks for any help :)

That should be good enough for medium, but it's kinda hard to say since it varies from system to system, you could try the free version of Arma 2, but the zombies in dayz do impact performance too.

Post here about how DayZ has influenced your thinking. For me something recent would be when I was playing Skyrim and saw a castle I didn't know existed and I thought "I wonder if that is exclusive to this server?" Later I found myself scrolling the mouse wheel while trying to dismount my horse... Share.

Played Dayz for about 40 hours now Steam name: Siegfried Skype: anthonyfried. I have a mic I'd like to be a rifleman or machine gunner, wouldn't mind medic, I know the map fairly well but I'm not very good with a sniper.

Yes, I almost always give people a chance, but if they shoot first, or pose a threat I will kill them. I never shoot at unarmed players, and usually help them find a gun and/or supplies. So I've just started playing Dayz about a week ago and looking back upon my past experiences as a noob with the amount of knowledge I've got now (still not too great, but I can handle myself now), I found some of the mistakes I made pretty funny. So I thought I could start this thread where you can share your funny stories of how naive you once were and have a laugh about it. Here's mine: It was probably about my 3rd life in dayz and i spawned in by the balotta airstrip. To my delight, there was a HUEY sitting right there on the coast, with no one in sight, I rushed to it, hopped in and began spamming all the keys on my keyboard to get it going. I then realised, although it was in perfect condition, it had no fuel, so I ventured to the airstrip to find a jerry can, I didn't find one so I went back to check on the choppa. A truck with 2 guys came along and lucky for me they were friendly, they offered to find some fuel for me and drove off, I stayed with the huey. I saw the truck returning in the distance but then it stopped. I heard gunshots, and realised that my new buddies had probably been killed, I foolishly got out to have a closer look.At this time I was still unarmed and it wasn't long before the bandits had taken me out. I quickly went to respawn and found myself again in balota, only to see the heli beggining to take off. I ran towards it begging for a pickup via direct communication. I watched my helicopter fly off into the distance without me. Saddest moment in Dayz ever..

I hope you're joking about the fraps thing, you'll easily get 60+ constantly. I would be interested in the whole dayz video thing, I have a channel but I haven't uploaded any vids yet (I'm working on them!).

Just wonder, what do you all think is the ideal amount of ammo to carry on your person? at the moment I've got an M4A1 with 6 mags, and an AS50 with 4 nato mags and 2 M107 mags, I'm definately going to find a tent so I can hoard my stuff somewhere, but how much ammo and which weapon should I take with me when I'm travelling. (sidearm M9 SD w/ only 1 mag). Thanks for any help.

So I've been playing DayZ for a little while now, and I think I have reached the point of "endgame" so to speak on the public hive, I'm fully geared etc. Been to all Cherno/Electro/Stary etc, got millitary grade weapons from NW airbase (AS50, M4A1 etc), got a ghille, map compass etc. What does one do at this point in DayZ? I'd prefer not to become a bandit or sniper as I know what it's like to be killed over and over when you're a noob. I'm thinking about trying to get a vehicle (What's an easy way to get one) , but I tend to change servers whenever I play. (I've played about 14 hours total).
