since yesterday you can open them with any sharp impliment, losing some of the contents. this includes the axe
-
50% of more of your consumables are either rotting, expired or disease ridden >picking up pleb-tier food

i think the darkness is a valid point though. not to "do down" flashlights etc, but when you've got a game as pretty as ARMA and you just turn the lights off it kinda turns to shit. i've always thought that. would settle for full moon night. those are quite bright, and you can't say you wouldn't prefer it. my experience of SA is that it's ridiculously easy to keep yourself in food and drink, (and health.) even without refillable water container, you can just sip at streams now. bottle negated by stream can opener need negated by axe map negated by sexy new compass camouflaged clothes all other the place, previously very rare bandages stackable, food isn't gone in one, (less zombies, but that's down to it being alpha. some of those zoms are ferocious now, they jump at you and shit.) even with all the new systems for health and item damage it's way easier than mod, even with all the new items. No dmr, not getting shot EZmode

>loot tables are awful *walks to balota* *runs around tents* *runs around barracks* *biggest backpack, all scopes in backpack, got all clothes, tac vest, drinks, muchos tuna, ran past 6 m4s on the floor* time taken from spawn: five minutes

it said there weren't enough 20 isn't enough to seperate into two groups of 10 apparently, but maybe my matchs are off
-
they should add in a feature that makes you fall over backwards sometimes if you're wearing the mountain pack
-
my descendants will inherit the world while yours sit on mountainous piles of empty bean cans

This game should be prohibitively difficult.

i don't get that myself. there's nothing i enjoy more at the moment than running around with my compass hanging out -
go north of NWAF/NEAF there's like 5x20km new area up there. only some of it has buildings, but added in are: new huts at NWAF, north of NWAF new military spawn, new town east coast estuary, a new train line running to the new town from the west, some garages farms , and a train station
-
i didn't say they did. i'd still like to fill a cave with gold and sit in it though. that'd be MY endgame. yours is apparently doing the same thing, but with beans
-
cherry pick better loot, find painkillers and antibiotics, water purification, refillable water bottle, map, compass, clothes with more pockets. the top with the most pocket's i've seen is the DSHK(or some four letter abbreviation?) top (the flecktarn one.) with 6 pockets find pristine jungle boots. while i don't know any of the stats, the description leads me to believe these are more versatile than military boots. find an assault vest or chest holster. assault vest is better as it has 8 slots. find yourself some sunglasses and a hat to protect from the sun (seriously.) there are actually quite a lot of headgear options floating about. i currently have aviators and a camouflaged bandanna. find yourself a pristine holographic or ACOG scope find yourself a 40 or 60 round magazine for your M4. dying is part of dayz. the first player you run into will shoot at you. keep out of sight and if you see an armed player shoot him without hesitation, he'll just do the same thing. often after gaining your trust.

WAAAAAAAHGH I GOTZ ME UGE AX' AN IM GONNA CHOP UP THESE 'ERE SARDINES you open the can with your fireman's axe and lose some of the contents in the process your can has magically turned from badly damaged to pristine because of the unquestionable glory of the axe

i personally inspect every grain of rice/bean with an electron microscope to check for impurities i'll only eat it if it's symmetrical

i love the new compass. -
you say that now, but when society returns you're going to look pretty stupid for obsessing over consumables. the river runs thick, the forests are full of animals (or they will be), and there's enough 5.56 about to sink a ship hoardingZ
-
by endgame, we're talking about the time after you've got your gear (+camp+vehicle after they're added back in) aside from piles and piles of gold, i'd also like to see a wide variety of more realistic looking animals. endgame is finding and skinning the one albino bear
-
i'd read the blurb about lifespan, but why wouldn't i be able to eat my beans after somebody shot them? there'd be some shrapnel in there, granted, but still plenty o beans

Blood Type Whiners - You don't have what it will take.

i've found it very easy to get a medkit up including all types of pills, vitamins, painkillers, blood bags, syringes, blood tests, water purification, and etc. i don't see why anyone else should have an issue with this. also, the fact that you have to take your own blood to fill a blood bag and keep your energy levels up to refill your blood is very nice. However; one thing i find very lacking, only spawning in the red medkit, is bandages. granted, i can rip up great heaps of shirts as i travel through towns, but my OCD is leaving me wanting a bandage. -

waypoint was always a crutch -
bullshit. currency loses it's value, rare metals are still rare. jewellery is still jewellery.
-
i want to dig a tunnel and fill it with gold also dayz needs valuable items like gold, gems and jewellery.
-
how does this apply to food though, why is it necesary for my food to have HP does the status of the food indicate how much hp/hunger it heals?

while i agree with your post, i don't think everyone feels the same disorientation. i've found myself thinking many times today "i know that treeline." (i haven't been on chernarus since taviana release) people whining about the medical system are 5 years old the only part of the map that really changed is the north survival is easy as long as you have an axe, beans and a river. (there's one that runs practically 1/3 the way balota-NWAF transit) -
the only 7.62 i've come across is 20 rounds in a brown paper wrapping
